Yep, musical Mickey. :) He's from new year's eve 1999/2000. He has a black tophat that lights up the number "2000" as it plays "Auld Lang Syne" (sp - I'm sure I spelled that wrong).

Hey... have you ever had a storm that dumped hail and sleet *and* thundered?? Well, it's happening here. And all the sparrows, finches, robins, junkos, doves and other birds around my feeder are flocking for cover. :o It's days like this that make me glad I work at home!
All together now... everyone sing!
Let it sleet,
Let it sleet,
Let it sleet! :p

Congratulations Karen!

Elaine I am so sorry about Luis's accident. It was very bad here this morning. I was up at 4:30 driving DH to the airport and when I was coming home I saw a lot of cars driving carelessly.

Jodie, DS is doing all her own laundry. I quit doing it about 3 months ago. I got upset when I would do laundry and her dirty clothes basket had folded clean clothes in it. AFter the second time I stopped and told her she was on her own. I just didn't have time to wash clothes a second time.

I am feeling a little better, but you know how the cough/stuffy nose things goes. My poor little nose is so sensitive right now. Even the Puffs with lotion make it feel bad. Been doing the vasiline on the nose and it helps a little.

Got a call from the 7th grade principal who wanted to fill me in on my new 8th grade assignment. Seems the team is out of control and walked all over the other sub. She said that students just got up and walked out of class. The sub had lost all control. So I must go in and really whip them into shape. They are hoping that since most of them have seen me around school and some even had me quite a few times last year that they will respond differently. She told me not to hesitate to call the office. So this should be interesting. I am going to need all the best wishes from you all for this assignment. I should only be there 2 weeks before the building sub will take over. (She is finishing up a long term position)

Jay, I know exactly what you are going through. When we were driving home from Athens, I was feeling punky and let DS drive. We hit very dense fog, a bad rainstorm with lightning and the the hail and sleet. I felt so bad for DS but he did fine. I am glad that I was with him. He needed some experience driving in bad weather because it doesn't happen very often. He has been driving for two years and this was good for him although it was nerve wrecking for me.

Kim, hope you are feeling better.

Well... poo poo snot. Now I have a fever. :( I'm a good girl and get the antibiotics and NOW the temp. comes. It's gone from 100.8 to 101.4 in 20 min. Sheesh... seems like a lot. YaYa nurses? I suppose it's a good thing to some extent, it's probably kicking butt on those germs, but sure makes you feel lousy. :(

See if I sleep under the stars again.

Blech blech blech! I haven't been sick in years....this stinks.

Well... poo poo snot.

Kim, I feel for you. Hope the temperature goes done soon.

I am starting to feel drowsey myself, so a nap for the Elder sicky Ya Ya.

Did you just say what I thought you said??? :earseek: :earseek: Fellow Ya Yas, we have discovered that our dear, beloved Kimmy has a potty mouth on her! Um, wait... part of that quote *is* potty talk!!!

Well, it's been on and off sleeting, freezing rain and even hailing. Or those are some *mighty* big sleet pellets! Hey, if they close the office tomorrow, does that mean I have to work? :p

Evening YaYas!!!!

Kim I am so sorry you are running a fever now. I hope that antibiotic kicks in quickly for you.

Elaine Im sorry Luis got into an accident. Thankfully he is okay and it was just the car.

Sherry I will be at Disney for Christmas also so we can get together.

Jay what weird weather you are having. Yikes.

Betty I hope you start feeling better very soon.

Can someone help me fix my WISH image?? Im at a loss as to why it wont work.

Karen, your /IMG] is missing its first [. Fix that and it should work.

Kimmy, lots of fluids. Lots and lots of fluids. Water and juice would be good, popsicles and jello count also. Eat or drink some stuff with Vitamin C also, or get some of those Vitamin C throat drops.

2.5 lbs here, so that makes me feel better.

7" of snow with about 2 more today and the stupid school was not even delayed. It took me 1-1/2 hours to drive 25 miles to work in a 4 wheel drive. At least the majority of the idiots were not on the road today.

Elaine, I would love to go in December, but will have to convince DH. Don't know if I would want to go for the whole week though. Haven't left DD home with just her and Dad for more than a couple of days. yes, I know, overprotective mom, but so what. Maybe I'll convince DH that this could be his Xmas present to me! :teeth:

Awwww.....Kim...that is terrible that you are now running a fever.
Hope you get better SOON!!

Betty....you feeling any better?

 Hi Bonnie!

It has been VERY quiet today. Where is everyone?

oh, geez, Elaine, poor Luis! Give him a big hug for me would ya?
hey, and PM me the details of what you're thinking about for December. If flights are too expensive, maybe we could be Thelma and Louise (without the death scene, of course). That would be a bonding experience!

Betty, major ((((hugs)))) headed your way. Maybe when they see Mama Feller walk in, they'll straighten up cause your reputation will precede you. Keeping fingers crossed.

Off to the treadmill. Can't be the only chubby yaya at the cabin!

Aww...Kim......I told you to get better not run a fever! Do I have to fly out there with some chicken soup? I hope it doesn't last. :(

Hi Karen! How's your night?

Hi Bonnie and Jay and Nancy! It has been quiet today!

