DH really lost his cool with DD and her mouthiness and unwillingness to do her chores. Then I lost it with DS about 30 minutes later for the same offense. Sigh....... DH was very discouraged about feeling like he's good for nothing but being a meal ticket. I tried to explain to him that, unfortunately, all teens are like that.

Everyone apologized and the chores got done - but what a rotten way to spend the Sabbath!

Forgot to say, Nancy - that I did catch your post about the Roadkill Guy - it made me howl!! I had to read that one to DH!!

It is really cold here today. Only 2 degrees, -9 with the windchill. Brr!! Got a little bit of snow last night, too. And they are predicting a snow storm Tuesday night. UGH! Where is Spring?? I am sick of winter already!!

I weighed in this morning and I am down 9 POUNDS total since I started!!!! I am so excited!!!! I actually got into a pair of jeans yesterday that I havent been able to wear in a year!!! Previously I could get them done up but I looked as though I was being cut in half and I certainly couldnt breathe in them. Yesterday I wore them out shopping and dh said I looked really nice in them!!!

Sherry that is MUCH too cold. I think you need to come to Florida. Yesterday our temp went up to 90!

Well today is another day and a fresh new start. Last week was not a win win situation for anyone. Walked into a beeshive and I didn't take the warning seriously enough. I already have a load of laundry started, a dish washer going, two teens off to school (first time in a long time where I got to see them leave in a long time) and I am back to being the type of mom that I want to be. Guess I am not cut out to be a full time working mom while DH is gone all week.

Betty, sorry that you had such a bad week. The cold on top of allergies (I've been there, it can be bad!!!!) is bad enough but the subbing just made it worse.

Karen, that's great about your jeans!!! Great feeling, isn't it?

Sherry, we have cold and maybe snowy here later this week (actually every day starting Tuesday through the weekend ) It's about 5 out right now and somewhere around -5 to -3 out. So not quite where you are, but cold all the smae.

Good Morning EVERYONE!!!!

Had a crummy crummy crummy weekend. Lot of icky work stuff, lots of soul searching on my part about where I want to go in this company. I have no more answers today than I did on Friday, but at least I feel better about it.

And, my company is starting a donation for the victims and families of the horrible fire from 2 weeks ago. They are allowing us to make donations via payroll deduction for 10 weeks. And, in these very very uncertain economic times, the company is going to donate 50 cents for every dollar an employee donates. This is part of the reason I stay here, even when the stress level is through the roof.

Now, onto something else; did everyone see Twinmom7's post about her son being in Kuwait? I have PM'd Patty (Twinmom) a couple of times, and I have her son's name and address, and a 'wish list' of sorts of things that her son and his comrades could use/need. Anyone interested in a Ya Ya Care Package project. She says everything that makes it over is shared, so if we sent all the stuff to her son, he would share with all his pals. Whaddya think ladies and bothers???? You can PM me, and I am happy to coordinate.

On to a GREAT new week. But, darn it is too cold for words today. It was 12 degrees when I left the house, with a wind chill in the minuses, and it's going to get colder as the day goes on. I am layered to work in an office, it's so cold.

It's Cinderellas castle!!! Smell! Listen! Are you there?? There's Mickey! And Goofy! Oh look...the parade is starting!!! Hear the music? Smell the popcorn? Taste that Mickey bar? Cmon...parades over...let's ride Buzz!! Bet I can beat ya!! Oooo...Space Mountain!! Let's ride on the speedway!! (hee hee...lots of us will fit in those little cars better now! ) OK..ya'll ride the teacups...I'll take pictures!

Well the field trip was cancelled because of the deep freeze up here. But I did get to go in and listen to Paige's "speaking and listening" report......Jodie, you must have been picking up on it when you wrote your dream, becuase of course it was...."Our trip to WDW!!!"

Jodie, that is definately what we need. It just seems like so many YaYa's have been sick, and those of us that haven't been sick seems to be getting the blahs on and off. You actually have me dreaming of WDW now! I am so glad we booked a place to stay...now it is "real" and gives me something to plan. Just think, two trips for me this year! Sorry, can't ride the teacups with the rest....no turny roundy thingys. I'll take pictures with you.

To the Ya Yas who responded to my care package post, I have the list, I will email or PM it to you all, along with my address. I can have the stuff shipped from work at no charge. Another reason I stick with this company. The president sent an email saying that anyone sending stuff to deployed soldiers overseas could use the postage machine for the company, and that we did not have to reimburse!!! This guy really 'gets it'.
