Ditto Rebecca. Love 'seeing' everyone.
Thank you to Dee and our pro photographer. Nice to have such a great photo of the fun meet!
Well kids, we'll be at Yacht Club on 10/9-13... and I broke my stupid foot.
I did some basic research on using a wheelchair around the parks/resort, but on a scale of 1 to Jack Jack Incredible's temper tantrum, how is this going to play out?
Any suggestions?
Ditto these 3! Nice to put a face to the names! Glad you all had such a great time! ~N
Oohhh... You'll maybe you'll get to rent a scooter! Don't think of this as a catastrophe... In reality you are going to be just fine. The scooters are actually pretty easy to master and the bus drivers will help you load and unload from the buses. As far as all the whining about people driving scooters... as long as you are careful and not tooling around the parks at top speed you are going to do just fine. Don't let all those stories about scooter idiots make you worry.... those stories are about idiotic, inconsiderate people. Most people can handle the scooter safely and comfortably so don't worry... you are going to be just fine.
Think of all the fun you are going to have! First of all you are going to have to plan your "Scooter Outfits". You want the sort of outfit that screams "Don't mess with me, I'm a Scooter rider!". Think loud colors and lots of leather. If you can punk out your hairdoo that will really help to give the right kind of bad *** scooter person impression.
Next you are going to have to trick out your rental scooter. Cup holders and holiday decorations are mandatory. Plan on using battery operated lighting unless you have a really long extension cord (Reallly Looong!) Those pin wheels or wind socks make great scooter decorations, especially when you are moving so think about incorporating some of them in your scooter decorations.
Next you want to consider your scooter sound system. If you plan on playing hits from the 80's consider bungee cording a boom box on your scooter for that throwback look. Keep in mind that a good deterrent to people cutting you off is to play your tunes loudly and proudly. There is nothing like a good Rick Astley tune to keep people far away from you.
If you are going to EPCOT for food and wine you might want to "borrow" a tray from a quick service and bolt it on your rental scooter so that you can have a place to put all the goodies you will be trying. There never seems to be enough tables at Food and Wine so consider renting out your tray to other guests when you are taking a break from snacking.
Another useful idea and one that may help you recoup the cost of your scooter rental is to start up an Epcot Food and Wine delivery service. Some scooters may come with a basket on the front so take full advantage of that and start taking orders from other guests. You can expect tips in the neighborhood of 15-20 percent except if someone tries to use their "Scooter Tables in Wonderland" card and then it's an 18% tip.
So you see, having that bum foot and having to depend on a scooter isn't so bad. It's all in how you think about it! If you decide to make the best of it you are going to have a great visit. Remember that no matter what, you are going to be at WDW. Remember to be patient and don't stress and you will find that you are swept up in the magic of Disney.

Generally speaking, how long before the movie on the beach is the bonfire, marshmallow roasting held?
Thought it might be fun for the little one in our party, but not so sure the timing will necessarily work out.
We have early dinner reservations for that night at Trail's End, and while I'm pretty sure we'll make it back in time to catch at least most of Frozen (yay!), I don't know about the bonfire.
Course, it could all be a moot point, if Trail's End is as good as all the reviews/pics make it seem like it is. Our tummies might be uncomfortably full.
The boat ride from Fort Wilderness back to Magic Kingdom then bus back to the BC might give us some time to recuperate though, lol. Unless, we find a faster mode of returning 'home.'
Hmm. Guess I really had two questions.
Thoughts?
The excitement is a little more real now that we're only 22 days out.

P.S. A third question for you guys. What are your thoughts on Memory Maker? Better deal than regular Photopass? We had PP+ last year, but it didn't seem like such a good deal with 2 adults looking to get as much done as possible. I'm more inclined to consider it since we're traveling with a child and trying to force ourselves to slow down by taking PH's out of the equation.
Wow, Ninja Mom looks exaxctly like Marlton Mom. Or is this just a one in a million coincidence?Front Row: Mommyrosa2, Natebenma, Disneymomx7, YCFan, JanetMom holding Buzzy, ScottMC, TeenaS (with Presidential Award), ~NM

Dee, as others have said, thanks for the picture. Glad to see you and photobucket are back on good terms.

We were at BC last week and had a great stay! We checked in around 10:00 am and while we were pulling up to the hotel, I got a text saying our room was ready. We had a standard view room and were in 4692. I had requested a balcony, but when we checked in, none were available. They did say that one would be available the next day if we were willing to move, so if you don't get a balcony at check-in, definitely say you are be willing to move later if it's important to you. We decided not to move because our stay wasn't that long and we had already moved several times before over the course of our trip. I ended up really liking the room, even without the balcony. It was a large corner room over the lobby with three big windows and was a short walk to the lobby elevators. Our room was always clean and while the furniture had a few dings, I did not notice any major issues with the condition of the room. SAB was great as always and it was nice being able to see the Frozen fireworks every night. We focused on Epcot and HS while we were there, so I can't speak about the buses. All in all, we had a fantastic time!
