From the Exposition Hall to the spot in front of Cinderella Castle, it was snowing! I wasn't sure how I would react to the "snow", since last year I was at Disneyland and the snow looked very fake and disappointing. I was pleasantly surprised! The snow actually looked almost real! The freezing cold added to the illusion, and it was all I could do to keep myself from opening my arms wide and spinning like a little kid.
After staking out a spot behind Walt and Mickey, we waited for Holiday Wishes to start. I was expecting something like the regular Wishes, which was disappointing to me. From the very start I was amazed! I didn't care for the soundtrack in a few places, but overall it was very Christmas-y, and the fireworks were more than spectacular! There were a few instances where no matter how I tried to suppress it I had to let a "Whoa!" escape.
After the fireworks, we went to ride Pirates!
Then it was back to Frontierland to find a spot to watch the Christmas Parade. We found a place by the Country Bear Jamboree and decided to sit down; after all, we had been on our poor feet all day long! We then decided that since I was so cold and my feet hurt less I should be the one to stand in the hot chocolate line.
So I go to get the hot chocolate, and guess what? No line at all! Woot, what a surprise!
I got back to Dad and we watched the Country Bears playing pranks on people in the autograph line. That was funny! After the line dispersed and the Bears started mingling with the crowd, one of them came up to us and pointed at our hot chocolate and rubbed his stomach. Dad asked him "What, you want a cookie?" The bear nodded, and Dad had to tell him, "Sorry, but we're fresh out of those." Then the bear slumped and dragged his feet away from us.
I was starting to get what we call "too-much-sugar syndrome" and I needed something salty. The shop where we'd found the pretzels was closed, so Dad let me go to the popcorn stand.
