Great pictures! I had to laugh at Buzz's "rock" fingers. My kids were doing that constantly in pictures in Disney World.

You guys visited a lot of places we never made it to on our last two trips to Disneyland. Hook's Pointe and the outdoor fireplace being two of them. I'm going in search of that fireplace on our next trip in December.

It's some kind of sauce they put on there. I didn't eat it, but it sure looked pretty.

Yeah, but see your kids were doing it. Buzz is over 40 and doing it.

That fireplace is right outside the bar and you get a nice view of CA. There is a grassy area that my kids played at later. It's very nice!!

Thank you!! It's not a night out if we're not showing our tongues. I had a friend in high school whose tongue was so long she could touch the tip of her nose. She's do that at times when we weren't supposed to laugh-like during a test. I'd look over at her and she'd touch her tongue with her nose and I'd crack up laughing, then I'd be out in the hall taking my test for being disruptive...

We get up the next morning, having slept in. It felt great! The parks don’t open til 10:00 and since we’re right on site we can sleep in a bit, unlike WDW where Buzz sets that annoying alarm to play Revelie at 7:00 am. I hate that!! We can enter the parks an hour early since we’re guests but we’re not too worried about that today. Sleep is Buzz’s main priority.

I’m getting ready when LA comes in and says, “I wish I would’ve brought my lipstick!” This makes me giggle a bit and she asks if she can have some make up so I give her some. She informs me I don’t need to put it on her, “I know how this works,” she says. At 6 years old…

We had a mini fridge in our room. Trey is eating all the leftover pizza. Buzz points this out to me, but as usual, I’m oblivious to the meaning of it and the impact it’ll have on us later.

We head downstairs and Buzz can’t remember if our character breakfast at Storyteller’s is today or tomorrow so he stops in to ask. It is tomorrow, but they can seat us today if we want. We want. We get seated right away.

Unfortunately, Trey ate all that pizza so he’s not really hungry. I hadn’t thought about that or I would’ve suggested we just eat at Storyteller’s tomorrow. Too late.

We sit down and hit the buffet. I load my plate up good. The bad thing about being low carb is it’s hard to find snacks I can eat so I’m perpetually hungry on this trip. I loved the sausage, eggs and ham. The buffet had so many other tempting foods, but after my gummy bear fiasco, I opted to stick with meat. I get some food for Trey, but he’s clearly not interested in it. Our waitress is good, but a little slow. We needed straws, but she never came back to check on us until we were almost done. Oh well. The meal really dragged on. Trey was starting to bug and kept kicking his legs in the aisle, probably hoping to trip someone and cause some excitement.

Eventually, some characters started to come out and I think to myself, “Lame!” We’d never even see these critters before. I do see one I recognize-it’s Chip or Dale. That’s when we learned that Chip has the brown nose, Dale has the black nose. Or vice versa. I never even noticed they were different before. I thought they were identical. So we wait for them to come our way.

A bear comes around and we get his picture. Then I see a raccoon sneaking up on LeeAndra. Now this guy was funny! He took Trey’s hair and made it all stand up! It cracked us all up! Then he kept trying to sneak the kids’ plates away from them. He was very entertaining. Chip came around and a bear did too. We were starting to have a really good time now! Trey perked up when that raccoon messed with his hair. He loved that!

But all good things come to an end and we left. We took a bathroom break outside DL and then moseyed to the lines. We forgot we got early entry in so we were extra happy to be ushered right through the lines! Staying on site is cool!!

We walk around, trying to figure out where things are. It’s a lot different than MK. We ride Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, which Trey loved. I kept shrieking (for his amusement) so that got him revved up. We hit the Matterhorn. That was fun, but rickety. It really knocks you around! Then Buzz Lightyear. On this one, you can take your gun out of the holder and have some leeway with aiming it. Didn’t matter-Buzz still beat everyone. I came in 3rd behind LA. Trey came in last. He got 1200 points. I’m not sure how that happened because he just spun the car around. Never shot his gun that I ever saw. Then Star Tours and then Space Mountain. SM was sooo much cooler than the one in Florida! For one, you get to ride side by side. The music they play is awesome and the ride itself is smoother and crazier! We loved it!!

Then we go to Adventureland and do Indiana Jones and POTC. I thought that POTC would never end. It’s definitely longer than then one in MK and not in a good way.

Indiana Jones was awesome!! The theming of that queue line was incredible!! It did take awhile to get through the line, but the kids were totally fine with the waiting. Very worth it! It’s sort of like Dinosaur in AK, but less scary and more themed.

Now we’re thinking about lunch.

Sounds like a great start to the day. WE thought the MAtterhorn was awful and if we had wiated in any length line for it we would have been . Indy is definitely funner (is that a real word ) than Dinosaur and I too thought POTC took forever. SM was being refurbished when we were there, so I can't make a comparison.

I thought POTC at DW was to short and not in a good way. I love POTC so much better at Disneyland. Though I think the line themeing is better at DW.
