Maintenance Work to Support Wi-Fi Upgrades Begins Soon at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground​

Beginning April 11, maintenance work to support these Wi-Fi upgrades will begin at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. During this work, there will be signage designating alternate travel paths. At certain times of day, there may be some noise in the area. Construction-related noise is expected to take place between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to ensure minimal impact to Guests.

This maintenance work is expected to be complete in early May 2022.

We use our phone to unlock the gate. Select Unlock Door. It works every time!

When I am driving, and using the phones gps, its not exactly easy to stop, get the phone out, open the application, maybe sign in, find the page, then try to use the open door thing. If you have 2 adults this may work. But me and a just turned 10 yo, it was a mess.

We also tried the phone thing in February with about a 50% success rate, the kind of quality I expect from Walmart, not Disney

My band worked about 20% of the time in January. The phone about 80%. But having to pull my phone out of my pocket, put on my glasses, open the app, navigate to the right part and hold it out the window is a pain considering I should be able to just wave my wrist (with my magic band) at it.

The phone always works for us. Magic Band never works. We are a party of two.

My advice, take your time. So what if the person behind you has to wait an extra minute while you get your phone. The unlock door is usually on the home screen.

And I agree. It's not space age technology. There's no reason why the magic band doesn't work consistently. Card tap entry works every day at the work place.
