They really enjoy Arizona. We are hoping to visit them in March.

Last time we went was in March and it was beautiful. :thumbsup2

LOL I have done things like that too. That is how I ended up pregnant with my dd except mine was the residual effects of Codine. :rotfl:

:lmao: :rotfl: Tequila here.

We just went to the zoo one day as that is my dd's favorite place right now. Then another day we went to the Arbor Day Farm's apple orchard and got some apples and walked on some trails they have there.

Sounds like some fun day trips. :goodvibes

Must be a man thing.pirate:

:rotfl2: ::yes::

D Bar is just a little dessert/food bar that opened in Denver last year. As I said earlier Keegan Gerhard (from Food Network) opened it in Denver in the Uptown area. I first read about it about a month after it opened when a Denver food critic did a write-up. The food there is good, mostly comfort foods like paninis and mac & cheese. But what this place is known for is desserts. Keegan is a master pastry chef he used to be the Assistant Executive Pastry Chef or Executive Pastry Chef for Waldorf Astoria, Ritz Carlton and Wynn Las Vegas. So as you might expect the desserts are absolutely incredible.

One of the nice things about the restaurant is that he works there unless he is out of town for FNC tapings. And when he's there his pastry kitchen is right next to a section of seating and he is extremely friendly and conversational. If you ever get to Denver you have to check it out.

:cloud9: Sounds amazing and worth making a trip to Denver for.

Perhaps I missed this...but do the servers charge you a "sharing plate fee" when you split/share a meal? Do they act all weird b/c they aren't getting as high a tab?

After working in the restaurant business for over 15 years, there is a vibe that most good tippers give off. I think we give that vibe. ;) We order well. Most people willing to shell out for appetizers, booze, and those $7 Tinkerbell drinks for their children are generally fabulous tippers. We have never been charged a spilt plate fee at Disney or anywhere else. :goodvibes The split plate fee is usually optional and used to jack up the bill.

Thanks! I guess I just assumed it was all the restaurants (sit-down)...didn't realize TE was excluded ...

It's very very limited on CS too.

Tell me why..............the QSDP does seem like a better deal.

For me it's less about the cost savings or break even point, although I will try to maximize value. I like the all inclusive feel of the Dining Plan. Paying up front for me takes away the pressure of dealing with money when at meals....Once I'm at WDW my room card functions as my credit card for purchases, my meal ticket and my ticket media much like the Key to the World card functions on the DCL...I like that....that's just me....

That is what my parents say too.

:lmao: :rotfl: Tequila here.

:lmao:I had just had all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled. It was the last day I had pain pills. I probably really didn't need but who wants to let good pain meds go to waste. :rotfl2:

They were. My dh had originally wanted to go somewhere but he decided he would rather save money for Disney.

You definitely should. DW and I would love to show you Denver. You would absolutely love it (Denver and D Bar). You can check it out here: http://dbardesserts.com

Yeah, I know what you mean. DW and I try to tip well and my DSIL works in the restaurant business and she tips as much as 30% frequently. On the other side are my parents. My DDad is a notoriously poor tipper (10%, 15% if you're lucky).

I think the QSDP is a great deal. :thumbsup2 With 2 snack credits it might be a great during F&W. I too like the idea of having things pre-paid. That way Michael never really knows the total amount- the less he opens his wallet, the better. :lmao: :littleangel:

:goodvibes Kindred spirits we are. Winkers too. She likes her scripts!

More money for and at Disney is a good thing. :thumbsup2

:scared: My in-laws are the same way. I tell them it's tipping not tithing and to pony up.

:woohoo: 12 days until AZ/Vegas!!! :woohoo:

:grouphug: 46 days until So Cal!!! :grouphug:

:dumbo: 50 days until DVC ressie!!! :dumbo:

:beach: 173 days until Mexico!!! :beach:

Wow. Not too long before you can make your DVC ressies...crazy.

Having worked in the industry, I usually tip at least 20% for good service and 25-30 for excellent service.

:thumbsup2 Atta boy J! You strike me as a good tipper. ::yes::

:hyper: I know, I can't believe I can almost make my DVC reservations. DH said last night he'd love to go and spend like 3 days just chilling at the resort. That's just crazy talk.

That's what I'm gonna try to do at OKW for 4 days....just chill! Can you believe being at WDW and NOT going to the parks? Crazy is right!

No parks? Just beer? Maybe there will be a cute blonde you can share a lounge chair with? When Michael says "just the resort" that's code for golf and booze. ;)

If I remember correctly....it was a brunette...I think...;)

My "just the resort" is pool, laundry and a few drinks....

I just knew she was a female stranger who liked to get horizontal.

I like to have a drink by the pool while doing laundry. Don't be fooled by the rocks that I got.
