Got a studio at Beach Club Villas for a few days. Is my first time staying there, what can I expect for a balcony? Is it one that I can sit on with my coffee, or is it one of the tiny little ones I've seen in pictures? Ultimately it doesn't matter (I'll just take my coffee and go sit outside by the lake somewhere) But a balcony is always nice.

Are the studios on all levels? Or particular floors with particular views?

Thanks.

Ahem.... did you KISS the frog?? I mean after all you are IN Disney World... and we all know what you need to do when a frog gets close enough... I think you missed your chance at a possible upgrade... ~NM

I somehow see me looking around for a frog once we get there!!!!

Out here sweating my rear off watching soccer!!! Of course if I were at SAB, i wouldn't care how hot it was!!!!!

Oh, one last thing.....we really like SDMT. Just don't wear anything on your head. I lost my Minnie ears on the first incline.

Did you report your Minnie Ears to Lost & Found?

One year I bought a hat in one of the gift shops, then went on my first ride for the day - Splash Mountain. The hat flew off my head. I reported it. They took my contact information in case they found it.

Months later, I got a package at work -- it was my hat!

Catho looks like you are having a wonderful trip. Enjoy.

Teena glad you are feeling well enough to go back to work.

You will get a balcony that will fit a couple of chairs on it. Those small standing balconies are only at the Beach Club, not at the villas.

In general, almost all of the studios are attached to a villa, either as part of a dedicated studio or a lock off. So they have all views and all floors.

This completely bums me out...a missed opportunity indeed...:sad2:

Catho - LOVE your pictures!!! I will be checking in with my Mom for her birthday trip in just 10 days!!!:banana::banana::banana:
Please keep the trip reports coming!!

On an off topic note - has anyone done a room discount/package that included the free Memory Maker?? I booked our room next week with the AP discount that came with the free MM. I was told I would get the MM at checkin, and it couldn't be linked before, which is fine. However, do they just give you the card thing and have you link it yourself or is it already attached to my reservation?? The reason I'm asking is because I would love to use the MM on our trip in August with my kids when we are there longer, as opposed to using it with my Mom. No offense, Mom, but we certainly won't be taking as many pictures on rides and character meals :) Does anyone know the answer to this??

Thanks. Am looking forward to it. Stayed at several different hotels at Disney, but not really on the Boardwalk and not that close to Epcot. Very excited.

Live update:

After spending the entire day at MK yesterday (left BC at Noon, returned at Midnight), we are spending the early part of the day at SAB. I saw Teena back at work but didn't get a chance to stop....she was talking with other guests.

We nabbed a table at 10:30am at SAB and now that it's almost Noon, there are still tons of unoccupied and un-saved chairs! Where are all the people? I am definitely not complaining!
Probably in line for the Mine Train or Anna and Elsa.:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

We are staying 4 nights GF, then 4 nights YC too! How are you planning your trip? MK/AK while at GF then Epcot/DHS while at YC? I'd like to exchange ideas about how you will plan your trip. We hope to also do one of the water parks (weather allowing hopefully). ]

We start at YC, but our first day we always go to MK, so that won't change. :) The second day the kids have surfing lessons at Typhoon Lagoon, then we booked breakfast at Cape May. For the rest of the day we don't have any plans so we might pop into Epcot when the mood strikes. For our last 4 days at YC we plan to hit HS, Epcot, and AK, with going to dinner at Epcot a couple of those nights. We also plan to go to either Il Miluno or Shula's for dinner one night.

Once we get to GF we have no plans, so far! We hope to watch wishes from there, and on our last day go to MK as per our tradition. This will be the first time we just wing it so hopefully it will work out for us. We don't have the dining plan, but when I check periodically on line for reservations on any given day, there are enough places available that I would be happy with. Plus we always say we need to eat more counter service in Epcot, we always want to but never do since we only go there once or twice. So we will have the opportunity this time! :)

That's all we have plans for so far. Once I have to book our fast passes where we will be on any given day will be more defined, but subject to change!:rotfl:

We are a party of 5, do I have to request a daybed for BC?

Families of five will get priority for a room with a daybed. In the rare instance where your room doesn't have one, you'll get a roll-away bed. But most likely it will be the daybed. You can add it to your request just to be sure, if you would like. :)

That info is correct, as long as everyone in your party is over the age of 3. If someone is younger than that, then you are considered to be a party of 4 in Disney's eyes.

:)

Oh my, I would of screamed bloody murder too :rotfl:. Thankfully we didn't have any frogs to deal with while we were there. One of my favorite things to do is to people watch on our balcony, and I loved how close our balcony was to the main walkway leading up to the resort. I definitely could relate as to how people would of reacted to when you screamed.....poor you :goodvibes.

DH also had a fun time watching police escorting a family off the beach because they refused to get out of the lake (there was a mom, dad, and 2 young kids splashing around in the lake). From what DH said, Disney security and a couple CMs kept telling the family to leave, but they refused to listen, he said there was one time where the family left for about 5 minutes and then came back when security left. He said that finally some managers and police came up to them and escorted them away (after the 5th time). Don't know if they escorted them off the property completely or just out of the area. How sad, they had 2 young kids with them...what great role models these parents are to their children :(.

Absolutely, I will go through all of my photos and then post them there :goodvibes.

WOW .... some people just dont get it

I apologize if this doesn't work....haven't used the photobucket app since last year.

Oh....super cool new magic band info: we wanted to link our Buzz ride pictures to our Magic Bands since we bought Memory Maker. Since we linked MM to our MDE app, our ride photos will automatically appear in our account due to the RFID upgrade! Pretty cool, huh? Kind of Big Brother-ish too.....

Oh, one last thing.....we really like SDMT. Just don't wear anything on your head. I lost my Minnie ears on the first incline.

Wish I was there to meet up with you... have funpirate::cheer2:

That is exactly what I was thinking:rotfl2:

I was told by IT that it would automatically appear on MDE after I checked in. He said that technically it is a package (even though room only) with MM and it would not be available until check in. I asked if it was not there at check in should I call back and he indicated that the resort should be able to solve the problem if that occured:rotfl:

When is your trip? May I add you to the Be Our Guest list on page 1?

:cool1:

Not sure if you have posted here before, so if not,

:welcome: to the thread!

Hello all,

We are very excited to be heading to the YC on 6/22. We get there late afternoon and were thinking that a light supper at the Crew's Cup might be nice. Does anyone know their hours and when they begin serving food?

Thanks,

Toni

We love eating at the Crew's Cup! It was an unexpected treat when we stopped in there one night on our last trip. We especially love the truffle fries. I think we went through about 6 orders of them in the 2 nights we ate there (4 adults).

Here are some pictures:

Great view for standard! :thumbsup2

Can you imagine all these DISers running around the YC/BC trying to kiss a frog prior to check-in?

It is indeed part of the promotion you purchased, so it has to be used during that time. I found that the free dining or room discount was a much better promotion for guests. Have you tried applying a newer promotion?
