Hello! A few posts from the DL experts and I'm sold!!! We're booking the GC, concierge either Dec 9 or 16 for a week. Now I have another quick question: is the difference between the standard view and the theme park view worth the price difference and worth going dec 16 vs dec 9?

Also, can anyone give me any advice re: crowds that would help me choose between these 2 weeks?

Thank you!!!

HI. If you book on Dec. 9, you will be eligible for Stay 3 nights, get 4th night free promotion that ends on Dec. 12, 2007. As long as you check in before Dec. 12 and GC has the availbility for the promotion, you will get a free night. My family is staying at the Disneyland Hotel concierge DTD view from Dec. 5 through Dec. 10 and we saved over $500!

If you can go the week of December 9th I would. I think that the crowds might be less as there may not be as many people taking off early for Christmas break. We were there in 2006 around December 5th -- Wednesday and Thursday were great, Friday was horribly crowded, especially in the evening.

As for the view that is a personal preference. We stayed in a standard theme park view room. It was okay but nothing over the top. For my trip in October I decided on a standard view room as I didn't want to use up all my DVC points!

HTH and have a great trip!

Last Christmas I stayed at a theme park view room, it was really nice to go out on the deck have a glass of wine and just relax and look at the rapid ride. I am going back in a month and getting and annul pass and doing the them park view again, they didnt have oncierge theme park but that is ok the annual passes are going to save me over $400.00 dollars between the room and the 2 day pass. :) I could of gotten a standard room for $199.00 but opted for the theme park for $239.00 :thumbsup2 without the annual passes the room was $414.00 a night. :scared1:

Not sure with concierge you could do this but, we had a downtown Disney view room and loved it. It is a little bit cheaper than a theme park view and it is worth spending the extra money over a standard view. There was a violinist outside each night, very romantic sitting on the balcony listening to him. However, it wasn't too loud either, we could close the door and not hear a thing.

I would say it depends on how much time you would spend in your room and on your balcony. Our Disney patterns right now are so we don't usually spend much time on the balcony in the room, so I would go with the standard, especially with a conc room. I would be spending time in the conc lounge/balcony most likely, rather then my room. I would do it if I spent evening on the balcony or had breakfast there or something.
