The Young Avengers: The X Factor (YARP Part 5)

Gordon: "Hm?"

Nova: "I'm sorry you're being treated badly lately," she said, sitting down. "I know what it feels like." Nova paused, feeling awkward. She said, "It's awful for them to treat you this way, even if you did do something bad, for a bunch of goody goodies like them to do this to you, it's awful, and you seem like you could use a friend."

OOC: The explaination for this will be in Nova's diary later. I just need to finish typing it.

Gordon: "Thank you, Ms. Nova." It was the first sentence he had said in hours that wasn't him mumbling or whimpering something. "I appreciate that."

Nova: "I feel bad for Nancy, too. Once you really get down to it, it's only one mistake, and it's not like it's going to lead to anything. Besides, I think you've both been punished enough. I don't think it's right Mike beat you to a pulp either, now, I'm not saying you didn't deserve a punch, because you did, but at the same time I don't think he should have lost his temper. When you go to the army, you are trained in discipline, so I think he should have had more control over his temper."
Nova swallowed. "Just saying. Honestly, I'm really sorry they're all shunning you, treating you like you are nothing to them, you know, like they haven't done anything stupid before in their lives, or reckless."

OOC: The only reason Nancy isn't talking to him is that she doesn't want to make the situation seem worse.

Logan: He nodded to Eli.

Gordon: "I love Britannia more than life itself, and I made a mistake. A mistake I won't ever make again. I deserve all of this hatred."

Nova: "Enough hatred can cause people to do terrible things."

Eli: "Alright, let's go."

OOC: As I mentioned before, I know very little about track, so I can't go into much detail.

Nova: Nova said goodbye to Gordon, then got up, and walked back to her room. She pulled out her journal, which she was not going to call a diary, and began to write her next entry.
I hate it when I’m right. I love it, but I also hate it in a way. Turns out Eli spilled the beans that he was dying. I’d like to say to myself that I called it, but that’s mean. I don’t know what to think of it. I should have just kept my brain shut, because knowing that Eli’s gonna die is awful, and the fact that I suspected he was hiding something makes it even worse. I don’t know, but sometimes I hate it when I’m right.
Even worse, now Hope’s got her cancer back. I didn’t even know she had cancer, which is stupid considering she has gamma radiation in her system. Now everyone’s sprouting Hallmark messages saying that we’re going to endure, you know. Stuff like that. Jay’s pretty upset.
Gordon ended up cheating on his fiancé with Nancy. Turns out that they both kissed each other. I don’t think I’m that surprised. Mike beat Gordon up pretty bad though, and I feel awful for him. No one is talking to him anymore, plus his sister’s in a coma. His fiancé is ticked, although who could blame her, and he can’t pick up his hammer. Even though I’m not all too into the friend thing, he seems like he could really use a friend.
I’m not saying what he did is right, either, but I don’t think Mike should have beaten him up like that. I think one punch was enough, you don’t need to run around beating him to a pulp. You’re supposed to be trained in discipline in the army. Instead, Mike lost his temper because someone kissed his sister, then decided the best course of action was to beat up the guy who did it. I’m not saying it should have gone undeserved, but Gordon’s probably already in enough trouble with his family. Forget about the fiancé, no one is speaking to him and I mean no one, like seriously you make one stupid mistake and everyone hates your guts forever. But what do you expect from everyone here.
They are all so perfect, right? They haven’t done anything dumb, right? I feel even worse for Nancy, because I’m sure Gordon’s fiancé already hates the girl who kissed him, and I’m pretty sure she’s not the most diplomatic person around based on how he got socked in the nose. I don’t think either of them should have kissed each other, but honestly, shunning them will make matters worse, I mean, it’s only a matter of time before one of them runs away. I don’t doubt they won’t either, because based on the way they’re treated, I wouldn’t want to stay here either.
I’m seriously waiting for the day that I make one stupid mistake so they can all shun me. I know it’s going to happen eventually. But I don’t care anyway. I’m sorry for both Gordon and Nancy, because I’ve made a lot of mistakes too. I think I should try and be there for them, because they seem to need some friends right now. We all do. We could all be allies and have each others backs’, at least until the YA’s decide it’s time to start speaking to them again.

Nova closed the journal slowly, and got ready to go to the game.

OOC: And this is not meant to be offensive to anyone, I understand Mike thought that he did what he thought was right, but I decided to take it from Nova's perspective. She has done bad things in the past, so it's easier for her to understand mistakes.

Nova: "Enough hatred can cause people to do terrible things."

Gordon: "I-I-but-" he sighed. "Britannia won't even look at me. She's so mad, but I deserve that. I just wish I hadn't done it. I'll never do anything like it again, there's nothing I have ever regretted more."

OOC: Yeah, Nova's right. Mike should have been disciplined but instead he lost his temper. Although his PTSD tendencies (I haven't decided whether he actually has it or whether he just has tendencies) kinda discourage him from lingering on those memories

OOC: I've decided Raven's going to be her normal self with Gordon. She'll explain this more in depth if/when he asks, but Raven's killed people for the sake of killing, so cheating is nothing.

Evelyn: "Wow was I that intimidating?" She let out a satisfying smile. "That'll be good to use against the bad guys."

Gordon: He sighed and covered his face, sobbing. Why were they so mean to him?

Gordon: He sighed and covered his face, sobbing. Why were they so mean to him?

Raven: She settled down next to him. "You shouldn't be crying. Crying shows them that it's bothering you, but not in a show of strength like telling them you've had enough, tears are weak. And really, they're over-reacting. It's just cheating. And not even cheating that's worth it, it was only a kiss."

Gordon: He sighed and covered his face, sobbing. Why were they so mean to him?

Evelyn: "I'm sorry Gordon that was a bit harsh of me. Just please don't scowl at my boyfriend and literally walking by. He didn't do anything to you today."

Gordon: He looked up at her and wiped his eyes. "They're all treating me so horribly. It isn't fair, Ms. Raven. My world is falling apart. My sister, my fiancé, my friends, even my body is messed up."

Evelyn: "I'm sorry Gordon that was a bit harsh of me. Just please don't scowl at my boyfriend and literally walking by. He didn't do anything to you today."

OOC: He didn't scowl, he cowered, like flinched and stuff.

Gordon: "I didn't. And the keyword to that is today. More than one of my bones are broken because of him," he said quietly.
