Also December I'm all for Nick and Ashley. Think about when Sharon is released and wants to see her daughter. If Nick is with Ashley you know Ashley and Sharon will face off when it comes to Sharon's daughter. Plus, out of all the older women on the show, Ashley is the only won who he hasn't been with, cause we all know he likes the older meat!

You know, I hadn't even thought about her being Faith's first "mom". I like the older woman/younger man trend (since it has always been the other way around), but I'm going to have to see more of them together to get an idea o how I feel about them.......

Those are the same same spoilers-thanks!

Haven't watched since Victoria/Billy lost the baby..... Is she still with Phyliss? Did they find out who's baby Sofia is carrying? What promise did Cane make Lily?

Lucy is still with Phyllis. Unfortunately. The truth is out about Sofia's baby. Neil and Malcolm knows actually, all of the Winters know the truth. When Malcolm found out he left Sofia. The promise Cane made to Lily...I have no idea what that's about.

have you guys seen this? He posted this on Daytime Confidential yesterday.

Thank you to those of you who are commenting objectively.

First of all, the issues that should be laid out on the table are the "similarities" between Adam Newman and myself: There are NONE. That is why it is called "acting". However, I am aware that the contempt that people have for me as a person is strongly influenced by the fact that folks watch me, on a daily basis, being arrogant, patronizing, condescending, antagonizing and did I say arrogant? So when reading interviews or comments from me there are many folks who are reading my comments in an "Adam" voice with "Adam" tones. How could you not? I really can't blame people for that. It's not like you know me as a person. How could you? We haven't met. You've not been around me to see the kind of person I really am. So let's move along to this issue of knowing the real me...YOU DON'T.

I am married. A father of two. I'm very dedicated to my family. I love my work. I'm thankful for it everyday. I've had a 14-year work streak that has afforded me a large resumé and a comfortable lifestyle. I am constantly humbled by how lucky I've been to live out my dream, live out my passion and support my family. I have accepted many humbling defeats over the years where big roles have slipped through my fingers when they were offered to big-name actors. So I continued moving forward and pushing on. I am where I am in my career because of me, my family's encouragement and a helluva lot of luck. Now let's move on to this issue of me being egotistical and self-serving...because I AM.

We all have to have a healthy ego, to a certain extent. Didn't our mothers and fathers raise us to believe how unique and wonderful and beautiful and gifted we all are? Didnt they encourage us to believe we are amazing because they were preparing us for a world that would constantly tell us how ugly, fat, worthless, and miserable we all are. Isn't that what you want to instill in your kids? Strength? Belief in oneself? Confidence? We all want that for our children, and we all know they need it to survive the harsh realities of human nature. So if our mothers and fathers raised us that way, and we raise our children that way, why is it that you are so brutal when you come across an adult that has held on to those values and strengths that we all admit children need to succeed as adults. I believe in myself. I believe I am very talented. I believe I can help make my show better. I believe I can help this dying genre. And yet, it makes a lot of you uncomfortable to hear that kind of confidence.

This business regularly crushes people's souls and leaves them penniless, alcoholic, addicted to drugs, or soul-smothered. You have to learn to fight for yourself and others around you who you care about. In "showbusiness" you have to promote yourself, and believe in your talents, otherwise nobody else will believe in you if you can't even believe in yourself. So to those of you who are saying an actor has an ego is like saying a chef loves food. The two go hand-in-hand. Is it self-serving to want the Emmy system changed? Sure. What a surprise there! Naysayers are really peeling back the curtain with this one. You mean to say, Michael Muhney wants things changed & fixed with regards to the Emmy system so he has a better chance of winning fair-and-square? Wow. Shocker. What a newsflash! How did you ever connect those dots?

I never claimed to be Mother Theresa, because I'm not. But I do believe in speaking up and fighting for what's fair, and I do believe folks I work with are being unfairly passed over while others are being pre-nominated and nominated when they have NO BUSINESS being in contention. So I speak up for myself (self-serving) and my peers (selfless). Because I am outspoken, and fearless, there are many many co-workers who have come to me and thanked me for speaking out. They have explained that they felt like they would be fired, back-burnered, or blacklisted for speaking out. They explained how they felt like fans would be brutal and judgmental and accusatory of their public stand. They didn't want to be accused of being sour grapes. But they agree with EVERY WORD I've spoken in public with regards to the broken, cliqueish, unfair, Emmy system that has become a joke in Hollywood. So when I speak out, I do so for myself, and all the others. A lot of these people are some of your favorite actors, people who have been snubbed, their storylines neglected, and I speak up for them as well.

