At Disney, I get insomnia! I lay awake all night. And that is not an exageration! Last year I finally got the dr to give me some sleeping pills so I could sleep. So, I did sleep 4 out of 6 nights!

At some point I fell asleep. Not sure when, DH had the Golf Channel on and I kept watching Tiger Woods and all of his stuff from that day, then I started to worry for poor Tiger and his injury! Worry, worry, worry, I was starting to feel a little neurotic at this point!
I had a great game plan laid out for Sunday morning
Get up at 6:30 - shower
Have kids and DH dressed and out the door by 7:45 to check in at POP by 8:00.
At 8:00 Mickey was giving the kids an Enchanted Call so we could wait in the parking lot for that, then check in.
Be at MGM by 9:00.
I love plans they just never work out!
DH got up before me and jumped in the shower. We have been married long enough now that he KNOWS it takes me longer to get ready so I MUST get in the shower first. This was not a good start! He decides this is also a good time for a long shower!
So, I decided to start waking the kids. They were really not waking up that easy. This was already starting to be a rough week and we had not really started yet!
But once the kids woke up, they were excited. I got my shower and DH got them ready. Back on track! Yipee!
Loaded everybody up and we were off! I was more excited than anyone!
Heres where I almost burst into my first tears!
I had allotted way too much time to get to POP. We got there about 7:50. I did not want to be in the lobby trying to check in when Mickey called because I knew that the kids might not all be together and I wanted everyone to be able to hear. So, we killed time in the parking lot feeding birds and packing snacks in our bags for the day.

No dang call!!!! I gave up! I figured something went wrong, so we went to check in. I was a little disappointed.
We went inside and went straight to the check in. DH & Pepaw found a bench behind us with the kids.
(that's me from behind...not such a good view!)
There they were in my hands finally my very own keys to the world!!!! I was there .Disney was mine!
I stepped over to Memaw to make sure all was going okay with her. She was doing fine then I heard my cell phone ring that I had a voice mail I took it out of my pocket to see I had missed the CALL!! I was really bummed then because I knew that if you missed the call, you missed it! As I was clearing the call off the phone it started to ring again I knew who it was!!!!
I RAN through the lobby around all those ropes to the bench where the kids were and Mickey welcomed them on the trip! The kids just laughed and were excited that Mickey himself would call them.
Phew!
We knew we were in the 50s building, but our rooms were not ready. We moved our cars and headed back over to the buses. As soon as we lined up, a bus arrived. Me likey!
Here we are...so excited...Memaw on the left, me on the right grinning like a goof!
We arrived at MGM to be greeted by these guys. They were really funny noticing that the little ones seemed to be in charge and the big ones seemed to do what they were told.
Walked through the gates and you guessed it potty break! And the kids were already hot!
While everybody took care of things, I got the map and schedule out to map out the day. First, Little Einsteins!
We hightailed it over to the line up spot for LE. They would not be there for at least an hour, but Big Boy was not going to move. That was okay with us, because the kid would die if he did not get to meet Leo, and he has a thing for Annie!
So, as the family waited, I gathered up everyones keys and ran over to get FP for Toy story Mania. I have to admit, I was a little nervous getting my first FP. The time on the sign said 3:30 and we had reservations at H&V at 4:30...I just was not sure how fast FP was once you returned. But it was better than waiting in the line that was already 90mins!
I got back to the family and we waited some more. A few cast members came by and talked to the kids. NOBODY was in line, we would be first!
A few minutes before the time for LE to come out, a CM came out, I guess to clear a path? Then from out of nowhere, this grown man came up. He asked the CM where LE would be. DH overheard and told us to move over. The grown man jumped in front of my kids!!!! What the?!?!? Breath deep! I was not going to argue only one man but COME ON!!
I knew that they would at best bring only two LE out and Big Boy REALLY wanted to meet Leo. I was nervous until I saw Leo and Annie heading our way! I think Big Boy was about to faint!
It was really fun. Big Boy went first. He was nervous and excited all at once. I was a little misty at this point. Annie noticed his shorts and pointed it out to Leo.
Next was Moonk. Can I just say, I did not expect her to get so excited! But she watches LE with Big Boy and I think she got excited for him but somehow it spilled all over her! She gave them both a BIG hug.
Then Bits oh Bits where are you? He was not too sure of this whole deal. I mean those guys are BIG! Annie got down to his size and that was it! He ran over and just sat on her lap and kept kissing her. He was in love!
We came out and on the other side was Jojo and Goliath! I loved this show when Moonk was little! She watched that and Bear every morning! The kids had a blast meeting them. Bits was into it now!
We had just missed the next Playhouse show, so we decided to come back later. DH asked what the Little Mermaid thing was, I said a show, he asked if it had AC, I said yes, so we lined up. We got in quickly and ended up sitting on the second row. It was a little closer than I had wanted, but it worked out okay. It was just nice to cool off for a moment. Moonk was excited to see Ariel in her ballet shoes, just like hers.
DH came out and said Hey thanks for finally taking me to Hooters! I think he liked Little Mermaid now Sick old man!
When we came out it was perfect timing for Playhouse Disney. It was so much fun. The kids liked it but they were shy about getting up and dancing or really enjoying it. I wanted them to let go of normal reserved life sooo bad. Just enjoy this kids! Relax it is time to have fun!
When we came out...look who we got to meet! Big Boy was so happy, but somehow we missed his picture!
I think he ran over before anybody had time to get a camera out!

