The World’s SHORTEST PTR… May 29 - June 4

Good chapstick and sunscreen?? :confused3

I would love to have info on the autograph scrapbooks and their creation! Can I get them BEFORE you leave on Friday? :lmao::rotfl2::lmao:

TOTALLY kidding - I can wait til ya get back! :thumbsup2 But you gave me a good start just by saying 'cover a book.' How fun this will be! :woohoo:
I'm going to a friend's house to work this afternoon, but I'll try to take pictures as I do the kid's.

If I use black mat board, I only cover 1 side of the book.

HOWEVER, I couldn't find my black mat board and have to use white, so I will be covering both the FRONT and BACK. :)

Awesome! Thank you!! :thumbsup2 I would offer to look for black mat here but I don't think I'd get it to you in time?? You are literally going on a moment's notice! I think that's my next goal... to experience an 'impromptu' Disney trip!

I would consider getting an AP for myself but our December trip is on a package, so that's out of the question!

My SIL just measured DD at 38" shoeless, but I don't know if she did it 100% correct. I doubt DD was standing up tall or had her head up right. I'll re-check tonight.

Standard tennis shoes add anywhere between 3/4-1" in height regardless... we'll just have to see! And she has 2 pairs of tennis shoes... I'll see which one is thicker! :rotfl2: (DISCLAIMER: one pair is a standard pair of Nike sneakers, the others are KMart Disney Princess sneakers - I'm not going to go buy new shoes...)

I have always wanted to do Rafiki's but I know you can't take a stroller back there (they're not allowed on the train) and we frankly have not had time. Heck, we wanted to do FOTLK in September and just didn't make it.

The Dragon waterfall is a sculptured waterfall in AK near the bridge that takes you to Camp Minnie-Mickey. If you don't know it's there, it's easy to miss. Look here.

Cool, huh? ::yes::

Well...you could get that AP - and hold on to your tickets from your December package to use another year. I am sort of doing that when we go for free dining in August - I'll keep those two day tickets for my husband should he join us in any of our "year of Disney" adventures.

I know you don't want to buy shoes, but I wonder if you could find a higher heel flip flop? Though at that young, they may not have them. Then again the trend towards slutty clothes might be in your favor :lmao:

The dragon waterfall is way cool - and I can't believe we've never seen it! Now I am going to have to seek it out!

:faint: This is a SHORT PTR? You're already on PAGE 2!

(*sigh* Do ya think anyone will notice that I'm page 2 stinkin' late in signing on to this PTR????)

Have a great trip to the World and tell Mickey that I'll forgive for cheating on me; if it is only with you! :thumbsup2

Hi And THANK you for my special invite:goodvibes

your trip plans sound great:woohoo: very well thought out:thumbsup2

I will be looking forward to seeing how your little ones do with the bigger rides like Soarin and others to see if Landen will like them.
I would too like to see the auto graph book covers last trip i put my pages in a 4 x 6 photo album I printed pages from the creative disigns.

How long is the drive?

When things are a bit bumpy it nice to be able to go to our happy place:goodvibes

Do you kids know they are going to WDW?

Looking forward to reading more.

Oh man I am jealous!! For a last minute trip it sounds like you have everything sorted out already! Take tons of pictures because even through your PTR is short I fully expect a full TR upon your return :rolleyes1 .......

Those autograph books look awesome. I like to be crafty but I doubt I could be crafty enough to make my own books for the kids. With my luck they would fall apart when we got there. :(

But I am super excited for you! Enjoy your trip!

QUESTION:

Do you own, have access to, or even know what a Crop-o-dile is??? :confused3

Hi And THANK you for my special invite:goodvibes

HEY! You inspired the whole thing!!! ;)

I'm trying. I think it helps that I was already keeping up with things for my buddy, so making the transition into going wasn't that big of a step!

DS did Soarin' and TT and Splash last trip (September). He LOVED Soarin' and TT... after the first little drop on Splash, he looked at me and said, "I don't like this." :scared1:

All I use is plain white cardstock and I punch holes in it. Then I take the autographs out of the book and put them in our trip scrapbook. I'll try to take pictures of them tonight. [adds to rapidly growing list]

How long is the drive?
It will be about 18 hours each way.

Do you kids know they are going to WDW?

Yeah, my friend's kid spilled the beans the other night so we went ahead and told them.

I should have done a paper countdown chain... DD looked at me last night and said, "Mommy, are we going to Didnee Wurd?"

She groaned when I told her no, not yet.

If you have EVER covered a book or wrapped a Christmas/birthday/random present, you can do it.

A full trip report will happen! I promise!

Okay... I need to write this down somewhere so I don't forget...

My TO-DO list:
  • work until 2:20p
  • get kids from my parent's house
  • go to bank #1
  • get replacement tail light for my car (though I'm taking DH's car)
  • drop paperwork off at bank #2
  • laundry
  • feed snake
  • finish DD's autograph book
  • cook dinner
  • run over to high school to shoot regional track meet (should be done in 30-45 minutes - only need 6 GOOD shots)
  • convince car that the "Beast" would look REALLY nice in the trunk
  • grocery store (water, snacks, etc)
  • pack

And the answer to this question would be :scared:

Common sense tells me it is an item that 'crops' things... :lmao:
It's a combination paper hole punchers, rivet setter, and other general purpose crafting tool... thing.

If you haven't heard or seen one, I will modify my instructions so you don't need one. :goodvibes