Do you hear ANY actors from my show hinting at negativity towards me? Quite the opposite. I am not Adam, the pariah that you perceive me to be, I am Michael, the person who gets along with everyone in my show, who sticks up for himself and others against bullies. I willingly take the brunt of all your criticism on behalf of all the actors quietly cheering me on.

So go ahead, continue to be harsh, continue to attack my character and motivations. But you should know that I know something you'll probably NEVER know...me. I can sleep at night knowing all that I do for my family, my coworkers, my show, the Emmys, and the daytime medium. I won't give in to the negativity that is slowly crushing the life out of a beautiful medium. Instead, I'll do everything humanly possible to insure my coworkers will have jobs for as long as possible, and you have daytime soaps as something to watch for years to come.

So get outta my way if you're gettin' in my way. I'm doing everything I can to help a broken, dying, sinking genre. Are you? Thank you to those of you who are commenting objectively.

Y&R: Melody Thomas Scott hasn't been fired
Posted Tuesday, July 19, 2011 12:40:31 AM
by Dan J Kroll

Melody Thomas Scott hasn't appeared on-screen on The Young and the Restless in over a month. The actress has said that she's been let go from the show, but Y&R execs deny it. The truth may lie somewhere in the middle.
Last month, Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki Newman) informed fans that, after more than 30 years, her time on The Young and the Restless had come to an end. Fans immediately bombarded the CBS soap with letters and emails expressing their desire to have Scott rehired.
"I returned to work on [approximately] January 7th, continued working regularly 'til [April 28th], when I shot what turned out to be my last scene," Scott revealed on Twitter at the time. "Last Friday [June 3] was my last air show. That was shot 5 to 6 weeks earlier. Of course, no one bothered to tell me that."
The fallout from Scott's "firing" boiled over at the Daytime Emmys. Things heated up even more when Scott announced that CBS "had to reschedule" her upcoming appearance on the talk show, The Talk.
According to Y&R head writer/executive producer, Maria Bell, Scott hasn't been fired -- and she'll be back on-screen at some point in the future.
"Melody is phenomenal. We love Melody. She's one of the hearts and souls of Young and the Restless. Don’t be worried. She will be back," Bell said backstage at this year's Daytime Emmys, where she won her first Emmy for Outstanding Writing Team. "[Nikki] is in a storyline where she left town but she will be back."
If that weren't confusing enough, show sources have even more explanations for what's going on. Among the theories: Scott was on recurring status to begin with, Scott has continually refused to take a pay cut, and Scott had appeared in more episodes than her contract allowed.
A setside source tells soapcentral.com that Scott's contract "limits how many shows she can appear in."
"Melody is over her contract limit," the source added. "When the next cycle starts up, she'll be cleared to return to action."
In the past, soap opera contracts guaranteed performers that they'd appear in a certain number of episodes during each cycle of their contract. Performers were assured of making a certain amount of many based on that guarantee. If an actor were to be used more than what was guaranteed in their contract, they'd have to be paid extra. If a guarantee was not met, the performer would still be paid for those guaranteed episodes -- and often those performers were released from their contracts to avoid paying for services that were not rendered.
Since Scott's status was first brought into question, Scott has gone back to Twitter to reveal that she and show execs are engaged in contract talks. The show, however, does not comment on contracts or contract negotiations.
Scott joined The Young and the Restless in February 1979. Though it may surprise fans, the actress has received just one Daytime Emmy nomination -- an Outstanding Lead Actress nod in 1999.

Jack is preparing Kyle for the funeral, Kyle worries he'll have to speak but Jack tells him he won't have to if he doesn't want to. Kyle tells Jack that he protected him by hiding his ring from the cops, wish he could've protected his mother
Deacon comes to see Phyllis, she accuses him of stalking her and is ready to call security on him. Deacon tells her that he saw her the night of Diane's mother, she was chasing after her with a rock. Phyllis is left shocked
Adam comes early to the service wanting to pay his respects before anyone came, Lauren asks him to stay as he knows what its like to lose a parent and Diane didn't have many friends. She thinks this would mean a lot to Kyle
Ashley freaks out when she gets a photo of her in the park, she tells Nick who continues to get a phone call from the person who has Ashley's phone. Tucker and Phyllis are suspicious as to what's going on between Nick and Ashley
After the funeral, Ronan gathers all the suspects and he and Paul say they have enough evidence to place many at the crime scene. Basically they try to scare people, Ashley is nervous as is Abby who thinks Ronan suspects her

Next - Jill asks Cane to join her for dinner ; Colin and Genevieve together ; Phyllis is against Lily and Daniel getting involved again, Daniel makes it clear they are two adults

I thought Daniel was against kids. What's he doing hooking up with Lily? Oh well, I guess I shouldn't ask that--I probably already know what his motivation is there!

