These are NOT the rooms that I paid for! 3 Resorts in 10 days - Trivia Answers 9/3

Oh my, don't I understand THAT!

ATTENTION... ATTENTION.... PLEASE SEE POST # 378

OH MY GOODNESS!!! You wonderfully evil lady!! :lmao: You know I HAVE to make those now! If they are anything like I think they will be I will have to post a photo and mini review!

Thank you for sharing that recipe.

For anyone else interested in making these let me know if you try.

Ahhhhh... I'm going to have to run a few extra miles this weekend! :rotfl:

Hi Brenda! The more I read about your trip, the more I'm hoping that someday when our kids are older that we can enjoy similar fun and bonding Disney trips like you and Em are having. And hopefully I've started the "brainwashing" process early enough that they will still love Disney World when they're 17. ;)

So is Em trying to trip or kick Bo in the shin? :rotfl: I'm going to have to try to find out what your history with Bo is from your past TRs since I just started following your adventures recently!

And I agree with you that it looks like your PP photog for the ToT poses didn't seem to be all that inspired. He cut off the top of the Hollywood Hotel - how dare he! :scared1: Ok, sorry, that's the photo nerd in me speaking. :rotfl: Hmmm, maybe that's what I should do when I retire - be a Photopass Photographer. Anyway, still loved your poses and expressions on the ToT pics! :thumbsup2

Awwww thanks Dave.... I agree you are increasing your chances of a successful indoctrination by starting your kids young with exposure to the Disney magic!

Yes, Em is kicking Bo.... she was tired of the posing. Bo seems to ignore me everytime we go to DHS but I DO give him attention. Here's a sample of some of our past photo ops but you are free to browse past TRs.

Happy Friday!

Thanks for posting the pictures with Bo! Had me smiling. Looks like Bo is playing hard to get. :rotfl: And I love the expression on Em's face in the one where she is standing next to Bo with a noticeable distance in between. ;)

How nice that you have a "go to" server at YSH! He seems like a nice guy! That postcard touch is awesome!

I need to go to Yachtsman!!!

We haven't tried the Yachtsman yet, but it is on my list to try sometime.

Well, thankfully I WAS up to date and then you go and post another one.

I'm glad you enjoyed your lunch at 50's; but how could you go on R&R right after that? I'd be in the bathroom for several hours. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Love the photos with Bo, as always.

Yachtsman! :worship::worship::worship: My new favorite Disney restaurant. Twice in four months and I'm a happy girl. Em did a good job on that steak of hers. And Ricardo is too cute.

Oh just a little FYI....the Pina Colada at Yachtsman gets :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 from me...give it a try next time. :)

You are much braver than me, to not only GO on RnRC, but right after lunch!!! :rotfl:

Your dinner at Yachtsman looks great! How nice that you were able to see Ricardo again!

Awesome update! Great to know you can get a TV table for a party of two. Did you request the table Brenda, or was it just pixie dust? I'm planning on lunch at 50's in October and am hoping for a TV table as it will be my sister's first time there. I know she'd get a kick out of the programs! :goodvibes

Yachtsman looks wonderful, those onion rolls are seriously making my mouth water! Of course, that could be because of the low-carb diet I'm following in preparation for the food orgy to come. :lmao: I have to admit I'm also coveting your mashed potatoes. ::yes::

Good for Em for tackling that awe-inspiring steak! I also admire her for trying the bone marrow, I don't think I would have been so brave. Did she ever get around to finishing her steak?

Ricardo looks like a sweetheart, and the postcard is a lovely gesture.

Hope you're having a great weekend!

It looks like yall had a fun time at DHS! Those guys are RNRC sound... ya know, you're right. There's just no way to make 'cute' sound macho! :lmao:

Ricardo sounds like such a sweet man. It looks like it was a wonderful meal!

Love the pics with Bo! Great idea on the kids meal for Em, I never think if that but sometimes so hard to eat big meal.

Can't get enough of that crazy suite.. How nice to fall asleep in sunroom.. Nice.

Diner at yachtsman steakhouse I have to have to put on my list yummy looking. Good choice on the Bloody Mary, being Canadian I would rather a ceaser however since they don't serve mots clamato juice in Florida Bloody Mary would work ;)

Looking forward to emh at Epcot!

