The words siggie and ressie...

Oh God, Sammie. Miss Fancy, the lady I used to work with, loved the word sammy. And sally or sal sal for salad. THat combined with dibby dab to indicate a small amount. So for lunch she'd tell you she wanted a dibby dab of sal sal (or sally) and a dibby dab sammy. :crazy2:

Is it any wonder I was half out of my mind at that job on a 24/7 basis?
Yes, but you had the best stories! :rotfl:

Oh, and add me to the list of people who actually say "woo hoo!" in real life, but only when I'm really excited.
See my last tag...I'm backing away from your dancing banana before I get points. ;)

As to the cutesy words, I don't use most of them, but I try to overlook it when others do. It's harder for me to overlook spelling mistakes, etc, but I try not to get my panties in a bunch over them, either. I do use DH, DS, etc sometimes. I'm too lazy to type out the words all the time and if I called my husband or kids by their names most people wouldn't know who I'm talking about. As for typos, I'm forever making them...I might tease someone about a typo, but it's always in jest. And I've been teased plenty about mine.

That's different. You're actually refering to a group of boys so "the boys" is appropriate. Think of it as using the phrase "the wife" (all the time) rather than "my wife" or "DW", something like that. That's what people are annoyed with.
I DETEST the term 'the wife' when some guy is talking about his wife. I'm certain that she has a name, so use it!
We can't forget about the term 'the girls'! That has a totally different meaning then just talking about some females! :lmao:

Oh now watch it about the girls! :rotfl:

"The sweetpea" makes my ears bleed.

Ressie, vaca, siggies, Cindy's....blech. Are we all 2-year-olds??

Pooh sized. Are you kidding me?

Do these words make anyone else :scared: ? I don't know but I can't stand either of them. :lmao:

I can not stand either of those "words" but ressie sends me over the edge! Now that I think about it, the wife and hubby are right up there too! :headache: :scared::crazy:

P.S.
I also don't use the DD, DH, Dwhatever.

TheSweetPea = :scared:

Creeeeeeepy!

I am not a fan of that one either-its just odd.

Also on my list are
Uber
"we're" pregnant
Furbaby- blech

"the girls"
hubby
Sammie (rachael ray makes me want to pull my hair out when she says it!)

Oh, I probably say alot of things people hate, but I must go on record as a hater of:

methinks.

What's up with that one?

I think it is cute. But, I like the sweetpea and I like her mom.

I called my oldest son sweetpea. He's in college now, but I still call him "Pea."

I've never had a problem with that one either. But then again, our daughter's nickname is "The Bean." I'm so glad I haven't used it on here. I know I'd be really upset if a silly nickname was the target of so much disdain. :sad2:

I can't decided which is worse "fluffy" as an adjective for fat or "fluffy" as the cutesy name for farting.

Especially if it were one that I really felt was special to me. You mean someone is making fun of someone's kid's nickname or something? I don't get why anyone would do that.

Yes, there's a really nice poster on here who calls her child "The Sweetpea." I'm with you. I don't get it either. There are some things that should just be left unsaid.

I call one of my kids Honeypie and the other Sweetiepie. I guess I should start referring to them that way here just to annoy people.;)

I don't mind "siggie"

I do mind "ressie"

I detest "Aunty" and I will never make my kids call my SIL that :sad2:
(no offense to anyone that uses that)

I hate LOL. I don't mind an actual smilie that is "laughing out loud" (as long as it's not overused), but I hate when people pepper their posts with LOL. Drives me nuts.

It also bugs me to see "dinning" for "dining." :headache:

Oh yeah, add "pooh-sized" and "fluffy" in there, too.

What's with the Racheal Ray speak on the dining board and other places?

Why is breakfast now "breakie" and a sandwich is "sammie"?

I hate those the most.

Another vote for "fur baby" here, if I was on line at the grocery store & I heard someone refer to their fur baby I would back away:scared: :confused3
Yummo really annoys me, but in general Rachel Ray annoys me.

Siggie is cheezy;) , ressie doesn't bother me, but I am in the restaurant biz;)

I can't stand them either. I also hate it when people refer to Cinderella's castle as "Cindi's castle" It's like fingernails on a chalkboard.

I've never heard sammie or breakie but trust me when I do, I might have to put them on ignore. :rotfl2:
