"There’s NO Sleeping in Disney!” SURPRISE - The Frumps Are Back Again! UPDATE 1/13

As I've been over on your DR commenting away, I realized that I haven't reviewed over here for a while. :) ANd...I would just like to say that I have placed EVERY one of those crew necks on my christmas wish list (hint, hint, wink, wink Dad. I know that you're reading this)! Adorable. That's all I'm going to say. :)

That's totally fine! :) Hahaha I hope you get all of them! They are SO adorable... I can't even get over it!

Yayyy! And oh my gosh hahaha isn't it so true?! I say that CONSTANTLY when I'm in Disney. I'm so glad you appreciate it.
That's totally fine! I'm glad you're here and enjoying! Hahaha the TR's make me want to go to Disney with my friends too... Again! :rotfl: They just have that affect on people.
Thanks for reading! :)

Haha yes! After a while I thought I was even getting annoying, but whatever.
I promise to comment after every update from now on! :flower3: I have one question, how did you ask your friends to come with you on your trip with Vickie and Kristen? I really want to ask my friends to come next July but I'm not sure how to ask and make it sound like a good plan haha. I know one has been to Disney twice before and loves it but the other hasn't been.

Haha nahh it never gets old ;)
Hmm... well Vickie and Kristen and I had always talked about wanting to go to Disney together just hypothetically. Then we talked about if it would be possible financially, then I said I would look into it. Then I told them the info, they asked their parents, and then once we got the official okay we booked it! :goodvibes

Ohh I see! I've been looking into the costs and many different options. I've been thinking that I can't just take two of my friends because the others would feel left out. Instead there would be 4 kids (15,15,15,16) and we'd have to have another adult. That might be better financially because then you could split the room cost with the other adult. That would take a lot of planning, though! :scared1:

I couldn't resist and went to the local Forever 21 store to check out their Disney shirts. Bought the Cinderella and Lion King crew necks. :lovestruc

I need to see it!!
Am I allowed to use GIFs on Disboards, Jess? haha

Oh my gosh, those Thomas Kinkade paintings are amazing! I used to be like obsessed with his paintings. I love him SO much more now that I know he did Disney paintings :)

Chapter 13: Toy Story Maniacs
August 20th, 2011

After getting off of the Great Movie Ride, we decided that it was necessary to meet Buzz and Woody. The line is always SO long, but we needed to make sure saw them on this trip!

We got in the 45 minute line and waited. I usually never get in lines this long, but this was a special occasion.

The line started outside and then snaked around the inside of the building.

Buzz saw us looking in through the window while we were outside and he waved to us. He blew Nat kisses and she was jumping around like an overly enthusiastic four year old child.

Only in disney is it completely appropriate and normal to act like this. (:

dsc00155on.jpg

45 minutes may seem like a long time to wait for some characters, but honestly, this wait was not bad at ALL! The queue has so many cute interactive displays to take pictures with!

dsc0316gi.jpg

OoooOOoooOOoo.

dsc0317g.jpg

We had a blast taking a picture with EVERY photo op! They really designed this queue to keep guests entertained the whole entire time.

BAHAHAHAHAHA I just find this picture hilarious:

THE LEGS!

Strapped to the rocket:

Am I the only one who's upset about this?!?!

This next picture is brilliant:

dsc0335t.jpg

As you may have noticed, Kristen's family was not with us this whole time we were at Hollywood Studios. They actually went to Pepper Market for dinner and came to the park after. After we waited about 25 minutes for Woody and Buzz, they arrived at Hollywood. They brought Sarah over so she could jump in line with us.

dsc0338db.jpg

Kristen sniped a picture of her Mom talking to us through the window hahaha. I love her. ♥

dsc0318vs.jpg

Such cute decorations!

dsc0337hr.jpg

dsc0339pb.jpg

We FINALLY got to the front of the line and Nat was FREAKING out. She was jumping up and down. She couldn't contain herself! I'm tellin' ya - total child. It was great!

dsc00157ti.jpg

Right before we were allowed in the greeting area, Nat was going so crazy that the Cast Member told her to "hold her horses!" (in a joking way of course hahaha.) It was just so funny! We told the cast member that Woody and Buzz were Nat's favorites - as if he couldn't tell.

I asked that Cast Member to video tape us, and I'm SO glad I did!

Finally he let us through and Nat ran right to Woody. She gave him a huge hug and he sure did love the attention!

dsc00159or.jpg

Buzz got all sad because she didn't hug him first. He felt neglected and walked over to the window with his head down.

Kristen told him that he was her favorite space ranger! I think that made him feel a little bit better better.

dsc00160ky.jpg

Nat gave Buzz some attention too, and he gave her two kisses.

dsc00162pz.jpg

Both Woody and Buzz told Nat they loved her by drawing "air hearts" with their fingers. They told the rest of us they loved us too! How sweet. (:

dsc00164ng.jpg

Woody gave Nat six hugs and it basically made her life.

dsc0344mc.jpg

I think Woody thought Nat was hilarious.

dsc0343tn.jpg

We took our first group picture:

dsc0340ap.jpg

We were in there for SUCH a long time. It was absolutely great. They loved us!

dsc0341w.jpg

Buzz stole a bunch of our belongings (like autograph books, pens, and Nat's purse) and put it in his space gear. It was so funny! What a joker he is.

dsc00168bn.jpg

We took one more picture all together:

dsc0345vx.jpg

Then we had to say goodbye. We were SO happy coming out of that building. It was TOTALLY worth the 45 minute wait. Nat's reaction was just priceless. Moments like that are truly magical and don't happen every day.

We left the building and Nat just cried.

Tears of joy, of course!

