Thermal Springs Project In Adventureland

Yep, I believe it's true! I'm pretty excited for the changes. The only part I'm a little skeptical about is that all the changes will supposedly take place before Fantasmic opens. Guess we shall see!

I think it's a great idea. It would be nice to sit inside and eat in A/C at Bengal BBQ. And I agree it's really congested in this area so, I'm glad they're working on this.

I hope they don't lose Shunken Head Ned, who always makes me smile!

Have they even started any of this? The end of June is only three weeks away.

From Natalie Price , a CM :

Here's confirmation of what's going on. This information is on the Cast Members website... image_43031.png

I like it that Disney is making a change to enhance guest experience instead of increase profit. Even if the stores weren't doing well, they could have replaced them with something money-generating instead of seating and stroller parking. I like what this says about their mindset and I'm thrilled about the potential to ease the awful gridlock in Adventureland.

Honestly, it sounds like it may have been a safety hazard. A lawsuit or two is going to be a money issue.

This can be done really quickly. They are literally just removing the merchandise, adding tables and relocating items to the other side. There is no construction involved.

From another blogger:
Was disgusted to read this morning that at least one of the gorgeous central "tree islands" will be removed as part of this project:

This is something I've feared albatross Colglazier has been itching to do for a while. Those big trees are essential to the atmosphere of Disneyland, especially the jungle-themed Adventureland - my favorite area in the park. I'd rather see crowd thinning through price hikes, minimizing my own visits, than damage the integrity of the park - creating less-charming, Tokyo Disneyland-style pavement corridors - in order to squeeze more cattle through the Disneyland feedlot.

There are more than enough trees in Disneyland. This is a non issue, IMO. That Adventureland corridor needs to be more open. The trees are in the way.

I agree, love the trees in Adventureland! Hopefully not the one with the Little Man?
