There’s No Turning Back Now! 7/23 - Link to my new PTR!

I completely agree about the depth of the characters! It's one of the things that makes Disney so great. :goodvibes

30 Day Disney Photography Challenge - Day 24

A picture of your favorite Disney souvenir:

Our Mickey Ears! These were the first souvenirs we brought on our first day of our first trip as a family to Disney World. We left them in the room the next day and when we returned from the parks, mousekeeping arranged them on one of our beds along with our first visit pins!

30 Day Disney Photography Challenge - Day 25

A picture of your favorite childhood Disney memory:

Riding Space Mountain with my brother! I took this picture on our last trip in 2009. It's not great because I took it as the kids and I were on the People Mover or whatever the heck they call it these days. It'll always be the People Mover to me. My brother, David, and I used to love riding this too because there was never a line and because we could see inside Space Mountain. Our hands down favorite was Space Mountain, though. We'd wait in line for an hour or more, Walkmans in tow. Walkmen? That sounds weird, but Walkmans can't be right either... Anywho, we'd eventually make it through the line, get into the vehicle and blast off! The best part was that our family usually stayed until closing, so David and I would get in line over and over again at night when other people were making their way out of the park. One night, we rode it at least five times in a row and I remember that he and I were running up the moving sidewalk at the end of the ride and making a sharp turn to run right back in line for another ride! We never wanted the park to close! David and I definitely got our fill of Space Mountain that night! :goodvibes

30 Day Disney Photography Challenge - Day 26

A picture of the way you keep Disney alive when you're not in the parks:

Pictures! This is my desk at work. My computer background is a picture I took of the kids in front of the Polynesian. One of the framed pictures is of the kids before having breakfast at 'Ohana and the other picture is of me and the kids before breakfast at Tusker House. Even just a glance at one of these pictures makes me think of the happy times we've had in Disney World!

I love that you have a picture of pictures in the photo challenge!

Pictures ARE the best way to keep the memories alive. :goodvibes

30 Day Disney Photography Challenge - Days 27 and 28

Yet again, I am a slacker! I didn't post yesterday because this weekend was my birthday weekend with my kids. Yesterday we saw the Phineas and Ferb show. It was really cute. I'll have to post about that as well as Disney on Ice, which we saw about two weeks ago. So, let me try to finish up this challenge on time! I only have two days of the challenge left after this!

Day 27 -

A picture of the person/people that you most love to share Disney with:

My kids, of course! In that picture, they are pretending to be scared outside of Tower of Terror :rotfl:

Day 28 -

A picture of your favorite place to hide from the crowds:

I've always enjoyed Carousel of Progress, even as kid. I've never seen a line for this attraction and it's never crowded inside. This picture clearly isn't inside CoP but it's a picture of the kids after going on CoP. We saw Buzz standing outside and they hightailed it over there to him! They also saw Stitch at that time. So not only is CoP a great way to hide from the crowds and beat the heat, but it's also a nice out-of-the-way place to interact with characters!

Pictures of pictures!!!

I finally went on Space Mountain and loved it! I still didn't get to CoP on this trip, but I had heard so many stories about it breaking down lately that I was afraid we would get stuck on it and miss out on other stuff!

I don't blame you for not wanting to risk going on CoP. I can't imagine being stuck on there hearing "It's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" over and over again. I love the song, but I think it would get creepy after a while!

30 Day Disney Photography Challenge - Day 29

A picture of something you dream about happening to you in a Disney park:

I would love to get Dream Fast Passes again! In this picture, Coy is wearing a Dream Fast Pass that our family got in Hollywood Studios during the Year of Million Dreams (True couldn't be trusted to keep hers on :lmao: ) We were surprised with the Fast Passes when we were about to ride Tower of Terror and it was so exciting! I'd love for something like that to happen again because I'm dreading the lines when we go in June! :rotfl:

I am half asleep and posted my photo on your thread Erin! I am going to bed!

Love your pic and love that you guys got those FPes! Very, cool! :goodvibes

30 Day Disney Photography Challenge - Day 30

A picture that always reminds you of Disney:

I really like this picture. It reminds me of how we met Push, the trash can, and he called us the Same Shirt Family! :lmao: It was so funny and silly and unexpected! Little moments like that are just as important as the so-called big moments and all of those memories put together make me long for Disney!

