Luggage Assistance picked up the bags and we stopped in the food court for Mickey waffles. After breakfast, we were off to Epcot. GOODBYE, ASM! Don't call us. We'll call you!
There weren't many people waiting at Epcot for the opening. Wow, another great day ahead? I knew that there were zillions of people in town for various conventions & Epcot handles crowds well. I thought Epcot would be a good park for today. Turns out I was right.
The park opens and we fast walk along with everyone else. We stop at the character greetings and get autographs from Pinnochio. There were characters walking around that I didn't know but I snapped pictures of all of them anyway.
I guess I'll figure out who they are once I get the film developed.
We got a FP for Test Track and went to Journey into your Imagination. We did the ride and then spent alot of time in the Photolab.
We explored the Living Seas and rode Test Track. My 11 y.o. left his hat on our car. He ran back to tell the operator & came running back. He needed the car number. Thank goodness for ride photos - we got the car number from the ride photo and he dashed off again. We waited for him and saw our car pop up again on the screen with the next set of people. We studied the photo just in case my son came back w/out the hat so we would know who to stalk.
He came back with hat on his head. Great because it's time to run to Teppanyaki. We were supposed to arrive at 11:45 to check in but at 11:55, we're still making our way around the "World." It's nice to burn off your meal before you eat it.
We had 2 adult vouchers today. We got two Sushi samplers - yummy. DH got the steak and lobster and I got the lobster with scallops and shrimp. Now this is living.
Our bill (along with 4 kids meals and dessert for all 6) with tax & tip was about $180! We gave our server the vouchers and she was going to just take them as payment in full. I quickly corrected her and told her that we still owe her for the kids. We spent $60 on the kids meals and tip and $64 for the vouchers. We made out like bandits on that deal.
We leave Teppanyaki. It was freezing before lunch. Now it is freezing and bone chillingly damp. This is Florida? We walk thru all the countries and the kids each complete a mask. At 5pm, we left Epcot and just missed the first bus to the POR. After 15 freezing minutes, another bus pulls up. We are soooo excited to get to the POR. The ramp isn't working correctly and the bus can't lower the ramp to load an ECV. The bus driver keeps lowering it and nothing happens. I felt so bad for the man who needed the ramp to get on the bus. It was another 15 minutes until another bus came along. The first bus driver still didn't have the ramp fixed but she told us we could get all get on. I HOPE that they loaded this man onto the next bus. We drove away and left him in the cold.
