Morning Everyone. Didn't get a call to sub today, so I am home. I knew that this would be a slow week because the middle school is getting ready for testing next week and the high school is taking proficiencies this week.

Glad that Cris Judd won that celebrity thing last night. What a doll!

It is sleeting in the Queen City and I need to get the teens moving. Will stop by later.

Good Morning to ALL!!!!

Oh Jeannie, I can just picture you stepping, how cute and just a little funny.

Kimmy--My Nitwit sister is Gemmie214 (Jana) She and I had been crossing paths on the DIS for almost 2 years, and then email, and PM, when we finally found out we live about 40 minutes from each other, and work about 20 mins from each other. We met for dinner several weeks back, and it was literally like we were sisters separated at birth. We have so much in common, and we can talk like a house afire. No one would get a word in edgewise. Yesterday I made some comment, and decreed myself a nitwit, and she agreed with me, so we were dubbed. :).

Ugh ugh ugh--More snow heading my way. North of Boston is getting 1-3", Boston is getting 3-5", and South of Boston is getting 5-8" (maybe more :earseek:) Guess where the debster lives? Yep, south of Boston. Ack ack ack.

Of to face the day.

Just checking in..:)

Morning all!!!

I am a happy Ya Ya here :) I went to play for some dates for a trip in May and I just happened to check out the Swan & Dolphin's website for prices. I figured if I could get about $150/night there I'd stay. Right now best I had found was $162.50 which was just a tad on the high end since $150 was more or less my cut off there (even though I was going to go for a moderate with hopefully an AP rate). Well... I found it for $147.50 :bounce: So now I have car and hotel there. I just need to find air and I am set!!! I am so happy :bounce:

The only downside is that I doubt I will be doing a mid-year trip, but I love the Swan so I am thrilled!!!

Okay, back to your regularly scheduled YaYaing ;) Have a great day all!

Good morning all! Can you believe we're in the middle of another snowstorm? It's really pelting it down - calling for 2-4". We had a 2 hour school delay - and DD drove into school on horrible roads. I sat here on pins and needles worrying about her - and DH headed to Ohio for work.:(

Betty,
I am soooooo happy Cris won last night! I agree - he is such a doll!:bounce:

Having once been a Korean baby myself I wanted to add a little anecdote of my own prompted by her little neice darling's hairdo....well, another day...

And now you are a beautiful Korean Princess, sweetcakes!:D Will you do a little Irish jig for us? Huh, Huh? Pretty, Pretty, Please!!!!:bounce: :bounce:

Elaine,
Good job for the hotel rate!

Hello to Kim and Jay - shared sniffles, eh??;) So, how much is a Pooh going for these days, Jay??

Good morning........quiet on the Yaya train.

Hope all sick yayas and their littlies (a Carol term ;) ) are feeling better.

Grey and rainy here too.

Amanda have fun.

Elaine! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc Marilyn does the happy dance in honor or Elaines good hotel price!

Who is playing that darn Riverdance music???!!! It is throwing off the rhythm of my happy dance. Knock it off!

Great price Elaine. So glad you were able to get it and get planning on your trip.

Morning Pam! How the heck are you? Yes, Chris is a doll, isn't he? Can't believe the poor guy was married to that....that....that....thing. Anybody besides me think Melissa Rivers was hot to trot with him? :o

Hi Betty! Hi Shep!

Sigh... my kid is working the system today... I know it, he knows it, and I made sure HE knew I knew... but to tell ya the truth, I'm not up to fighting with him today. Pink eye is going around the school... he woke up complaining that his eye hurt/itched. Well... it looks FINE, but at the same time, would hate to send him to school then have to turn around in an hour and go pick him up because the eye did suddenly pink out... we live too far away, don't feel like cruising the highway all morning, so he's working at home today. Besides... Tom will be home today... first time in three weeks and they only have the weekend to be together and do their guy stuff, so heck with it... he's getting a long weekend. Teacher can spank me, flip my card and send me a truckload of pink slips for being a bad mom if she wants. :o

Hey Pam! This California girl loves the snow, but gotta admit, ya'll have been getting pounded this year, and it's starting to make our non existent seasons seem pretty appealing!

Elaine! That's awesome!! How many days?

