Oooh the Poly :yay:

Get to the good part chica! I hope you got yourself one of them lapu lapus! ;)

Hey, I'm trying to get the hang of this cliffhanger stuff. ;)

ok all caught up, great report.

Thank you scottny! Stay tuned for more updates soonish.

Love the swimsuit description :lmao: Can't believe they wouldn't do the slides because of their hair OMG you should see my hair at the water parks :rotfl2:

Oooh the Poly :yay:

Yes I know I thought the same thing too. :sad2: I had already moved on from their personal drama issues and was determined to have myself a good time. :)

Collette and Monica didn’t want to get wet because of their hair and Yani doesn’t know how to swim so they stayed in our spot with our stuff to lounge and get some sun on.
Okay...let's go to a water park but I don't want to get wet nor can I swim! :confused3

As soon as the little green light went off for me to go I pushed off and was plunged into darkness and all of a sudden this panic set in and my amusement went into pure fear and adrenaline and screamed the rest of the way down. That felt like the longest drop in history too and was sooo happy when we slid to the end. I had my arms crossed over my tankini top because I was not about to make some kids have an R rated experience at TL.
Now THAT sounds like fun!!! Or should I say funny?

We went back to find the girls who were all laid out in chairs sunning themselves and chatting. We talked, then took some pics in the lagoon area since I hadn’t taken hardly any pics. This is the only one of those pics I'm sharing because the other ones aren't too flattering:

Aw...come on! The more unflattering the better I look! :lmao:

UH...who is this? Flame suit on to protect my ignorance.

It's Rob Thomas, otherwise known as RT. He's a singer, was the lead singer to a rock-ish group called Matchbox 20 but has since gone solo. Anyway if you go to Disneyolic's TR or MySpace page you will see she has a little thing for him. ;)

Thank you! You made my night!

You're Welcome DM. Thought you'd like that picture. It's so hard to find a pic of him not looking over his shoulder, what's up with that? :confused3

We pass some stairs that a whole bunch of other people are walking up, I wonder what’s up there? We keep walking down this hallway and then out a door, and then all I see is greenness and all the different longhouses in the Poly, oh how beautiful can I stay here? :cloud9:

Well if you haven’t figured it out by now we are not going to Ohana’s :sad2: (sorry to disappoint), but are trying to find the Luau, and once again I'm lost and I have no focking clue where I am going because the signs that direct you to the Luau aren’t really helping.:upsidedow I see some other people looking as confused:confused3 as I am and I’m assuming they’re going to the Luau too and then I spot some other people down a walkway and I decide to head in that direction. Lo and behold there is….the line? I thought we were going to be late and there’s a freakin’ late? Oh well, we're here!
CIMG1021.jpg

Actually I’m pretty relieved and then I feel overdressed. Here we all are lookin’ all purty and everyone else is in shorts and jeans and plain old t-shirts. What’s up with that? Whatever, I check in and get checked off on a list and the luverly CM compliments us on our outfits. Yeah! Not feeling overdressed anymore, everyone else is just underdressed. :snooty: They direct me down the line a little and then we all get Leid!
CIMG0967.jpg

We take some pics while waiting

CIMG0971.jpg

Then they start letting everyone in and taking the pricey pictures. Well since I know I won’t be buying this overpriced pic we kindly ask the people behind us if they could take our pic. Out of about 4 pics taken of this little portrait this is the only decent one…..sheesh.
CIMG0978.jpg

We go down the walk some more and I hand over the ticket I was given earlier at the first check-in to the second check-in person and off we go to our table.

Flashback: We paid OOP for the Luau because I had to make some last minute ADR changes when I changed our park days thanks to TGM, but when I did that they didn’t have any availability for our party size on this particular day. So I had called later on to Disney Dining and spoke with a lovely CM and she said that she had availability for the day I wanted and I asked her to book it, then she asked me for a CC (whah? ) I told her we would be on the DDP and she explained that I couldn’t use the DDP (whah? ) because the opening she had was for priority seating or something like that and they don’t take the DDP for that seating. Huh….what to do?:scratchin So I said ok thank you, but no thanks. After doing some FDM on my other ADR’s I decided to screw it all and pay OOP for this one and use my now extra 2TS for other ADR’s I wanted. So I called back and asked for the Luau and was told there was no availability (whah? Like 1 minute passed by in my time away!) So I told the CM that I had just called and that they had priority seating availability and she looked into it, and lo and behold they did and I said, “book it!” Then went on and made 2 other ADR’s and got wished a Happy Birthday and Magical Day.pixiedust: End Flashback.

So we get seated at our priority seating table (or whatever it was called) and we have a pretty good view of the stage, woohoo! Our waitress comes over and explains everything to us, but none of us can really hear:listen: her because the noise is a little loud. Anyhoo, she had left us menus and we all start looking at it kinda confused on how to order.

The show begins and then people start getting served appetizers on these cool long leaf tray thingies in the middle of the table. Then we get served too. Ok I guess they just bring you the food and you don’t really order. I explain my theory to everyone and Collette and Monica look a little confused  (what’s new:sad2: ). So we all start digging in ‘cause we be hungry.

Lemme tell you, the bread is absolutely delicious and I loved it.

Show continuing, cute little show about the family and how family means Ohana, awww how cute it's like rewatching Lilo & Stitch. Then the show asks the audience if it’s anyone’s birthday and I raise my hand like a good little girl:angel: and the other gals are start pointing at me. I’m not the only one celebrating today though, so they ask all who are celebrating to come up to the stage. Again feeling overdressed, but one of the actors commented on my dress, so everyone else was underdressed again, but not me. :snooty: We’re shown a dance:dance3: and then told that we’ll be performing this while we get sung Happy Birthday Aloha style.

Here’s the one good shot that my group got of me: (I look horrible in the rest so not showing those)
CIMG0986.jpg

So after the birthday celebrators, the actors make special announcement about other people celebrating (newlyweds and anniversary people) and they continue the show.

Our entrée comes shortly after and there’s so much meat! So we all start digging in and having more of the yummy pineapple-y bread and enjoy our meal as we enjoy the show.

Happy Birthday to Me Part 2 cont: Luau!

I love your report. Aside from the Epcot incident it sounds like you are having a great time.

I love the outfits you all wore to dinner. You all looked so pretty!

It seems as though you had a great birthday and I hope the rest of the trip is just as great!

Well the focker croc ever show up? Will Colette and Monica clue in? I can't wait to find out. Keep up the good work!

Then the good part of the show begins with all the different luau dances from the different tribes of Hawaii. Oh my little goodness these guys are H O T! Mmmmmmmm,
drooling-4.gif
factor at 1 o’clock! We sit back and enjoy the show and catcall at the male dancers and their beautiful bodies and take some pics:

Then the fire dancer guy comes on. Woooohoooo! Now this is what I was waiting for. I got my camera ready and took some pics:

Please sit back and enjoy the video (sorry for the quality, it was taking forever to upload to photobucket so I used their fast upload thingy and I think that’s why it looks so grainy, looks much better on my computer):

As soon as the fire dancer guy finishes out come all the waiters/waitresses carrying trays with our desserts and a volcano! OMG how cool! Where’s my camera? I quickly snap a pick and actually end up getting our luverly waitress:
CIMG0992.jpg

I honestly don’t know how she held that tray, it looked heavy and she doesn’t look like the strongest lady to be carrying that.

So we got served our luverly dessert
CIMG0993.jpg

and finished watching the rest of the show and took some pics:
CIMG0994.jpg

Here are some pics we took outside the Luau as we were leaving in our full Aloha spirit:

(I told DC to do the "hang loose" thingy with her hand) ;)

It was around 7:30 pm by now and we really don’t have much planned (well I have a plan in mind, but I’ve soon come to learn that not everyone may be up for all I have planned so I keep it to myself until everyone winds down from the current events seeing as I don’t want anymore tails showing this trip like what happened in Epcot:sad2: ). So we wander around the Poly some more and if I just knew that this is where the famed Lapus where I so would have hit up the bar and gotten me one, but sadly I was not aware of these heavenly drinks and their location at the time of this trip. :guilty:

We hit up the gift shop and DC disappears….again.:sad2: Yani and I are walking around admiring the gift shop and all the cute clothes that we don’t have in our gift shop and then I look for DC and can’t find her so I head out to where Collette and Monica had snagged a bench by the waterfall fountain and take a seat because all of a sudden my shoes are killing me. We watch the family next to us which is composed of like 4 guys who have come up with a little leg crossing routine that is absolutely hilarious. Basically they looked like a sit down version of male rockettes and it was hysterical.:rotfl: I decide to head back into the gift shop and look for DC. I spot her by some H2O products and she has this excited look on her face and like 4 bottles in her arms. I look at her  and ask her if she’s planning on buying these overly priced H2O products here when she can probably get them cheaper at the malls back home. So she hurriedly tells me that they no longer make the Mango Tango or whatever it was called type and that she loves that one and she can’t find it in the malls at home. I check the price tag and am shocked :scared1: and say “You’re gonna buy all those?” She looks down at all the bottles in her hand and settles on buying only 2 of them. I shrug and tell her it’s her money and tell her to hurry up because we want to go. She then tells me to help her pick out some bracelet for her boyfriend. I help her pick out a shell type necklace thingy that looks guy enough and tell her I’ll wait for her outside. She finally comes out like 5 minutes later and we proceed to pick up the car from the valet.

We admire the entrance of the Poly again as it’s now lit with torches and looks absolutely beautiful. Oh how I’d love to stay here with the monorail right there. :::sigh::: Someday. :cloud9:

I give my ticket to the valet guy, the same guy flirting with me earlier. This time he’s not making small talk and he and some other guy go and get our car. They come back and I ask them how much I owe them and they just wave me off meaning nothing. I pause and look and give them the “You’re sure?” eyes and they wave me off and I say “Thank You.” Jump in the car before they change their mind and off we go! :flower3:

I stopped to get some gas, because the gauge is on Empty already and I don’t want to risk getting stranded and hey look how convenient there’s a gas station right there by the Poly and the gas is actually cheaper than Miami! Score!:cool1:

So we head back to the resort with nothing really planned. Well I have something planned, but I don’t know how everyone is feeling and up to.

GNO!