Love the updates!!! Your dinner at Yachtsmen look fantastic- definitely going to have to add that to our next trip!! I am a newly converted short rib fan myself, I can't believe I was missing out on all that yumminess until now.

Evening Brenda!

Hope you are having a great weekend :)

Wonderful updates as always. We haven't been to 50s for years - although I have been know to pop into the Tune In Lounge from time to time ;)

I had no idea that the view finder dessert menus took a bit of a break - we though they were so cool, so I am glad to see they are back, even though I didn't know they had gone!

You and Em both look beautiful at your YSH dinner. It must have been so nice to get all dressed up and ready in that stunning suite and them just pop downstairs for dinner ...... Aaah living the dream :)

Joining in!!! All I can say is...ohhh....myyyy....goodness!!!! What an incredible trip so far for you!

What an incredible room. So elegant and gorgeous...I just can't imagine what it must have been like to walk in there. I probably would have teared up too!! I am so happy that the pixie dust was with you that day.

Thanks for sharing and I am looking forward to reading more!! :flower3:

Wow! I reallllyyyy want to go to that restaurant now. Totally sold. I hope we get someone as nice as Ricardo for a server! You guys look like you had such a great time. Loving it!

Great update!! I love all all your photos with Bo! And Ems, photo putting him in his place :rotfl2:
50s looks so fun, the TV tables are the best!

Napping in the sunroom in the Admirals suite, at the Yatch Club, in Disney World! Doesn't get much better :goodvibes

Yatchmans looks so delicious!! What a nice waiter! I set up my parents with a meal there maybe I will request Ricardo if he's working! Again you ladies looked beautiful for your dinner!! :goodvibes

You noticed her, "I'm sick of Bo" look!

How nice that you have a "go to" server at YSH! He seems like a nice guy! That postcard touch is awesome!

I need to go to Yachtsman!!!

Hi Rachel! Yes, nice guy and I'll email him again to make sure we get a table in his section. He's so nice that he said he would swap days off to serve us but I assured him I would never book on his days off. He's too nice!

We haven't tried the Yachtsman yet, but it is on my list to try sometime.

Hi Susan! Definitely a place to keep on your list!

Well, thankfully I WAS up to date and then you go and post another one.

That's right, you had a birthday dinner for Mark at YSH. Hmmm... another drink to try, I could do that! :)

Your dinner at Yachtsman looks great! How nice that you were able to see Ricardo again!

I actually haven't thought about the whole roller coaster post meal thing I guess I'm just one of those iron gut type people! What would have been interesting is ToT... maybe the drop would make my meal.... oh never mind!!

Hi Carol! This time at 50s PT we asked for a TV table but we have asked for a particular server before and they coindicently seated us at a TV table so I know parties of 2 can get them.

Ha! I know what you mean about the "diet before Dis World" thing... I try to eat healthy at home to accomodate for all the vacation food that I can't resist but sometimes it's just so hard when you reading dining reviews and crave things like those onion rolls! And yes, Em did actually finish that steak... just not the bone marrow. Ick.

Have a great weekend my Dis buddy!! :goodvibes

It looks like yall had a fun time at DHS! Those guys are RNRC sound... ya know, you're right. There's just no way to make 'cute' sound macho!

Ricardo sounds like such a sweet man. It looks like it was a wonderful meal!

Hi Marissa! Yes, next to MK, I love DHS. Especially the streetmosphere stuff.

I wish I had been able to see those guys faces when they were ON the RnRC ride.

Love the pics with Bo! Great idea on the kids meal for Em, I never think if that but sometimes so hard to eat big meal.

Hi Patti! If I can't get Em to share a sampler platter I may opt for the kid meal next time myself! Good to know.

I've heard about the caesar before but clamato juice scares me! I may take Kathy's suggestion regarding a Pina Colada. Heck, why not both? :lmao:

Love the updates!!! Your dinner at Yachtsmen look fantastic- definitely going to have to add that to our next trip!! I am a newly converted short rib fan myself, I can't believe I was missing out on all that yumminess until now.

