Hey everyone!

I have a question from my sister and I! Where in MK can you find the wooden leg named smith (taken from Jane and Micheals joke from Mary Poppins)

We are very curious although we wont be there for a few months to see it!

Thanks!

I have never heard of this (other than the movie) What exactly would I be looking for? A real wooden leg??

"You will see a leg and an umbrella. Linda Montgomery (WDI lighting specialist) had a replica of Mary Poppin's umbrella made to put up on the shelf. The prosthetic leg came from City Hall lost and found. "

Thanks for the site and info. I have to tell you when I read the post above, I almost fell off my chair laughing  Can you imagine that the leg came from City Hall's lost and found!!! You would think someone would notice such a thing missing :jumping1: I just can't stop laughing!!

Thanks for the help! I will have to check it out next time!

does anyone know the actual joke as my MP trivia is foggy thanks

It is when they are visiting Uncle what's his name. . .and they are having tea floating up and the laughter makes them float higher. And he says, "I once knew a man with a wooden leg named Smith." And I think the kids say "What was his other leg's name?"

My memory is sketchy, but I think that is correct.

You know what it funny -- we are watching mary poppins as we speak! I love the movie! You got the joke right -- a little off on wording - but funny just the same!

:teeth:
