My DS comes home tomorrow. I can't believe that his first quarter of college is over. My how time flies. I have missed him but now am really worried about how we will all get along now that he has been out in the world.

It's definitely different, Betty I think more respect comes They realize how much you've done for them.
DD even asked me to go shopping with her on Friday.....I will, but I don't want to I hate shopping that day.

Just popping in before I have to go to the mall to pick up my oldest and his friend. Everyone needs to post your yummy turkey recipes. I hate to admit this but I have never cooked one before . Looks like I will be cooking for us this year. MIL/FIL are not cooking. Last year we ate with my best friend and her family and I did lots of the side dishes but she did the turkey. I would hate for dh and the boys to be stuck with turkey jerky
I dont like to cook and only do so to avoid going into debit by eating out all the time.

My DD is making the turkey this year. She is 15 and needs the hours for her nutrition class. She is doing our turkey in a cooking bag.

Nancy, I am looking forward to a more mature DS. He has requested dinner at Outback tomorrow night and we will oblige. The best thing is he seems just as happy to come home as we are to have him back.

Deena, I have no secret thing with turkeys... I have been doing Thanksgiving on my own for the last 13 years... the only thing I do is use a baking bag and follow the instructions Really nothing to it! I do a lot of my food by scratch and I suppose Weds night I'll make the stuffing for the bird so my dad can get it in the oven on time for me

Turkey.....I just roast it. Have brined it.....my that was a good one!! Just doing a breast and a leg this year Only 3 of us.
And with DH on Atkins, there won't be much in the way of sides.....kind of boring. I love to cook!!
But I am making 3 desserts for the 3 of us!! Gotta get the important things!!