Hi there you Maine-iac! If you are a newly converted short rib lover then you need to put this place on your list to try!! It is so good. Oh, and ask for Ricardo. :)

Evening Brenda!

Hope you are having a great weekend.

Hi Linda!! I'm so embarrassed that I missed your CA TR until today. My apologies for not paying attention.

I took a photo of the Tune in Lounge and thought of you and your mowie wowie! :) I was finally able to see the viewfinders that I had heard so much about! They make dessert choice all that more difficult with the photos.

Awwww thanks for the compliment!

Signed your fellow December Dis Dining Diva! :goodvibes

Hi there Ashley!! Thank you so much for joining in! I am so glad that you are here! How exciting that you have a trip coming up soon for a birthday celebration - how awesome!

Thank you! It was a wonderful trip even if we didn't have that special room. :)

Wow! I reallllyyyy want to go to that restaurant now. Totally sold. I hope we get someone as nice as Ricardo for a server! You guys look like you had such a great time. Loving it!

Hi Jennifer! Thanks, we enjoyed dinner and seeing Ricardo again made it that much nicer. He's such a sweet and gracious man.

Great update!! I love all all your photos with Bo! And Ems, photo putting him in his place :rotfl2:

Nicole! My little bride to be! You are seriously at less than a month now??

I can give you Ricardo's email information and schedule if you want to PM me. What a lovely meal for your parents! Thank you for the kind comment.

Have I asked you if you plan to do a DR or TR yet? At least share some photos of your big day? I'm so happy for you!

Monday February 25, 2013: Day 3, Part 5

Back in the room we quickly changed into our play clothes before we headed out to Epcot for EMH. We were on a mission… a mission that I am embarrassed to admit that I undertook. You see, Marissa (MarDgreen88), made me aware that the Malestrom boats make an appearance from the outside based on a photo in her latest TR. See here in Marissa’s TR for the moment that I confessed just how unobservant I really am!

DSC09794.jpg

So my mission was to stare at the wall and see a boat appear. Better yet, we arrived at the ride and there was no one there! It was essentially park closing time so we had the ride to ourselves. The kind CM offered to take our photo in the boat.

DSC09802.jpg

During the ride I kept asking Em, “are we there yet?” I believe she responded with her own question, “Do you feel the outside air yet?” Ok, so I was a bit annoying, I didn’t want to miss the big moment when I was able to confirm that indeed this ride ducked outside. And guess what, IT DID!!!! Yay! Now, I can speak with authority when I tell people that this is a cool ride, the boat almost falls through a hole in the wall!

Waiting....
DSC09807.jpg

Not yet....

DSC09809.jpg

What is that you see? YES! Outside the ride!
DSC09812.jpg

Next time anyone asks me about this ride, you can bet that I will include that little bit of information regarding the boat almost backs outside and over the wall. Scary stuff but we survived! ;)

After de-boating the ride, there was no Norwegian movie. The mini auditorium was vacant. I suppose at park closing time they don’t bother. We exited through the dump shop where I became obsessed with Laila, the scent of Norway. More on that another day.

A quiet Norwegian village house!
DSC09815.jpg

Even quieter theater! I almost made Em sit down while I gave a lecture on Norwegian culture. I had just spent 10 minutes in Norway... I'm an expert I'm sure!
DSC09818.jpg

No, I did NOT pick the nose of the troll - Rob, looking at you!
DSC09822.jpg

Since the park was officially closed we chose to walk to International Gateway through World Showcase. It was such a peaceful pleasant stroll. We took photos along the way, never really stopping. At one point when we were near America a Cast Member was walking past us in the opposite direction and reminded us that the park was closed. Uhhh… yeah, we know. We’re walking towards the exit. So odd… the way she said it made us feel like we were naughty kids that had snuck into the park.

After exiting the park we walked to YC but not before I took a stroll on the beach of Crescent Lake. I have to tell you that the sand is so velvety soft. It was heaven between my little red painted toes. While on the beach we saw the movie schedule… good to know if we wanted to see Freaky Friday on a Sunday!

The lounge for CL is open 24 hours so we were able to grab drinks and head back to the room. I’m pretty sure we didn’t do anything but hang out in the sunroom before calling it a day around 12:30am.
