Just on a dream...I just checked to see if there were any very cheap flights to go from Cleveland to Orlando to Chicago to Cleveland and nothing doing. We leave the 17th for our Kissimmee stay and are out the 24th. If there were a way to get a really cheap flight for the whole thing ending up to Chicago then home, I thought we might swing it. Nope not unless we stow away or make really good friends with a pilot in a hurry.

So I will belong to the not able to make it group for that weekend as we will stick to our original plan of driving down to Fl.

Sherry, this is what you do... keep your DS in Columbus, I'll shove him in my suitcase and take him with me to Chicago on the 23rd. Then you all can leave that day as well to get there!!! Sound good?

No worries, we'll plan some fun stuff while you are there!! Navy Pier is a must do for me (more than once too if need be ) and Ghiradelli, Cheesecake factory and pizza are always doable (more than once also ) We'll have a blast!!! Although I admit I never have been to Uno's since I don't like the chain here

As for the concert.... it was great!!! I will copy from another post so I don't have to type again (I'm lazy)
Well the concert was really fun... there was a very good magician guy opening (how else would you open for Weird Al? ) Then he came out and really put on a great show for 2 hours. We were in the balcony (front row) so we had a great view but not too close to the speakers or anything like that. Did a bunch of old & new stuff so I got to hear some of the classics. Just a funny guy and I am always amazed by his actual singing talent (when he shows it). It was Luis' first concert ever and he enjoyed it! Now I just have Josh Groban left to go to and tickets to try to get in April for Clay again...

Yep, Clay again! I found out yesterday he is doing a solo performance at the Ohio State Fair. Tickets go on sale May 8th and I am determined to get great seats!

Elaine...Ohio State Fair, wish we could come but May is pretty booked. How long is the fair? On the 8th we are doing the MS Walk, but I do like Clay's singing. I would be nice to see him in concert.

Amanda, I am feeling a bit better today. My friend found out early this morning that she needed to go into work early, so she couldn't call last night. I wake up at 6, so it wasn't so bad, the phone just scared me to death.

I hope the snow talk was just an April Fool's joke. I only heard a sec of it, then DS changed the channel to cartoons. Its raining here now, and I believe it is supposed to rain again tomorrow. We'll have to build an ark soon.

Amanda & Sherry, Clay will be singing August 11th (it's a week night, but maybe in the summer more doable). Tickets just go on sale on May 8th. I'm trying to find out if there is a real trick to getting great seats. I wasn't quite as lucky with his last concert. Although this is the Celeste Center so this isn't as big of a place as well.

Sherry the snow might not be a joke... we have rain for Sunday and a low of 30

Well, I DO believe there is a little yellow duckie in my future!! I read my post to DH and how you all were commiserating with me. He says he honestly forgot yesterday! This morning, he was on the Build-a-Bear site and he printed out the picture of the duck so he would know exactly what he was supposed to get!!! Even asked what I wanted to name it!!!

Oh, Sherry, I hope you DON'T get any of that white stuff on Sunday! And as soon as your ark is finished, just float on down here (we still have rain, too). Plenty of retail therapy options we could consider to keep ourselves occupied!!

Amanda, Laine tried to talk me into coming to the OSF to see Clay with her--if the fact that it's a weeknight and I can't take off work doesn't deter me, the airfare does!!! Holy cow, $786 and it isn't even a direct flight!!! Sorry your trip to Gatlinburg had to be cancelled, but we'll try to make it up with Chicago, OK?! You definitely deserve a break!!

Nancy, I'm with you on the shopping doesn't necessarily equal buying. I just love wandering and looking too. Of course, it usually involves a little snackie--Starbucks, or the hot pretzel place, or maybe the bakery........
