There's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow!~ a Magical May trip report! *Updated 7/11 X2 Pg 9*

Subbing!!! I love Disney trips in May! Aside from going in fall or winter, MAY is the best month!! That makes no sense lol but that's okay!!!

Hahahahaha it makes TOTAL sense!!! May is so beautiful but I'm excited to try Disney during the fall with all the autumn decorations!!

First off.. you took so many more pictures than I did! Hahaha. Makes for much more of an interesting trip report. To my defense, going there it was 4am. Coming back, I was sick. :rotfl:

OH!!! AND MY MERMAID GREEN NAILS! :thumbsup2
They're lovely!

I sometimes took a bite of my food before I realized I needed to snap a picture! But fear not fellow disers, I’m fairly certain I got a picture of almost EVERYTHING we consumed! Lucky you
This happens to us ALL THE TIME! Also, at buffets we kinda gave up...

My beautiful Mickey backpack James got me for my birthday back in October.
I LOVE THAT BACKPACK! Oh my goodness, it so cute and so BIG! I want one.

And after the LONGEST 2 and a half hours (yes we arrived about a half hour EARLY!) it was time to land!

party:

1/2 hour early is amazing! NICE JOB PILOT! :thumbsup2

Awesome travel day update! Isn't it nice to have a small airport where it's easy peasy to get everything done and be waiting at the gate! It's like that in Portland, Maine, too. Very easy! Ok, so continue.......

I love apple juice too so I totally understand James' choice of beverage. Actually every time I fly I always get the apple juice.
And I love that backpack of yours. So cute!

They're lovely!
Thank you!!! I just go them redone the other day and already miss the mermaid green.
This happens to us ALL THE TIME! Also, at buffets we kinda gave up...
hahahah I can only imagine how hard that would be!
I LOVE THAT BACKPACK! Oh my goodness, it so cute and so BIG! I want one.
Yessss I'm obsessed with it!!!!!! I use it ALL the time! Although it got heavier and heavier as the days progressed haha
1/2 hour early is amazing! NICE JOB PILOT! :thumbsup2

Day 01
Magical Express Adventures
Disney Day, Part II

We officially have touched down in Orlando!
I couldn’t wait to get off the plane and begin experiencing the magic of Disney.
I was also SUPER excited to show James what it’s all about.
Seeing the magic through a first-timer’s eyes...I just couldn’t wait anymore.

I pushed and shoved my way off the plane and through the airport!
No, wait. That’s wrong. I patiently waited my turn. Thus began our first wait there in Florida.
Not too bad though..and before I knew it we were inside the airport!

First stop, bathrooms.
“James meet me out here when you’re done,” and off I went into the lady’s room.
I turned the corner and bam! Hit a wall...of people that is.
This line was MASSIVE.
Alright so what? It’s good practice.

So I wait. And wait. Man, James probably thought I fell in or something.
I’d also like to note that other than the hotel room, I didn’t have to flush a toilet till I arrived back home at the end of the trip. Go Florida and their automatic toilet flushers!

Finally, I got to meet up with James. We followed the signs to the tram ride. I explained to James how the lovely people here on the DIS affectionately refer to it as the fake-o-rail.

Once there, we walked by a bathroom with no wait. Of course.

“James! Smile!”

We finally came across this beautiful site. In line we go...

We got to use our Magic Bands for the first time!

Quite a horrible picture of me but I told James to get a picture of me in front of our sign for Art of Animation and he snapped it I *think* as I was talking, but regardless I’m standing in front of the sign, thus blocking it from view. Ultimate fail.

Our line moved instantly, what luck!

But wait...nooo...so close...the family in front of us was told that they’d be split up so if they wanted to sit together they’d have to wait for the next bus.

Is it bad I hopped they would chose to wait so we could get on this bus?
:rotfl:

Well my selfish desire came true and before I knew it we were boarding the bus.
:jumping1:
But oh...it was full. Was it ever full. I lead the way to the back of the bus, there were two seats, score! But wait...someone’s stuff was on the seat. Of course someone was holding a seat for someone coming on the bus now. They must’ve been putting luggage underneath. Of course. We make our way back up front, defeated. Not a single seat.

I guess karma was getting me for hopping the family in front of us would take the next bus.

But wait, James and the bus driver exchange words I cannot hear and James sits in the VERY FRONT SEAT THAT SAYS RESERVED FOR THOSE IN NEED.

Apparently, we looked needy. ;)

MUAHAHAHAHAHA we scored prime front row seating diagonally behind the bus driver with an uninterrupted view of the entrance to Disney gate!!! In yo faces, seat-saving suckers!!!

:lmao:
Oops sorry gotta keep this Disney-approved.

I explained to James how this is ALL Disney World. You go under that arch and all the following highways/signs/trees are Disney World.

Before my first trip I had NO idea what to expect. I wasn’t aware that it was literally a plot of the Earth that made up Disney World. I always thought it was just the parks and Disney-owned hotels in the area. I had no idea the scale of the place!

In no time at all, we reached this:

And the rest is for the next update!! Thank you all for following along, I’ll be back later this week!