Sharon is against Sam asking Phyllis for help, he asks anyways. Phyllis shows up, it doesn't take long for her and Sharon to exchange insults but things calm down and Sharon is shown pics of Faith which gets her emotional. Sharon wants out, Avery keeps her waiting saying she has nowhere important to go!!
Jill reaches out to Cane, thinks Billy and Phillip don't need her nor do they want her in their life but Cane reached out to her. Jill felt special that Cane chose her as a mother figure. Jill lets Cane back in her life but warns him not to break her heart to pieces again
Its Daniel's birthday, Kevin, Eden and Lily help him celebrate it but Lily is called away. Kevin, Eden and Daniel are at Jimmy's singing karoke, wonder what's taking Lily so long. Lily is shown at the park, upset when she sees Cane with the twins
Colin reaches out to Genevieve, wants to call a truce since he has enough enemies on his side. The two end up having sex, then decide it was a mistake. Colin runs into Jill at Gloworm, makes a choice and decides to divorce Genevieve which sends her into a rage!

Next - Cane is served divorce papers; Lily moves on with Daniel ; Katherine isn't happy to see Jill with Colin

Lauren's doctor husband? He died - I think when they crossed over to B&B for awhile... anyway, a friend called me today - the actor who played him lives near her - upstate NY. Lives on his family's property in a  mobile home. NOT that there's anything wrong with that, but you would just imagine a former tv actor would be living a little more - upscale.

I'm finding nothing on his death

any idea when Billie is coming back? i miss him. Im board with all this stuff going on. I like that they are sending calls and photos to the folks suspected of murdering Diane.

I still think it is the camera guy that had the video of Abby. ....or it was Genevieve.

Lily tells Cane he's not allowed to see the twins, its not out of spite. Lily still doesn't trust him
Hunter is looking for another job, asks to work at Crimson Lights but Eden says she took the job
Katherine and Paul continue their search for Tucker's son, early 20s. Paul may have a lead
Sophia confides in Tucker about her baby drama, Tucker offers to be there for Sophia and her baby
Genevieve tells Jill that she and Colin had sex shortly before she got dumped, Jill can ask Colin
Tucker refuses to let Sophia read the papers Katherine left, he foolishly signs the sale of Jabot!
After remembering Cane, Lily decides she can't go through having sex with Daniel, she apologizes

Next - Abby wants Ashley to end her marriage to Tucker ; Avery confronts Adam for destroying evidence to help Sharon ; Nick and Ashley see Phyllis on her date with Deacon

"Just saw the preview for the reality show I was supposed to do "dirty soap". So upset :-("

when a follower asked her if Y&R stood in her way from getting the spot on the show she said, "YUP"

In November, the relationship between these two will be rekindled as Cane and Lily still love each other

Ashley confronts Abby about her conversation with Tucker, learns about Abby's accusations. Ashley tells Abby about what her lies caused - Ashley in jail, Tucker in a coma. Ashley tells Abby to focus on her own life because its a mess!! Avery confronts Adam about Sharon, its obvious from his conversation that Sharon getting involved with Sam was devastating for him. In not so many words, Avery realizes that Adam did destroy the evidence that could've saved Sharon Phyllis cancels plans with Nick after Deacon continues to blackmail her about what he knows. What Phyllis doesn't realize is that Nick was at the Athletic Club, he sees her but she tries to turn the tables asking why he's here with Ashley Adam gets into it with Victoria at Crimson Lights, brings up her broken marriage while Victoria brings up Sharon with Sam. Adam tells Victoria he no longer feels pain, he gives it! Adam is just getting started At jail, Avery lies to Sharon about why she couldn't see her the other night. Avery tells Sharon about Adam destroying evidence, Sharon realizes just how much she hurt Adam which pisses Avery off saying Adam should get no sympathy Abby tells Victoria about her plans to go back to school then pushes for Victoria to move on with her life without Billy, start fresh. After Abby leaves, Sam shows up as he heard Victoria has a room for rent (I'm guessing Jana's old apartment)
