Tomorrow is my 60 day mark - so as loony as I am, I'll be up at midnight to book our FP+! A little bit nervous as I've never done this before. I can book for the whole trip - just like ADR's, right? Finished school Friday. Just have our school's golf outing today and then I'll be able to Dis to my heart's content!

Hey Robyn- I'll be up with you at midnight! And I start a new job tomorrow, but Disney is important too!

Rebecca

I'm just quoting this group because it is so exciting to know that we are all obsessing this week about how to book FastPasses. Can't wait for the next 9 weeks to pass by!

Janet- it is exciting. My mom and I talked final FP* plans today. Only have two days to schedule, but I am ready. Really looking forward to the meet!

Rebecca

Hope this isn't a silly question but when we stayed a BC ground floor a several years ago we couldn't leave via the patio doors as you could only lock them from the inside! So how do you secure your room as we would love to request a patio room to save on the walking?

Not silly and your correct, but there are 2 (i believe) exit doors only a few feet away, that's how we go to the buses. Otherwise we do leave the sliding door unlocked, but closed if we're by the quite pool or by the DSA.

Yes Robyn you can book the whole trip! Guess I'm lucky cause midnight on the east coast is 9:00pm for me :goodvibes on west coast. :cheer2:

We are coming in either late January or mid-February for a sports event that my daughter is competing in. We always spend time at the pool, so the pool is very important to us. (Hoping that it will be warm enough)
It is likely our group (team families) will be spread out across the properties. We would like to stay at the BC or YC because of the pool. Here is my question. It is likely that the my daughter will have one of her friends spend the night in our room several nights and hang out with us a lot on the trip (they are the very best of friends).
Would she be able to join us in the pool when she is staying in our room with us (FYI: we would not be exceeding allowable persons in the room)?

Oh, also is the pool heated in the winter?

:welcome:

Let us know when your plans solidify and I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list.

You have received some good answers to your questions.

Yes, the pool is heated. Often it is not the temperature of the pool, but the cool air when you get out that is the problem.

:woohoo:

I have my 3 nights booked at bcv and have been planning for a split stay, however, that Epcot is one of my favorite of the parks I may just add a few days to my stay and stay at BC or YC. I have never stayed at club level at any Disney resort. Seeing that I will be on the deluxe dining plan, do you think it would be worth my while to try club level? Just can't seem to make up my mind.
And if I did try for club level, does one lounge have a better view or is one lounge bigger than the other?

How will you be using the dining plan? 3 sitdown meals a day? Mix of CS/TS meals? Signature restaurants?

The DxDP is a LOT of food. The convenient breakfast at club level is the biggest plus for my family. There are snacks and drinks throughout the day, so if you think you would enjoy having a beer, glass of wine or cordial in the evening, along with some nibbles, it might be worth it .

The lounge at YC is currently bigger. Not sure what the size comparison will be once the renovation on the BC lounge is complete (whenever THAT will be). The view from the BC lounge is nothing to write home about:

Does anyone have a picture of the view from the YC lounge?

I believe I have updated the Be Our Guest list with all of the current information. Please note that if I don't have someone's exact dates, their name will appear at the top of the listing for that month.

Post 15: Be Our Guest list

Please let me know if you need to be added or if your info needs to be changed.

Thanks!

Well you are in LUCK! because Ninja Mom has the solution to all of your problems!

What you need is a "Try outs ROAD TRIP" to the Beach Club! They can play soccer by the lake and who ever kicks the ball into the lake gets cut from the team since no one can go in to get it. I'd say they'll last about 15 minutes before the ball is in the lake and when it goes for a swim that means that try outs are OVER!!!

Think of how relaxing and enjoyable herding 15 kids for soccer try outs around WDW will be . If NM were running the show she'd just go to the pool bar and let the 15 of them figure it out for themselves.

Of course your biggest challenge would be keeping the girls from sneaking off to the laundry room to meet our fantasy bartender Tom Collins.... HOWEVER, I have it on good authority that he is still having a hot fling with Margarita and he hasn't been showing up to work on time.

So what are you waiting for? PROBLEM SOLVED!

~NM

I'll run the plan by my Athletic Director and see what he says :rotfl2:

I'll be doing the deluxe dining plan so will be 3 sit down meals a day, but I will probably do a few signature restaurants as it is definitely a lot of food. I do however enjoy having a quiet after dinner drink, especially after a long day of walking around the parks so it might be fun. I do have an annual pass, so I am hoping to be able to get a discount for when I'm planning on being there (April 2015) but we'll see, I'm thinking it might be nice to splurge.

Rebecca

Up at midnight and glitches to the website so couldn't do FP+!

Luckily when I tried again at 5 am got everything we wanted. It was easier than I expected.

How did you do - did you get everything you wanted?

Hope so!

We are coming September 2015. We are staying club level also. I am really thinking of adding the deluxe dining too. My family will not be happy with the club level breakfast everyday. I would be fine and happy with it, but not my husband or kids. I would rather pay for the dining and not have to worry about not having enough credits when we are there. That is how I think as of now anyway. Plus I will do a lot of 2 credit meals

Does anyone stay club level just for the service vs the club level food?

The option of having the food in the lounge is awesome but that is not the main reason I want to stay club level. I love the idea of the planning help and the service.

Am I looking at club level the wrong way? If we don't care about the snacks, is it still worth it to stay club level?

The department of Youth and Family Services is pleased to announce that there will be NO arrests in Ninja Mom's house as her boys did tell her what rides they wanted to go on so she could schedule their FP+. In other news Anna and Elsa are CRUSHED that they were NOT CHOSEN for the use of any of these fast passes by said boys. I may try to sneak a princess meet and greet fast pass in there to see if they are paying attention.

That sounds like fun! One day in the future, without the kids along, I'd like to do a deluxe dining trip with the husband and schedule all the fancy places to eat.

Tom Bricker has a great site where he talks about the restaurants and what he liked and didn't like about them. It's indexed by restaurant so it's easy to navigate. You can read reviews if you are trying to decide between restaurants or you just want more information about the one you decided on.

This is a great resource for all things Disney travel!
Just google Disney Tourist Blog and it will pop right up.

We stay for the convenience of the snacks and drinks and especially the breakfast. It's wonderful to not have to stand in line every time you want a drink or a snack. But, to me the other amenities are not really worth it. Making dining reservations is so quick and simple now. It's just a few clicks and you're done. Others may disagree but we didn't really see any true benefits other than the breakfast and convenience of the lounge. If you have a lot of planning that you need help with I'm sure it would be different.

Same here. Had the midnight glitch. Only had time to book one day this morning before work but got 7DMT scheduled so I am happy.

Glad you got yours scheduled :)

How busy is SAB on holiday weekends?

We check in the Saturday before Veteran's Day and that is a planned resort day for us. We're coming from CSR and plan to arrive early (around 9a).

I'm hoping most families will head to the parks, but is that realistic?

I'm mostly worried about getting chairs.

Thanks!:goodvibes
