Ok, haven't been here in a while. Working as a travel agent now. What better way to see Disney. Anyway, we have been to Disney many times but not on the Disney cruise. We want to plan a trip when the crowds are low, Im thinking January. But I am also considering a 4 night land 3 night sea cruise also. I need help. we can't decide between the two. Im just worried that once we are there for the 4 days, we wont want to leave. Can anyone help me decide? Oh and I forgot to mention, this will be a chridtmas present for my girls 7 and 10.

Fellow TA here - we've done the cruise, L&S and WDW. I really think that the L&S is such a nice balance. Being that we a frequent Disney goers, 4 days at the parks are enough time for us to hit our favs and then three days to relax and truly vacation on the ship is well worth it and a nice way to end the vacation. Castaway Cay is fabulous and fells very "Disney" in an island sort of way. The girls will have plenty to do on the boat, you probably won't see much of them. The kids camps are incredible and will give you some "me" time.

It's really worth doing at least once. Just keep in mind the L&S will be much pricier than a week at WDW.

Let us know what you decide :)

I say do 7 day cruise, minimum land and sea...

Personally I think with you being a travel agent you need to know what the cruise is about.

Me personally 3 days on a cruise is way to short. Just as you get settled you are packing up again to leave.

If possible add 1 or 2 nights before your cruise and hit the highlights of Disney.

We had a great time on the cruise. The best shows on the sea! Its a different vacation from the world - still magical.

Good Luck.

I would do the cruise, either the 4 or 7 night. 3 nights is just not enough time. It goes so fast once you are onboard. Whatever you choose, enjoy and happy planning!!

I'd do the land and sea. 4 days at WDW is usually enough for us. A 3 day cruise is a nice way to start out cruising to make sure you like it. I think it's the perfect balance. Just make sure to price out booking land/sea and booking the cruise and WDW portions separately. If you do land/sea, you can't book the dining plan, so if that is something you want, you will have to book the land sea portions separately. You also get more stateroom/resort choice flexibility if you book separately.
