The Woman Report- Update 4/24 Final Thoughts p. 74

First. Now I have to comment eh?

I see you mentioned you lost the DVDs twice. I know your exact feeling. I have misplaced things before and I had that pit in my stomach knowing that I put it in a good place so it would be safe but I guess it was safe from me too!

I am looking forward to your fast-pace TR and hopefully lots of pictures!

We took tons of pictures!! ;)

second.

Sounds like you had a rough start to your vacation. Hopefully things got better. I guess the lesson is that flying into Denver anytime from September through June is a bad idea. You never know when the weather might be bad. I hope you didn't miss your flight out!

And Buzz.... WAKE UP!!!! You missed the partay on my trippie last night!

Things got MUCH better!! :)

Lin pretty much "nailed" it. Kudos!

The only thing I would add is that she was turning on lights all over the house in search of her stupid Simpsons DVD's so I noticed a huge 3 foot cobweb dangling from a light that is never turned on. I pointed it out to her to "help" her with her housecleaning but received a stern rebuttal instead of the praise I deserved.

Well get to cleaning it. It's still there!! I found another one too above the kitchen table. Get after that one also!

You started your TR, I am so thankful, my TR has about 2 installments that will be done this week then it is over. I will have your report and Buzz's to keep me occupied!!
I gotta get caught up!!

Sorry to hear about the tongue sprain :rotfl:. I could see my hair not only going white from living with Buzz, but falling out too .
Gee, I never thought about mine falling out-I hope that doesn't happen, but if you hear what he did last night.... it might be starting to fall soon....

Mrs.K said:
What is up with your family and coats:confused3 ? Did they think DL moved to Alaska??
That's what I'd like to know!! :confused3 I need to do a Buzz intervention on LeeAndra-you're right-it has to be NOW!! :rotfl:

I wonder if Jim would like this in August..would you be willing to call my house at 4:30am DST

Sure!! I could be the Disney Wake Up Caller. It's not exactly Mickey, but it'll definitely get people out of bed!!

Glad your TR will go quickly!! Those stallign ones get confusing and LOOOONG after a while. I hear there was even one TR over on the board that had to be closed and restarted in a part 2, it was so long.....:rolleyes1

I heard about that guy too!! Must be some nut. :confused3

WooHoo. Here we go, Let's get this party started.
Funny, Buzz didn't say anything about you imitating him???? :confused3
Gotta luv those airports and all their security. You will probaly find thoses DVDs now that you are back home. Where are your pics?

That is funny Buzz didn't say anything about me imitating him. Hopefully he didn't delete the picture of him sticking his tongue out. I'll have to post it if I can find it. Sometimes he gets rid of the ones of him that are bad, but he always keeps those dumb ones of me.

Ooh, I hear you about the obsession of losing things. I've been known to go CRAZY when my dd loses parts of her toys that are sets (like 1 shoe, 1 lego, etc) I can turn the whole house over looking for stuff...

Speaking of, we're missing two different white shoes for her little teensy princess dolls (like polly pockets)... and I am still looking for 2 different puzzle pieces. Yes that's what I've done today is sort toys and puzzles, instead of my real job (the one I get paid for)...

Nice update Lin!

Are they by any chance in a different suitcase? Or put with Christmas decorations?

I quit looking for the DVD's. More to come on that later. I go nuts when the kids are missing parts to their toy sets. I've had to do "therapy" on myself and not obsess over them. Unfortunately, Trey is going through a phase where he throws things away. He threw away the salt & pepper shaker, our Mickey wine cork, plates, bowls, his Game Boy. I practically have to go through the garbage before I take it out to make sure there's nothing valuable in there. I hope he stops that soon. I think he thinks he's being helpful...

Ugh, an extra hour in the plane.

Otherwise, nice start! I agree with whomever said that the security is sometimes slower in the morning because they tend to have less agents working at that time.

Can't wait to find out what comes next!

That extra hour was brutally long!! It gets better though! :wizard:

Linnie! Thanks so much for the post card! Annie got it today. She couldnt believe that Mickey sent her a card. She hugged it for a while then put it under her pillow for safekeeping! :goodvibes

:goodvibes That is so cute!! I'm glad she liked it!! Blue sent our kids some and they were so excited! I love to be able to pass along the "magic." :goodvibes

Did you ever find the DVDs? :confused3
I hate being starving like that!
Thats great about you singing in the morning. :rotfl2:

I did find them! I wasn't going to say anything b/c it's part of the trip report so I'll save that for the end!

Hi,
Glad you got your report started and glad to hear it will go at a faster pace. :rolleyes1

I lose stuff all the time and I live in a 450 square foot apartment.

Glad the coat was found.

I hate circling in the plane. Hate it.

Looking forward to more.

It'll go much faster than Buzz's! I need to check your's out! I'm behind!

I hate holding patterns.
botched landings are worse though.
Maybe you put the DVDs up high somewhere?:confused3
Wearing 2 and 3 coats :rotfl: Glad I live in Vegas!

We cleaned the garage yesterday and I found another coat someone gave Buzz. All he needs is another coat! He's got about 40 of them. He's like I am with shoes.