Good luck Betty! When I was subbing I once had the principal and school POLICE OFFICER escort me to the room and give the students a speech before I started my day  And keep in mind I was 22 at the time!!!  Not sure I've ever been that scared. Turned out fine though. :)

Just back from GS meeting. Never....ever ask 7 8 year olds where they want to go as a troop!!!! I got answers from "the moon" to "Las Vegas"!!! (Paige being the LV vote! Gotta love my daughter!!! ;) )

Hi Nancy and Jen! You sneated in on me!

psssssssstttt... Elaine....CMH to MCO for those dates $211.

Elaine...so sorry about Luis' car!!! I'm glad he wasn't hurt. Driving is the only part of winter I REALLY hate!

Thank you Bonnie. That fixed it!!!

Betty I bet those kids will straighten up and fly right when you walk in the room.

Jennifer my night is going GREAT!!! I just made a wonderful dinner of salmon, corn and spinach salad and Im about to have my legal ice cream sandwich treat for the night!!! Jennifer you are right I have been much more upbeat lately. My stomach is finally starting to calm down and I just feel GREAT losing weight. I am so committed to this weight loss this time. I know I can do it!!!

Evening all!!! Sorry I was a tad bit busy earlier so here I am now.

Kimmie take it easy and relax... you'll be better in no time now that you have all those meds to help you :)

Thanks all... I was in a cruddy mood earlier today about the car thing. He's okay, the car is drivable so no rush to fix it. We will wait until the weather is good so he can easily drive my dad's van.

Bonnie, honestly I don't have many plans. I will most likely fly and if I can get the fligths I want, I can get there at the crack of dawn (okay 10:30 on a very very early Delta flight) and get a non-stop flight back that Sunday evening. As I said, I have the car rental because it was a great deal and that's it. No hotel or nothing. I think the Delta fare I saw was $250. Truthfully I doubt I'd drive (nothing personal) I just don't do well on long road trips... 8 hours is IT for me. So I'd PM you the details, but really there aren't any yet. I need to see rates later to pick more. If I go by myself, I will need to stay cheap. If I have someone with me, then I can easily swing a more expensive place. I think Jodie was going to come too :p (sorry Jodie, I couldn't resist). Now that would be a blast :teeth:

Hi everyone. Just checking in from icy DFW. Hey, anyone want some chicken parmegean ravioli? I'm making it for dinner but DW won't be home for a while. She just called to tell me she's been on the road nearly 90 minutes and is still 30 minutes away from home. It's icy out there and there's a *ton* of people driving. And a lot of them don't know how to drive on ice. Sooooooooo, here I am with a pot full of this ravioli and only me to eat it. DW even said she's still full from lunch, so even if she were here, I'd be the only one eating it. Anyone want some? Please? What kind of sauce do you like? I have a tomato sauce & alfredo. :)

We normally get a storm like this early in the year, so I'm not surprised. And the weather people say it's going to get worse..... :o

Elaine, I'm glad to hear Luis is doing good, but that stinks about the car. :(

Okay... I'm off to eat my bachelor dinner & watch the sleet/freezing rain come down. No wait, it stopped. Well, for a while anyway.

Hee hee...why are all of ya'll's posts reminding me of songs tonight??? :p Karen is "Bob the Builder"....can she do it? YES SHE CAN!!!! (Those of you who are not regular Nickelodeon viewers...you haven't lived until you have watched Bob the Builder!! LOL!) Karen has seen it I'm sure with 2 boys in the house!

Jay is Winnie the Pooh..."And the sleet sleet sleet came down down down...." Ahhh...it's nice in my world!:p

ELAINE!!! LOL! Ahem...she is gettin me in trouble as usual!!! I was on the phone with our "Dis angel" tonight for awhile and the cheapskate wants me to room with her at the Swan in Dec. so she can get the "nurse's discount"!!! (Picture Jodie giving Elaine the raspberries here!!!:p ) It's not ME she wants to see...sniff sniff...she is using me because I'm cheap...um..no...I mean because I can make it cheaper...yeah...that's right!:p And ...ya'll...our Dis angel is not ALL angel don cha know!!:teeth: :teeth:

Kim....Bonnie's right...DRINK! And I don't mean champagne Rosie! Your temp shouldn't last long now that you are on antibiotics. If it lasts longer than tomorrow you need to call the doc and get a change of antibiotics!!!

Karen your dinner sounds yummy!! I love salmon...unfortunately I am the only one in my family who does. Wanna know what they call it? "Tar fish"...because they say it tastes like tar!! Geez!

Hi Jennifer!!! BWAHAHA!!! It doesn't get better as they get older I hate to tell ya! When the girls were voting on going to WDW I has suggestions for Europe, Tahiti, Alaska, and ...are you ready for this?...a "little hike up Mt. Everest!!!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!! These are the same girls who refuse to camp without the presence of a potty in very short walking distance! :p

Hi Bonnie!!! How's things?

Betty...good luck with the new sub job!

Hi Nancy!

Now ya'll quit pickin on Kim for her poo poo snot potty mouth!! She is sick and on medication and can't be held responsible for what she says!!!:p :p

No use trying to ketchup, just popping in to say hi to everyone and then getting back off...lol...
SHould have the computer back tomorrow night to be able to DIS at home...:bounce:
