Anyone else in the MoP beta yet? I heard yesterday that a bunch of invites were going out so instead of waiting to get mine (which came today) I went to the Blizz web site and saw MoP available to download with my other games. Downloaded it and copied my main over to the PTR.
Pretty cool so far. The new talent system is "interesting". Not sure if I like it yet or not. Played for a couple of hours this afternoon. Right now it's almost like release day for an xpac. Too many people competing for quest items and mobs. Respawn rate seems a bit low too. So far only noticed one bugged quest but have seen others in chat mention a couple more that didn't give me any problem.
As a Hunter it feels weird to not have a "dead zone". I keep wanting to Disengage out of melee range then remember it doesn't matter because I can shoot people in the face at point blank range now. I miss my polearm though (it was in my bag now that it can't be equipped).
Might make a Panda this weekend.

No pet battle system yet. No idea when it's coming. I quested on my 85 Hunter for a couple of hours yesterday. Filled five or six bubbles, so going from 85 to 90 will most likely take about as long as 80-85 in Cata. Right now 86 is the cap until they raise it.
I started a Pandaren Monk last night. The scenery and music in the Panda starting zone is awesome. Only problem was way too many people rolling pandas. Got a bit crowded for a while. I got to level 6 last night and went to bed, Got up this morning and added a couple more levels while most of the pandas were still in bed. Going to log in here in a few.
One thing that sucks right now is that when Blizz needs to do any kind of maintenance, the servers come down with no warning and at any time. No countdown like you're used to. They will usually post on the beta forums how long it will usually be. Went down last night for a couple of hours.
My Monk is at level 13 right now. I'll hit 15 in a bit and want to start doing some dungeons. I decided to spec Brewmaster so I can try tanking with him.
One thing that was a bit disappointing ( and a lot of people on the beta forums agree with this) is the way you choose your faction when it's time to leave the starting zone. I don't want to give too much away, but you basically meet up with both Horde and Alliance and do about half a dozen quests for each. You then go back to the Panda boss guy and he asks you to choose. A screen pops up giving you the cliff notes version of the Alliance and Horde, then you click a button and you're off to your new capitol (Org in my case, although I'll probably raise a Panda for each faction once MoP goes live).
It all felt anticlimactic and wasn't as "epic" as it should have been. The hope is that with this just being beta, and enough people feeling this way, Blizz will change it to make the decision a bit harder than choosing between Coke and Pepsi.
Anyone as disappointed in the Diablo III launch as I am. Yes I realize that a lot of people all over the world are logging into the game. Blizzard should have realized this as well, and been prepared for it. Diablo II came out, what, 12 years ago? They should have expected a lot of people logging into D3 today. It's just so annoying!!!
Downloaded the game last night only to find out that my antique video card isn't supported. I guess I assumed I could play on a lower graphics setting as Blizz has always been "older computer" friendly. At least I didn't pay for the game so I don't feel as bad.
Guess I'll be playing/testing more moP instead. Seems like they've smoothed out some of the worst bugs. Crashes seem to be very infrequent now and I haven't seen any major bugs in the quests I've done over the past few days. Just hit 89 a couple of days ago and hoping that they raise the cap to 90 this week.