Sounds like a great start to your trip. The kids look so cute in their LE customs! =)
just found your tr and i am loving it, i wish i had that cleaning gene that would not let me leave my house without a mess but unfortunately i didnt get that one, its more the neurotic is everything unplugged and turned off gene. your customs are great. i just started sewing for our trip at the end of august and my mom laughs at me and says are they going to wear any of the clothes i bought them or only your homemade stuff. i just love making things for my two. cant wait for your next installment

Yes he went to see them all alone, hugged them and all...I thought at first maybe he was disabled and I really would not have had a problem, but nope...he just liked LE! But the fact he cut in front of my kids!

Oh I have not always had this cleaning problem...I grew up with not a very good house keeper. But when I got married, DH really kinda demanded it...that sounds bad I know, but a clean house really does make me happier and I am better for him really pushing me! So what used to annoy me about him getting angry about, I appreciate now! I really love sewing too! It was fun and is fun coming up with stuff!

You know...somehow we never even saw Jazmine the entire trip! Maybe that is a good thing...
We did not get to see Beauty and the Beast...we got tangled up in other stuff that everyone wanted to do...maybe next trip.

Lets see where were we last
.
Umm LE LM Hooters .Quincy okay back on track .
DH announced that the video camera started to rewind the tape at some point and was tapping over itself. Somebody, not me, did not pack the extra tape and bring it to the park! So, I thought maybe we could luck up and find a tape at the Kodak store near the front. We headed thru the middle of MGM and then everyone needed a potty break, again
these people have small bladders! So it all kinda worked out
the shop was near a facility for the family. Bad news
no tapes! Oh well, Memaw and Pepaw had their camera we had just given them for Christmas.
We decided that we would head out for Star Tours. This also gave me the opportunity to point out to the family that I DO know where tonights reservations were at. They had only asked me 17 million times!!! We headed towards the JedI training that was going to start in a few minutes. But we had to stop for these guys.
Notice how unexcited my poor kids are I wish they would just lighten up and enjoy you know act Goofy!
Then we went to Star Tours after passing by a few Star Wars characters and enjoying our wonderful popcorn and lemonade DH bought. We decided the lines to meet any of the Star Wars guys was just too long and it really was just HOT! The kids were cool with that and they even decided to not watch the JedI training. So we got in line for Star Tours. Not too bad the sign said 30 mins, but I think it was more like 10.
Big Boy is not fond of scary stuff or being caught off guard as I mentioned before. So as we waited in line he started to do a little panic dance and yes he started to cry. Now please dont think I am a bad parent, but we go with the theory that he really needs to challenge himself. If we dont give him a little push, he may spend the rest of his life being scared. It wasnt like he was kicking and screaming, he was just crying and clinging to his sister. But, can I just say, Moonk was great, she reminded him that we would NEVER do anything to hurt him. He got on, didnt move the entire ride, but he rode it. Bits sat next to me, so I really got to enjoy his reaction. As soon as the ride stopped, bits jumped out of his seat, ran out the door shouting That was AWESOME!!!! The kid was cracking people up! He begged to go again!
Big Boy, was still a little in shock. He was nervous, and tears were still trailing down his face.
But we had Pepaw! He KNOWS how to make a kid feel better
Buy them toys!
Big Boy found a set of the little robots he wanted. Bits found a small version of the space ship we took the tour in. Moonk decided to pick out a cool toy later maybe a doll.
So, the light sabers I SWORE we would not buy, because I could already hear the screams from the next room in my head
Memaw and Pepaw bought. I couldnt say no then
they wanted to buy them. The dump shop was PACKED being Star Wars weekend and all. So DH and Pepaw decided to take the kids outside, while me and Memaw stood in the LOOOOOOONG line. DH called and said they were heading over to the Muppet 3-D show (that I really wanted to see) and he would meet us outside afterwards! I was a little peeved, but I knew the kids were hot and driving them nuts.
We finally got to pay in the store and can I say now I LOVE staying on site and not having to carry my stuff around the rest of the day! Yipee!
I called DH to find out where they were. He said they were just going in the show. I grabbed my Mom and we hightailed it over to the show. We were running up to the gate as the girl was putting up the rope. I gave her a begging look and said my family just went in. She let us in! Loving that girl!
We actually sat in the same aisle as DH and crew so I could lean up and see the kids reactions. This was their very first 3-D show ever!
They were having a blast! I loved the Muppets growing up, so I loved it too!
We came out to a slight sprinkle so it was HUMID! But it stopped pretty quick. So, in order to cool off, it was ice cream time! We found a cart just across from Als Toy Barn where Woody and Buzz were. They had just finished up with the session, so no meeting them.
I guess we got a little distracted looking at the characters when oh no
Wheres Bits/Perry?
I try not to panic when he wanders off I new we could find him but then at the top her lungs Memaw screamed the most panic scream.
It scared me. I turned and yelled at her to calm down
dont panic!
DH had already spotted him and he was coming back. PHEW!
We ate our ice cream on a bench. It really was good just to cool off for a moment. We cleaned everyone off because the ice cream melts quicker than you can eat! Then we stood up to head out to backlot tour.

I try not to panic when he wanders off I new we could find him but then at the top her lungs Memaw screamed the most panic scream.
It scared me. I turned and yelled at her to calm down
dont panic!DH had already spotted him and he was coming back. PHEW!
We ate our ice cream on a bench. It really was good just to cool off for a moment. We cleaned everyone off because the ice cream melts quicker than you can eat! Then we stood up to head out to backlot tour.
