Great pictures and fun viewing. Grand Floridian Cafe is one of my favorites, good food and I have always had great service. The wait staff really have the Disney spirit of hospitality.

OH. MY. HECK. They were freaking hysterical! Really, it was like having a lounge act there. In the lounge. I don’t know what got into those boys, but they’d let loose and tapped into their inner frat-boys.

I cannot believe my brother's gut is posted on the internet! You remember the story of why he decided to hike up shirt, right? All the guys were teasing him for ordering a "chick" drink. So he decided to hit on Tony. Hee hee hee.

It was a really, really, really fun night. Thank you all again for being there.

Oh man, that was probably the most fun I've had in WDW EVER!

I wasn’t there; I only heard about it the next day. And, if she’ll forgive me saying so, LL’s tale of that night was equal parts HIGH-larious and heart-breaking. All I’m saying is this: Michael really should have just bunked with Leo in our room when we got dropped off. The full story involves lost shoes, neck-craning, and, correct me if I’m wrong… singing? Push LL for the story; it’ll knock your socks off.

Oh gosh, I forgot all about this part!

Next: So long, farewell… and “I’m never speaking to you again!”

And LL remembered out loud, as we approached the gate, that she’d left her room key… in the room. As had Tony. And also Michael.

Uh-oh

First, while Victorian excess isn’t my cup of decorating tea, it’s hard not to be impressed by the GF. And the GF Café is an extension of that lobby look – very pretty, with lovely views of the immaculate grounds.

V, if you walk all the way through the GF lobby to the end, is that the cafe? You have to go up a couple of steps? If so, we had the Tea there last August and it was wonderful. I didn't realize they did other meals there - sounds great!

You are so cute in all your photos, but that's an absolutely beautiful picture of you!

While we were ordering, Michelle, matriarch of TheDISneyFamily, and her DH Steve arrived

I remeber flat Michelle from 2008, it is so good to see her in 3D

And if that wasn’t enough, Michelle and Steve graciously invited us all up to their villa!

Sadly, our time was up after a round or two and kids were waiting to be sprung from the Club. So, amongst many hugs and goodbyes, we headed back to the GF and grabbed the kids. Who were in no way ready to leave. They sure do like the kids’ clubs!

I had a really great time seeing everyone! Sorry we pooped out on you and missed the fun at the Tambu lounge. It was just a heck of a travel day after being delayed and then stuck on a plane for over an hour in the terminal while a monsoon raged outside. BUT, I had to at least share one drink with my favorite virtual friends. You guys are the best!

Looking forward to many more DISmeets in the future. (maybe sooner rather than later )

Hee hee, the kids were all headed to the Mousketeers Club for the night. Especially on these long trips, it’s just heaven for the kids to get away from us parents for a while and hang with their own crowd. They, of course, receive excellent supervision courtesy of the amazing WDW Recreation staff, but they seem to feel like they’re on their own for a while. This makes for some very happy campers.

We've still yet to try one of these out, but I'm tempted. Our girls are 6 & 9 now, I wonder if that's too old?

I've been peeking at TRs from years past lately and it IS neat to watch the kids grow!

Nope, that's the Garden View Lounge; they just do tea and I think drinks in the evening.
The GF Cafe is all the way back, and then left. It sort of shares an entrance with V&A.

It really was! I highly recommend the monorail loop for such occasions.

We've still yet to try one of these out, but I'm tempted. Our girls are 6 & 9 now, I wonder if that's too old?

6 definitely isn't. 9's probably fine, too - it's not all baby stuff, though the Mousketeers at the GF seems "younger" than the others. They all have movies and video games, art supplies, a comfy spot to read, etc.