What'cha shopping for Hildey? :) I need to go out and do my care pkg. shopping, but looks like it's postponed until tomorrow or Saturday now.

Debster, how cool that you've found your long lost nitwit sis! :p That's so sweet!!

Laura + head cold= GAK! :( I can truly sympathize with you Laura. :( Looks like I won't be back to my regular/complete work out routine for awhile, now that I've got this weird pulled muscle or whatever it is. Darn coughing!! I am going to try to do just a few minutes on my bike at home today, but looks like the weights are on hold for awhile longer. :( I feel so blobby!! :(

Hi Nancy!! I put one of my pins in my car! :bounce:

Hello to Kim and Jay - shared sniffles, eh??
A-choo....

Now, do you think that they'd let this non-Irish, chopstick-wielding, Yaya-in-training just sit and watch...oh nOOOOOOO! Up I went, knees snapping, arms akimbo,skippety-skipping amidst all the red-heads and freckles...I swear, I was MAGNIFICENT !!!

ROFLMBO!! I bet you were absolutely adorable Jeannie.

Morning Jodie, Kim, Laura and any others I may have missed.

Kim, if you felt that strongly about him going to school you would have made him go. I am one of those of the mind that sometimes you just know when your kids need a break from the school routine and need to stay home even if they aren't sick. Marilyn ducks and covers her head to protect herself from the flying erasers the teachers are throwing at her

Gotta go for now....have things to do.

Later.

Elaine :bounce: You're going to WDW!!
Are you "stuck" on the Swan....or do you want to save more money?
Mousesavers has some good rates listed.

I think that's where we are Marilyn... it's been a long three weeks. :( He has all of his books here, so other than additional work assigned today, he will be able to stay caught up. :)

I just sent the mousesaver site to a girlfriend that's pricing out a WDW trip...any suggestions on where a family with 6 kids, should look into staying, ladies?

Well.... looks like a good day to get some housework done, and hopefully a little more yearbook progress... hope I don't lose another finger to the photo trimmer.

I was happy! I was hoping to be able to stay at the Swan, but I just couldn't justify spending that kind of money there. I mean it is nice and I love the beds (I sleep like a queen there) but just like with the Polynesian, I may love it but I am not willing to pay the money for it right now (even with AP rates). Right now I have it set up for 7 days/6 nights.

Nancy, I am very very familiar with mousavers ;) Truthfully the rates listed don't help me since this is a December trip and I am getting a little concerned since no AP rates have been listed since the beginning of the year. I am going to keep looking but I figured a rate that I found for the Swan won't just come jumping out like that very often ;) I figure if the rates are very good for WDW Resorts then I can switch but I'd be a fool to pass that up.

Kim as for your friend, 6 kids??? Well I assume they will have two rooms or they would need a Villa (how many adults going?). I'm not even sure that the kidsuites off site would be big enough for that. What is their budget and when are they going?

Marilyn, I 100% agree... sometimes kids need time off from school! I think that taking kids out for family reasons (trips, time together or whatever) is important. I am seeing way too much focus on schooling and homework that it saddens me. To me family always comes first :)

Yep.... six kids. :) I'm assuming it'll be two adults, my friend and her hubby. She was looking at the Villas yesterday... and I suggested that she look into two rooms at one of the All Stars... I'm not sure what their budget is at this point, but know that with six kids, she'll definitely be looking for as many price breaks as she can possibly get. As for when they're going, I don't think she knows yet, but the water parks are important to them, so I'm sure they'll be scheduling around them.

Just a quick check in...have to exercise during lunch time. Ab class here I come....then to the weights.

Oh I know you are familiar with mousesavers ;) I'm sure we all are.

AP rates that are out now are through April 9, so I know more won't come out until then.

I just glanced and saw that using a code, moderates were only $104....wish I could go. I love POR!!

Kim, seems most people with that many kids going opt for connecting rooms at an AS.....the 2 bathrooms are a BIG plus!

I want to plan a trip.
DL planning is the PITS!! It's all last minute and I'm so bad at that!!

Good luck to your friend!!! I would suggest All-Stars as well or if they can afford or can find a good rate at a moderate like DxL. I don't think there are rates for the villas that are good and if I recall, they are about $500 or more a night. Are they flying??? If so that would take a small fortune to do that! Good luck to them!!

 Hi Amanda :)