Good score on the MDE seats! Of all my trips I have never experienced the MDE so it is always interesting to hear about the process from others.

I explained to James how the lovely people here on the DIS affectionately refer to it as the fake-o-rail.
When I boarded it this year, I was NOT ready for it to start moving, and me and this other guy almost fell over! You would think all the standing on the DC metro prepared me for it, but it didn't.

But wait, James and the bus driver exchange words I cannot hear and James sits in the VERY FRONT SEAT THAT SAYS RESERVED FOR THOSE IN NEED.

Apparently, we looked needy. ;)
That's so cool!

You got great pictures of the WDW sign! I tried to get some on my ride, but I they didn't turn out great. Can't wait to hear more!

I LOVE your WDW sign pics!

Was James suitably impressed by the massiveness that is WDW?

Woot, woot! You made it! I love your pictures of the DME area! We have never used it before, but we will for our upcoming trip. I'm glad you were able to get on that first bus and not have to wait for the next one.

I pushed and shoved my way off the plane and through the airport!
Well, thank God someone know how to properly get off a plane. Those patient people drive me insane, huh??

So I wait. And wait. Man, James probably thought I fell in or something.

You didn't remember to take the floatation device which is locatated under your seat cushion in the event of an emergency? They make those announcements, you know, for situations such as falling in a toilet!

Apparently, we looked needy. ;)

MUAHAHAHAHAHA we scored prime front row seating diagonally behind the bus driver with an uninterrupted view of the entrance to Disney gate!!! In yo faces, seat-saving suckers!!!
Yeah, all you seat saving suckers!!!! :hippie:

:lmao:
Oops sorry gotta keep this Disney-approved.
Not for my benefit......

How perfect is that, huh?

Following along.
:welcome: So glad you're joining in!! Thank you!

Best seats on the bus!! If you ever fly into Orlando and don't need to rent a car I highly recommend it! It was so quick and stress-free!

Oh man!! That reminds me of one time I was on the subway and I completely fell into someone else when it started moving!!
Nice job politely getting to the resort quickly! Looking forward to more.
Why thank you! I brought extra politeness with me!
I LOVE your WDW sign pics!

Was James suitably impressed by the massiveness that is WDW?
Thanks!! I think he was! :D Not as impressed as I still am though! Granted the first time I went to Disney I cried on the Magical Express!
Woot, woot! You made it! I love your pictures of the DME area! We have never used it before, but we will for our upcoming trip. I'm glad you were able to get on that first bus and not have to wait for the next one.
Ahhh that's so exciting!! You'll love how carefree it is!!
Well, thank God someone know how to properly get off a plane. Those patient people drive me insane, huh??
For real sistaaa
You didn't remember to take the floatation device which is locatated under your seat cushion in the event of an emergency? They make those announcements, you know, for situations such as falling in a toilet!
Oh man I can be SO forgetful! :P
following along!
Yay! So glad you're joining me! :yay: Welcome along!

GUYS GUYS GUYS!
I have a mini real-life update.
It's not new news... haha "new news".. lemme reword that...new info.
But it IS new for you guys!

Obviously since before my last trip even ended, I was thinking up new ways to get back.
Isn't it funny how we always say our upcoming trip will be the last one for awhile?
Till that trip's wrapping up...and then it's like,
"How do I get back ASAP?"

Well immediately after our trip wrapped up, I began brainstorming new trips.
I was thinking of a September 2017 with James on free dinning.
But then I figured my tattoos will probably be off by then,
and I could be in the Air National Guard by then.
I want to get back to Disney with James ASAP, but first,
I gotta make my mom's dreams come true.

It's her turn.

My momma, who loves Disney like me, always talks about going back.
She's incredible and I want to spend quality time with her.
And what better way..?
She went once before she met my dad, then for their honeymoon over 25 years ago.
Then we all went as a family to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary.

She wants to go back, and I want to take her.
A couple weeks ago she asked when we can go.
Just me and her!

I asked if she wanted to plan something for THIS May, 2017!

She immediately jumped on board!
She said our excuse can be that in 2017 I'll probably be leaving for the Air National Guard.
My tattoos are taking forever to be removed so there's no doubt I'll still be here next year.
My guess is I'll be able to sign up around a year from now.

Any Once Upon A Time fans out there?
Henry names his different missions Operation Cobra and Operation Mongoose.
My mom asked to name our trip Operation Snow Goose.
She's adorable.
We speak about it in code.
It's awesome.

She wants to stay at a Little Mermaid room just like I did this trip.

It's still iffy, we may end up staying at a preferred room at Pop using a room discount.
Absolutely nothing is set in stone, not even the dates.
My sister will be graduating her nursing program in May
so we have to be sure our trip doesn't interfere with that.

She's most excited for Be Our Guest for dinner! She adores Beauty and the Beast.

So, the planning is ON!

No pre-trip report (at least yet).
I want to focus 100% on this here trip report.
But if we make any final plans I'll let you guys know!

YAY for Operation Snow Goose! I love everything about this post. You will be going back a little after we go on our trip. It will be crazy how things can be so different with such little time in between (Frozen rides, maybe ROL will finally make an appearance, etc.) So excited for you! :woohoo:
