Hi all!

Just got back from our Christmastime wknd that was suppossed to have been at the CR....spent one night there figuring that not only would we be saving $$ paying cash with a discount code for Fri. and Sat. nights but would make my 4yr old ds happy as he's been begging to stay at the CR for the last few trips. Well...we will be sure not to make that mistake again lol. We spent only 1night out of the 2 that we were suppossed to at the Contemporary and then ended up at the front desk asking if we could move back home to OKW. The CM's at both resorts were soo awesome! They not only were able to move us but we still were given the discount, got a 1bdrm and for not significantly much more than we were paying for the room at the CR and got 2nd floor,bldng.#55 villa #5521 - 2nd floor overlooking the canal right next to the Southpoint pool! It to date is one of the most awesome spots we've had at OKW! We got to the room and it was like all was right with the world again :cloud9: lol. Next time, we will stick with "if it's not broke, don't fix it!"

Us..Spoiled by DVC?!....Nah :earboy2: No sarcasm here lol

P.S. .....the MVMCP was terrific! To all who have an upcoming trip Enjoy!!

you need to only stay the last night (leave in the morning) - not two - at anyone else choice of a WDW resort...

then you are generally very happy to leave. :cool1:

Anyway that is how I do it. We lately have been spending alot of time at off-site hotels, condo - the area has some very, very nice ones.

What size rooom was 5521?

I believe it was posted that 5521 was a 1 bedroom. That means it is probably a 2 bedroom lock off. We LOVE buildings 55 and 56!

I am going to OKW in September. Would it be feasible to request either 55 or 56 and what do you think the chances are of getting that?

It never hurts to request it;) I requested bldng.#46 once which is also on the canal and got it - ya just never know. Your chances may depend on what time of year your looking to stay. That was a Sept. stay a few yrs ago which isn't a terribly busy time of year I don't think. As long as you go with the attitude that if you luck out and get it you do, but that it won't ruin your vacation if you don't, you'll be fine. :flower1:

We are going the last week in September so I think I will go for it! Thanks for the information!
