I can't remember if I logged a trip report or not for our trip in March or not. In short... it sucked! But at no fault to the DW cast or the service of the resort.

The plans, 8 days at the CB with a few spring training games mixed in.

After a long drive down I-75, somewhere near the Florida border, the youngest started showing signs of getting sick and becoming lethargic. So we visited the Urgent Care right outside of the Disney properties.

The quack (and not Donald) put her on some antibiotics and steroids. (It’s OK, she's not playing ball any time soon and should not get a suspension.) Well, she got continually worse … throwing up everything that went in.

Called back home to our primary care doctor for the girls and read off the drugs she was given. Doc said hang up the phone and take her to the children's hospital ASAP; no baby should be on those drugs. Savannah was officially on the DL; officially listed as pneumonia and stomach bug (flu-like symptoms). We made multiple trips back to the Arnold Palmer Children's Hospital to get her the fluids she was constantly losing.

When we did venture to the parks, we had to make a couple trips to see the docs on hand at the parks for some chidrens tylenol. They were top notch!

The breakfast at the castle was awesome, each spending alot of time at the table with the girls. The Braves stadium (Wide World of Sports) was very nice... My Tigers won, bonus!

We had dinner with Remy at the French restraunt, cracked up at the cast members act! great meal.

One of things I like the most was catching an outdoor movie at the CB with the epcot fireworks in the background.

Toward the end of our eight days in Orlando, the youngster showed signs of getting better but then lapsed as the rest of us took a nosedive. The day we were supposed to leave ended up with us back at the ER, Savannah not keeping anything down while Brooke had an ear infection.

To top it off Mom and Dad caught the same stomach bug. … My wife and I took turns killing ants about every 30 miles on the way home.

I honestly can say it was the worst and best vacations I have had, on one hand I got to watch some spring ball, be with my family and watch my oldest daughter’s eyes light up when she got to meet the Disney characters.

On the other, to watch my baby have a miserable time on a hospital bed tore me up. It was an emotional roller coaster week.

So sorry you all had a rough time. First baby girl then the rest of you. ALso sorry to hr=ear about the job. I hope you have found something new.

Thanks all

No job yet, I am 3 weeks from finishing up a degree in college. Its hard to find something that will work with my schedule and that will offset the cost of daycare. I have interviewed at a local university a couple times for a position that pays well, hoping to hear back from them real soon. If they welcome me into their ranks, I will be booking another trip ASAP!

We want the vacation we dreamed about! Just can't anticipate when someone will get sick...