You met the 30 day challenge with wonderful pictures. I have enjoyed watching your children change and grow over the Disney Trip. I believe I also noticed several different hair styles also.:goodvibes

:lovestruc That's such a great pic of you guys!

You did great with the challenge- thanks for sharing all of your wonderful memories. :goodvibes

Thanks you guys! I'm so happy that I completed this challenge! It's been a week, though and I feel like I need another 30 day challenge to keep me going! :lmao: I've had an insane week, but I always found time to post the last 30 days. We'll, I almost always found the time   So, I'm not making any promises, but I'm going to try my best to post every day for the next week until 3/15. Why 3/15? Because that is our 100 day mark! :yay: Well, I probably won't post this weekend because the kids and I will be out of town, but we'll see! Hopefully, I'll be able to make a Mini-TR out of it.

Oooh, almost 100 days! :woohoo:

I can't wait to read your posts. :)

:cheer2:
WE'RE BOOKED!!!
:cheer2:

I called WDW Reservations today and spoke with a wonderful Cast Member named Brooklyn. She told me I had a PIN code I could use for our dates! I was shocked because I really thought a PIN for the summer months was unheard of in Disney! So it made it really affordable for me and my sisters! We're getting two rooms at...

Pop! Century Resort!

Our dates are Saturday, June 23rd through Sunday, July 1st!!!

I requested rooms in the 50's section. That's the right one, right guys? I had to wing it because I wasn't in front of a computer and I didn't have the Unofficial Guide in front of me! :scared: Bad DISer! Brooklyn also put in a request for adjoining rooms for us. I know I might not get these requests but it's worth a shot! :goodvibes She said the adjoining rooms are usually honored but if not, we'll probably at least have connecting rooms. I'm so excited! :yay:

Something funny happened because I didn't realize that the second room would be in my sisters' names. Duh! Well, you can probably guess that I wasn't prepared for that either because I'm such a bad DISer! Brooklyn asked me for their zip code and I had no idea! I don't write my sisters letters! :lmao: Then she asked for a phone number and I at least had that :rolleyes1 Then she asked for an address and I was like such-and-such street in such-and-such city... Um... I didn't know the house number... I was feeling like a real moron at this point. Well, with the minimal info I was able to give her, Brooklyn was able to find Ashley's information! Luckily, Ashley had priced a vacation about a year ago! It was cool, but it also made me feel like Mickey was a creeper! :rotfl: Stalk much? :rotfl2: Kidding, kidding!

So, in honor of booking, I'm going to post our touring plans for each day. As I mentioned before, I use the Unofficial Guide and I use touringplans.com. So I'm going to make honest to goodness touring plans so that we can hopefully see a lot of attractions despite the crowds. The first real day of touring plans will start on Sunday the 24th but I'm going to give you guys an idea of what we have planned for our arrival day:

Saturday, June 23rd:

We'll leave from my house some time between 12am and 2am and make the drive down to Orlando! I'm thinking we'll take 3 hour shifts, depending on how often we need to take potty breaks. Oh, I just realized I didn't tell you guys that Kyle isn't going to make it on this trip :( He opted to go on a Spring Break vacation with some friends next week. Oh well. I know he'll have fun, though. Plus, this just means that I'll have an excuse to plan another vacation one year with my sisters and my brothers.

Get back on track, Erin. Back on track :) So after about a 14 hour road trip (including pit stops) we'll check into Pop! We'll get settled into our rooms and relax a little.

That night, we'll have dinner at 1900 Park Fare! Then I'm thinking that we'll hop the monorail over to The Polynesian. Hopefully, we won't be too tired because I think it would be nice to watch Wishes from the beach. We might be exhausted though, so we might just have to go back to our rooms. Either way, we'll finally be in Disney World and that is what matters!

Oh man, Big Brother's got nothing on Mickey, eh? That is pretty cool that they found your sister's address but I agree a little stalkerish.

Your first evening sounds great! :thumbsup2 We love 1900 PF, the food is okay but the character interaction is the BEST. pixiedust:

My little brother is always opting to go to spring break with his friends instead of going places with us too.

Can't wait to see the rest of your plans! :goodvibes
