After a night at Royal Pacific and 2 amazing days at Universal and islands we have moved to Stella Nova before Epic tomorrow.
I am very excited. I had originally thought I’d be happy enough to take it easy and just do what we could but I bucked and bought express passes. Any tips to make the most of the day?

Grabbed our RoF tix this afternoon. Cannot believe how fast the various multi day EP Passes disappeared. Here tell In area of 18 min, with many waiting in queue while that happened. Yikes

Decided to check room rates for January and discovered B’s room had dropped to 81.20

I haven't seen a rate @ either park that low in ages!

Now, all nights at BW. Woot! No switching and will take advantage of several of those late nights for sure.

Always nice to keep those room changes to a minimum even if used to moving. I'm happy when onky twice per trip

so decided to tack on a few more days, so fun for 9 days before I retire in a few weeks from then. Gotta use up most of my leave. Hehe.

Did you get to ride Monsters Unchained? That is my favorite ride at Epic. Of course I did not get to ride Battle of the Ministry. Will see if that is possible in September.

Yes, both! Amazing we enjoyed all we rode there.

Shows were very cool, so inventive. Really liked the dragon one & meeting toothless even tho a long wait, most in the rain lol

Your granddaughter has the courage of a Lion. I would not have gotten in that area for any amount of money. Those beasts are huge. I don’t care what anyone says one man with a big stick could not control that many monsters…..Yikes……

She's always up for a challenge. I went last, wound up bopping two of them in their heads. There was little urgency shown in eating my them.

The shows their repeatedly stated the fallacy of poking gators eyes to try to escape

They have pressure sensitive spots on head instead. That's where he was prodding them when they got frisky

It was a good slant down to them, repurposed boat ramp I'd guess. When they took the family group pic of us in front of them, I found myself feeling a bit off balance in the slope and felt uncomfortable crouching on the incline.

"nope", decided to just lean down, despite the urging of staff.

My dad lives only about 40 minutes from my cousin that is in the hospital so I will for sure be making a stop to spend some time with him.

We are all getting older and time is precious for sure.

Between the girls' knee surgeries and everything else, your family surely has their handsful! Good luck to all

I figured the coasters would cease, not Nintendo area rides. Anything that ventures outside, basically

Seems like most for early entry got in line for HP or Nintendo. We did monsters first, werewolf down until
8:30 pm.

Went to nintendo land, had the offsite guests running past us (while marveling at the intricate land) on way to donkey Kong. Next time we will not sightsee/take pics until later in day lol

Also, try to avoid traditional mealtimes & stick with food booths vs CS/TS unless u want to have a long break

I was quite surprised to see it that low.
I managed to snag a really low rate for Helios back in January. At the time I wasn’t positive I would make the trip, but went ahead and booked the room just in case.
If anyone is planning to go the first 2 weeks of March, rates for Helios are under $300 per night right now.

Beach time, it was very hot on the boards. Funny, not crowded for a Friday mid July. Got fresh caramel popcorn, and cheese popcorn, coconut macarons and salt water taffy brought home to enjoy.

Today we took a road trip with some friends. We drove 2 hours to go to the new Virginia Buc-ee’s. It was insane. That place was so packed with people that it was starting to give me anxiety. However, the brisket sandwich was
almost worth the chaos. It was so good. I don’t think I’ll make a special trip for it again, but if I find myself near a Buc-ee’s I will definitely get it again.
I decided to get a souvenir T-Shirt and later discovered my friend A had purchased the same shirt.

TGIF!

So warm as left to commute in that still predawn time. Glad shorter week day routine day, as hoping return commute is less long. Yesterday, three lights to get out of the place, with one miss because a truck decided to block the intersection. Sigh. That afternoon commute is one I will not miss one bit.

Ah, much sooner than later, fun to be had before the month ends, and two more road trips for the kids, before those fall trips start with less than 40 days now to that first, and longest one.

Mid July already. Time is flying by. Even DH said, didn’t you just get your haircut, as I came home last night. Had a salon visit last night on my way home, as I like to go that day, as colorful for that weekend almost start. Nope, I said, last one was 5 weeks ago. But changed the day next month, as yay, hair will be freshly refreshed the day before we leave. Woot!

Good Friday morning everyone

I saw that pretty unbelievable. I know the multiday tickets went fast last year. But not that fast.

I did get my ROF too. This is the first year I did not get Express with my ROF. I have decided I’am not going to spend that much time at HHN this year. So could not justify the cost if I’am not going to use it.

I did get my UMH ticket because the times and days I would be most interested in went fast last year so did not want to chance being shut out on that.


You all are brave for sure. Knowing what I know about Gators I just could not turn my back on them much less be that close to them. I saw the biggest of the beasts in the very back. It is a monster. Yikes……Yes….the wrangler knows what he is doing, but just no…………..LOL………glad to see you all were enjoying yourselves.

My daughter in law likes Buc-ee’s. My son always has to stop there when they are on their way to Florida. He says he always end us up spending at least a hundred bucks at Buc-ee’s…..LOL.

I have tried the brisket and it is good.

My sister K and I are leaving for our cousin D’s husband funeral early in the morning tomorrow. It’s about 4 hours from here. Then right after the funeral we will get back on the road to head to our dad’s house for a visit to see how he is doing. Dad lives about 3 hours from where my cousin D lives. We will also visit our cousin S who has been in hospital.

Will be a quick trip. Will head back home Tuesday.

I took my car in for usual maintenance yesterday morning then noticed that there is a message about my cars SIM card and a message from XM radio that I cannot get off the screen of my navigation system. I have never had this happen on any of my other Cadillac SUVs. Now I have to take it back to dealership this morning to see if we can figure it out.

Also have a pedicure appt and hair appt today. So will be a little busy today.


Sending out get well thoughts and prayers to all our Sans family who are ailing.

That’s us home after an amazing 2 weeks.
We had 3 days between universal/IOA and 1 day at epic.
Thank you for the tips,we had a great day. We were very lucky with the weather and only had a delay late in the day. It didn’t actually rain so we could use that time to walk around and take in the portals and get good photos. As soon as it was over we headed to Mine Cart as it was a 50mins wait. Unfortunately they had technical difficulties so we ended up waiting almost 2hrs. We didn’t mind because it was at park closing and it meant we had done everything.
Dark Universe was our favourite. Loved Monsters.

I've enjoyed catching up on trip reports and recent posts here.

We're leaving for our Magic Kingdom and Universal trip in 11 days. We'll be at Disney first, which means I have four days until I can spend an outrageous amount on the Premier Lightning Lane pass. We haven't been to MK in over a decade and probably won't go again until there are grandkids, so I want the trip.to be special.

Getting nervous about Epic from all the reports. My husband may buy the express for all of us, but I wish it covered Mine Cart. I have mostly accepted that I won't try to ride the HP ride, unless I wait by myself or with my daughter while the others take a break. I'm trying to decide where and when to eat at Epic. I wanted to eat at the Toadstool, but I hate waiting along time for food and I'm not sure I can convince everyone of an 11 a.m. lunch when early entry is not until 9 a.m. I am happy though that Epic will be open to 10 p.m., so I can see Dark Universe when it's dark.
