Well I just canceled my WoW account a week ago. I just haven't really been feeling the desire to play. I feel like I was playing more out of obligation rather than enjoyment. I still have about 3 weeks left before it completely closes out but I don't know at this point if I'll start back up again. I may log in just to give away my gold though.

I'm gonna hold out and see what the reviews are with SW. Will just stick to ps3 and computer non-MMO games until then I think.

Personally, I'm very interested in how they are going to be able to be both Horde or Alliance. Plus, I really like all the companion pet changes that are coming. There will be a lot of Disney names in there for sure considering right now I have 163.

I'm playing it now. Its a really solid game with a lot of meat when you get past the initial it plays like WoW. My advice, find a well populated server, and have fun.

MMO's are going to have a tough time. Folks are becoming bored with them. I played Lotro for about 3 1/2 years before I moved on to WoW (didn't last long because of the low populations) and then Rift. Now, I'm with a great guild and one of the leaders in it. The odd thing is I can't tell if I'm getting older (35) or if I just don't want to play video games anymore, because I think about doing more and more in RL. Its strange. I love the people I play with for the hours I play (late PST), love the game, love the raids, and yet, I think more and more about just walking away from gaming.

Sorry, I think I'm tired and now I'm rambling ....ahhaha

I tried to do the annual pass thing as soon as they announced it, but the site was bogged down.
I plan on still playing Wow and then SWtOR and Diablo III.

I got the annual pass after an hour of trying... i figured what's to lose?

Thew new expansion looks cool, and I am anxious to see what they will do with it.

many of my friends left wow for various reasons... but now they are all coming back.... they all said "they missed the socialization that WoW brings"

Seems like so far people either seem to love or hate the idea of the new xpac. It's been that way since the name became public a few weeks ago. I like the idea of the new Asian theme, and the Pandaren are a part of the WoW lore so it's not as if they pulled them out of thin air. I also like the idea of them being able to join either faction. I'm guessing you'll have to make the choice when you leave the starting zone. Mine will most likely be Horde but might make an Ally one down the road.

I think one problem with the way this xpac is being viewed is that we have "westernized" the idea of panda bears so much that all we see is "cute and cuddly", and many people think this is going to be the "carebear" xpac. I don't think it will be that way at all.

Go to your local zoo and walk into the panda cage. If you survive, come back and tell me just how cute and cuddly they are. If you don't survive... can I have your stuff?

I figure I'm going to be playing WoW for the next 12 months anyway, and since you can pay it monthly (same fee as you've been paying, you're just locked into a 12 month contract) it was a no brainer. Now I get D3 for free when it releases, a shiny new mount, and automatic invite to the MoP beta when it's ready.

I must agree with this...I even have long time guildies making fun of it...saying whats next..playable Murlocs..LOL...but in all honesty, I think it will be good. As i have said before, this is a 7yo game..it has to reinvent itself to stay relevant and current. Should be fun! I also think my panda will be horde, but will also have alliance as well

I know what youre feeling. I played UO prior to care bear land. I payed for about 2.5 years. After I quit, I didnt MMO for 9 years.

Now, Im in WoW. The newness is definitely gone, but I still am having fun. And that is truly what you all should be thinking. Are you playing out of habit, or because, "it is fun"?

Something else to remember. MMOs suffer from maturity. The game grows beyond story, beyond patches, etc. Most of the game is been there done that. People just move on. WoW did something that was considered forbidden in MMO terms, and that was to wipe and start over *the Cataclysm*

I personally think it fell short of a potential. They essentially replaced the old game with a New old game.

I like what they are doing with some of the new content. I think they should have done this with the previous races. Some of the biggest complaints are the Racial differences in PvP. The Extra trinket for humans, the AOE crowd control for Tauren and Blood Elves. These translate to huge advantages over other races in a drilled down PvP (Arena)

The factions should be the original 5. Any new races should be allowed to choose what faction from here on out. Drania, Belves, Goblins, Worgens and now Pandas should all be allowed on either faction.

The only reason we still play WoW is because, there isnt anything new. Someday, down the road, the new MMO will supplant WoW as the big MMO. That road may be The Old Republic.....

Grats on the mount. I got one on my Mage last year, so it figures the only toon to have one drop so far this year is my Mage
