I agree wholeheartedly with what you said about the parents of those students. I have seen it in my sons school also. They either dont care at all, have given up on their kid, or their kid can do NO WRONG. Arrrrrrrrgh.

In Cam's situation, we're dealing with a first year teacher. Other than minimal subbing and Sunday School teaching, she has very little experience. This is a private school, so we wind up with a lot of "student" teachers. The one downside to our wonderfully small, intimate little setting. Her intentions are in the right place, she means well... but she's a very high strung individual... she's the mother of one girl and frankly, I just don't think she's used to dealing with 12-13 yo boys. The bottom line is, she needs to lighten up and relax. I think she's trying too hard to be honest with you. This is a very mellow, low key group of kids for the most part... I think she...and they... would be a heck of a lot happier if she'd just take a deep breath, relax and let them be boys. Remember one of Cam's pink slips from earlier in the month? He threw two candy hearts at the girl he has a crush on. Geesh.... that's just CUTE... that doesn't warrant a pink slip! This teacher's heart is in the right place, I think she's just having a hard time relaxing, to be honest with you.

It's sad when you see parents give up, isn't Betty? I'm so sorry that's happening to those kids. They're the ones that ultimately suffer... so sad.

Marilyn is it the 1200 calorie card?? I havent been able to use it because the cards that were with it started at 1400. If you have the 1200 Kcal one I would really appreciate it. Thank you sweetie. I tried using the 1400 card and closing some of the windows but i kept confusing myself so I started just doing it on my own. Ummm thats not going too well either because now Im undereating.

Accck I feel like such a slug tonight after eating what I did. I forgot how really nasty that bad food makes me feel. I didnt even exercise tonight because Im just too tired to. Thats bugging me because I should have after what I ate.

Well, oldest DS has the pukies and a fever. Waah!!
The boy I babysit had this Friday after leaving my house, and I was so hoping my boys wouldn't get it.
If this goes like it did at the beginning of winter, they will get this one after the other. Gotta make sure I have plenty of Lysol, and I'm gonna have to go buy lots of Ginger Ale and chicken broth.

Hello Carol, long time since I have been on when you are on. How are things going?

Kids are off to school and I am taking another day off. This house and family has been neglected since November and it will take some time before it starts to look like it used to. Whoever talked me into such a big house should have his/her head examined.

You still have your decorations out? Oh yes, I had this bright idea of actually going through it all and getting rid of some of the older stuff that we don't used anymore. Then I decided to pack them all in those red and green plastic storage boxes. WOW! I am impressed. I knew you would be. I have everything that is for Christmas very organized. What are you going to organize after that? Well, I have the Dickens Village houses by Department 56 and want to put them in those Rubbermaid containers also.
