I really should know better then to take months of from dis. I'm caught up. Still an amazing trip. I laugh at 50 being cold. I remember thinking that once abound a time. When I lived in So Calif. Living here in IA now and people were pulling out jackets this weekend. Really I have no idea how they make it threw the winter.
After reading your reviews and seeing your pics of BOG thinking may just have to stop for a cupcake then a meal.
Love seeing DL pics. It has been over 23 years since i was last there.
Hi Sandy! Thanks for getting caught up and reading along!
Keep in mind that I'm a cold weather wimp so 50 degrees for us and I'm bundled up.

It must be a So Ca thing! Being a transplant to Iowa it looks like you have acclimated to colder climates.
Cupcakes and rolls - it's a great meal at BoG!
Thanks, it's a pleasure to share the DL updates as well.
Why thank you wiii!
Ooooh you're a posting superstar lately. No complaints from me though!
It's too bad your food wasn't to your liking, but really glad the atmosphere made up for it. The place looks so amazing. I know I have to eat there someday.
A picture with the Beast is definitely on my bucket list.
Oh look... Em's feeling up another statue!

Somebody needs to watch her children!!
If I wasn't convinced before I sure am now...The 2 of you are without a doubt Disney royalty!
Love finned Ariel!!!
Given your Disney royalty status I honestly expected that sword to move.
Make sure to post a link (even though I'm sure you would anyway) if/when Em does a TR!!!
I so love these little side reports from D-Land.
On a slightly unrelated note, are you planning on attending a Christmas Party in December? Just curious.
Heck I have to compete with someone else here who is updating two trip reports at a mad pace!

Seriously, I need to wrap this thing up in the next two weeks so I'm trying to pick up the pace.
The problem with BoG was entirely ME!

I'm going to give them a break and not blame them for me ordering a lame side salad. But honestly, it was a fabulous experience and I'm looking forward to eating there again.
About that statue...you've got it all wrong. He was so proud of his 6 pack abs that he invited a feel of his quads as well. Yeah, we'll go with that one otherwise I have to admit that my kid has a serious problem.
And finned Ariel loves you!
Honestly, it's just as well that we weren't able to pull the sword out because it's such a pain to get through airport security with those things!
Certainly, I'll let you know! For now you'll have to check out her awesome photo skills with her dining review if you haven't already. (Pimping my kid here ya know!)
Yes, we are doing the
MVMCP one of the nights we are there and doing CP dining x 2. We'll buy you a ticket if you want to join us! Em and I are meeting up with several Diser's in December. I think we even have titles - Disney Dining Divas.

(Rachel, you're in the club!)
I will be trying Be Our Guest for the first time in October and it's good to hear that you enjoyed the atmosphere and themes. That's how I'm approaching this dinner in that I have high expectations for how the restaurant looks and feels and low expectations for the food.
Love your pictures at the Blue Bayou! I really wanted to try it during my 1.5 day whirlwind tour of DLR but couldn't find time to fit that meal in. I did have time though after the parks closed for Napa Rose at the Chef's Counter. It was excellent!
Hi Dave! Given a better menu choice (let's be honest, how exciting could a side salad be?) you should be fine for both the meal and the awesome theming. I look forward to hearing what you think!
It had been several years since we'd been to Blue Bayou but this was unexpectedly good. I crashed Em's solo dining experience there since she had a reservation for 1 but of course 1 means a table for 4 there.
That's awesome that you did the Chef's Counter at Napa Rose. Coming up I have a quick update for our dinner there. (spoiler alert: loved it!)
Another updating machine (MEK was the other). Loved your updates from
Disneyland.
I'm sorry you didn't enjoy BOG more than you did. We've eaten there twice and had wonderful meals both times (and I'll be back there in 18 days). You should have had the french onion soup....it was very, very good.
Dessert is always a good choice. We loved the West Wing except for it being so dark.
I saw Mary Ellen's 20 updates for Savannah!

I'm trying to get this thing done before August 16th... You know what happens on that day!!!
Funny you mention the French onion soup. I should have ordered that since I love it but I had ordered it at Chefs a few days prior so I was looking for something else. I won't make that mistake again! Glad you endorse it!
Hi! I'm a relatively new DISer who has finally caught up with your awesome TR! All the room upgrades you received were fantastic. We were upgraded from a standard room at POR to a one bedroom villa at OKW and it was an amazing experience! I definitely have to check out Emily's DR next, you guys ate at so many awesome places!
Hi Courtneybelle! Welcome to the Disboards and thank you so much for reading along!
I'm glad that you've experienced the Disney magic of pixie dust as well!
Eating is a great hobby or ours!

There's something about vacation eating at WDW!
Love the pics of the blue bayou. My DD wants very badly to eat there since we can't do club 33. Lol
She played vmk until they shut it down and loved the mock up on the game. We are headed to DL (finally, this trip was postponed for 3 years) next July 2014.
Thank you for sharing!!
Hi Jeanne! Well, if you can't do Club 33 then why not eat next door?

It was a great experience.
I vaguely recall something about vmk but I'm not clear on what that is.

But hey, that is exciting to have a DL trip on the horizon!!!
What an amazing personal experience at BOG. I would have felt like royalty with the whole restaurant to myself. Your trip has been awe inspiring so far. I cannot wait to hear more.
Hi Kristin! We had perfect timing with such a late dinner reservation otherwise we wouldn't have been so lucky.
Thanks for reading!
How cool that you were able to have a tour of BOG. The imagineers seemed to have really hit it out of the ballpark with New Fantasyland and BOG.
You, Em, and Ariel look so lovely "under the sea."
I do hope Em writes a TR for DLR.
Hi Ashley! I wish I could recall all the factoids that were shared but of course, that was months ago at this point combined with the fact that I'm old and forgetful and there you go! I know there were more hidden Mickey's.
Thanks! Ariel is Em's favorite so we had to see her!
Em really wants to do a mini TR from our DCH stay so Ill keep you posted.