They were real tears! She was just so incredibly happy to meet her favorite characters and be in Disney. It's a very emotional experience! I loved seeing her appreciate it so much. I think it was one of her top highlights of the trip!

I said it once and I'll say it again - It was SO WORTH the wait. I'm so happy we went when we did. That was, by far, the best character interaction of the trip. Actually, it was probably one of the best ones of all time! No lie.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To give you all a visual on how great this moment was... I have the next few parts of the video up! The second one is my favorite clip of this entire movie.. so I hope you enjoy it as well!

Part 8 starts at the beginning of this day, and Part 9 continues through until a little tiny bit past where we are currently in the Trip Report. I would wait, but I need to show you the Buzz and Woody part now - it's priceless!

Honestly, it's a good idea to ask all of them. Because a lot of times, for one reason or another, people can't end up going. So hopefully at least two of them will be able to go :) I always have a list of people to ask because someone always has complications.
But if it does work out where all of you can go, splitting the room cost would be FANTASTIC. It really isn't bad when you divide it up.
And don't worry... the planning is a lot but it is fun! Just stay organized and you'll be fine! :thumbsup2 You can do it!

YAY! :yay: I'm glad you got one. They're so worth it! :)

I need to see it!!
Am I allowed to use GIFs on Disboards, Jess? haha

Hahaha I'm not aware of a rule against it... so sure go ahead.

Oh my gosh, those Thomas Kinkade paintings are amazing! I used to be like obsessed with his paintings. I love him SO much more now that I know he did Disney paintings :)

How did you know about him!? I only saw his paintings in the gift shops.. I didn't even know his name until like a few weeks ago. I feel like I've been missing out on brilliance.

I can't remember which update I last commented on (it's been so long) so I'm just going to start from Surprise the Frump. It sounds like a good place to start. :thumbsup2

Kristen, I don't blame you for not wanting to meet Mickey in a poncho. In July, I was dragged in there to meet him while soaking wet. My mom insisted. It was not fun.

I'm glad your surprise was such a success. How nice of that CM to film it for you. Disney CMs are wonderful people.

I miss Spectromagic too. MSEP depresses me because it's not Spectro and that's all I really want. Come back to me, Spectro! COME BACK!

The Magic, The Memories, and You is such a cute show. I wasn't expecting much but it blew me away. The Walt Disney part made me tear up.

"Ca-lass-ic" Oh, Stacey...

It's a Small World makes me so happy. I've never noticed that llama before but he's amazing. I'll have to be on the lookout next time.

Your entire EMH night sounds like so much fun. I miss WDW. :sad1:

I really need to dine at Coral Reef. It's definitely going on the list of "Must Dos" for next summer. Hopefully Alejandro will still be working there just so I can sing the Lady Gaga song. Heck, I'll probably sing it anyway because I'll be thinking about how much I hope Alejandro will be working there. :rotfl:

Ah, Coronado is so pretty. My mom and I always emphasized the CHI in PanCHItos. I'm glad to know we're not the only ones.

I hate that Starring Rolls closes so early BUT the fact that it does means cupcakes for breakfast and that's alright with me. :woohoo:

Bribing people with Mickey bars....That is an excellent idea.

I saw those Forever21 crew necks the other day and freaked out. I want to order one but I can't decide between Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast. It's such a tough decision. I feel like I'm having to choose between my nonexistent children.

I'm not a huge fan of The Wizard of Oz but I LOVE Wicked. You're absolutely right that it's life-changing. I've been harboring a not-so-secret desire to play Elphaba ever since I heard the soundtrack for the first time. I have no actual acting/singing experience so it would never happen, but what would life be without wild fantasies?

Aw, what a wonderful M&G with Buzz and Woody. The video is precious. All of your videos are making me wish I filmed our vacations. Maybe I'll have to ask for a video camera for Christmas...

I didn't know you started a new report! I'm joining in!

I don't think I'd be very happy about being strapped to a rocket either...

Hahaha I'm not aware of a rule against it... so sure go ahead.

Good, I've got a bunch that I'll probably start using haha :thumbsup2

Well when I was little I had this prayer book, and each page had a Thomas Kinkade painting on it. I was quite obsessed with this book.

I've been quietly lurking on you ladies trip reports for awhile now but after seeing your friend cry after meeting buzz and woody I just had to comment! That was the sweetest/dorkiest/funniest thing I've ever seen (i swear i mean dorky in the nicest way possible! because i myself, am a total dork :lmao:) I love how genuinely excited you guys are about every experience - i'm just glad i'm not the only one that cries happy tears in disney :rotfl:

Who wouldn't be excited about meeting their favorite character?! I still get all weird when I see Donald Duck! :lmao: It means that we're all in touch with our childhood. And there is nothing wrong with that.

Thanks for the advice! I was thinking more about it, and my mom said she'd be ok with bringing ONE friend, which I don't mind because I already have one in mind that I'd really love to bring. She said that the friend would have to pay for their ticket, plane ticket and food. That would be roughly $1000. I told her the price might scare people away..and if she could make any sort of compromise that would be good. She said if the parents are hesitant she said she would pay for half/$150 worth of the dining plan. I really hope it works out, I just want to figure out more details before I bring it up! Thanks again!! :goodvibes

Love the new update. Your pictures in the queue are so creative and it's so cute how Nat cried after meeting them! :cutie:

Catching up...love the artwork pics. They look amazing :thumbsup2

Love the pics whilst waiting to meet Buzz and I love how excited Nat is.

AWESOME update! I love the picture of Nat just about to hug Woody, when Buzz felt abandoned, when he hid your stuff, etc. Fun!!!