 Well I am just like you and everybody else when it comes to misplacing things. With me it is usually jewelery. I will be wearing a ring or a necklace and will take it off and put it up somewhere so that my cats can't get at it and play with it. I always intend to put it in my jewelry box when I head to my room but I always forget and then a few days later I want to wear it and can't find it, the end result being my tearing the house apart looking for it. :headache:

I would go crazy if I lost jewelry! :scared1: I finally had to put mine up high b/c Trey was getting into it and moving it around.

I get frustrated when I lose stuff too.

That's great that you all slept. I sat the little kids with me so K would be less cranky on the plane, but I ended up crabby. :headache: Oops!

Mexican Flu... you can't say that here. You'd get in big trouble. :sad2:

Buzz gets so crabby when he's travelling, I call him "Airport Buzz." We don't wanna see Airport Buzz-he's mean!

Yeah you've started :yay:

Sounds like a bumpy start, what a pain about the DVD's, have you found them yet? They'll turn up just when you least expect them!

Glad the coat was found quickly, you don't know what they'll do with missing stuff anymore

Glad you all got some sleep :thumbsup2

I find them-I'll explain toward the end of the TR. That sleep on the plane was very comfortable for some reason.

Linnie, thank you so much for the post card!! It came today, and the kids were SOOOOOO excited.
You're welcome-glad they liked it!! :goodvibes

I didn't get a postcard ... :confused3

I needed your address. PM me and I'll send you one of beautiful Montana!

Hi Linnie,
Just checked the mail and got the postcard today. Thanks for sending me one.

You're welcome!!

Wow, Linnie and Buzz...
You really went overboard with all the cute postcards you sent to our family! One for each day? It's too much! Thank you though!!!

:lmao:

Gosh, I see the error of my "only read updates and skip the chat on Buzz's TR." ways now. Looking forward to more.

Yep!

Wow. Linnie that was nice story about your Dad. :goodvibes He only called in sick once?! Incredible. Hail to the Cheif.

I wrote a poem about him a few months ago and I called it, "Hail to Our Chief." Yep he only called in sick once. My mom actually called for him. He was never sick until he got COPD. Long after he retired.

What a great and inspirational story. I admire our postal workers, they work really hard, especially because they have to deliver all the mail on foot. I just wish we could mail letters directly from our house like you can in the States, I'm lazy. ;)

Gee, I wouldn't like that either-It's nice to just stick mail in our box and have it picked up.

Morning Jo, We are kinda spoiled, I guess with our mail system. Those guys are good, but not many like Lin's Dad. I did see a story one time about a guy that worked for Ford his entire adult life without missing a day. For his retirement Ford GAVE him a mustang and the serial number (VIN) on it was 0001.

I think the service is declining. I talked to my dad about it once and he said the same thing. The workers don't seem to be all that dedicated anymore.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I'm still waiting for my huge box of souvies!

Keep waiting Chickie!! :rotfl:

Government employees don't work on the weekend :confused3

Ohhhhhhhh.....I missed an update! Already!

Wow - you're fast Linnie.

I'll be catching up on updates this evening

I'm gonna speed this TR right along!!

It depends on the job of the government employee. Some do, some don't. The days off of the postal employees are every Sunday and one other one during the week and it rolled through the week. Like the extra day would be Monday, then the next week Tuesday, the next week Wed and so on. When it got to Friday, my dad would get a 3 day weekend. I don't know how it works anymore.

Boring! ;) But I believe you had my address from Christmas? Jeez!

I did and I wrote in somewhere on this TR that I probably put my addresses away with my Christmas stuff and didn't have time to get them out before we left-that's why I needed the PM's.

Beautiful Montana is not boring!!

Well, ok, maybe it is. It definitely does not compare to Disney! :thumbsup2

That's okay. I do remember you saying something about a PM. I just didn't remember the putting Christmas stuff away. My bad. You can make up for it the next trip to Disney ... ;)

Would you like a postcard from Ocean City, Maryland?

Trip Report started.
Looking forward to all the excitement from DL. I have never been.:wizard:

My dad was a mailman, a very dedicated one actually, in all of his 30 some years of service he only called in sick once and I remember it vividly. I now have all his pins for safe driving, accumulated sick days, excellent service etc. My dad was a very loyal person and it showed in the career he chose. I have nothing bad to say about the postal service-I know how complicated it is and how challenging it can be.

My dad eventually worked his way up to management and we were all so proud of him, we started calling him "Chief" (my brother's nickname for him) and it stuck with him there after. One of the hymns he chose for his funeral was "Chief of Sinners Though I Be." :goodvibes He had a good sense of humor. Not bad for a guy who dropped out of high school in 1950!!
I got teary eyed reading this. I am Daddy's Little Girl. Thanks for sharing this. Your Dad has left a wonderful legacy.

Linnie,
Good start

Looking forward to hearing about the rest of your trip, :thumbsup2

Hopping to get some ideas before our next trip to Disneyland :woohoo:

STOP posting pictures on MY trip report Buzz!!

:sad2:

I do want to warn you all that this is going to move along a lot quicker than (*cough*) somebody else's (*cough*) trip report.

I don't mind a slow pace :confused3 :teeth:

Lin said:
I put them somewhere where the kids wouldn't ruin them and immediately forgot where I put them. :headache:

I've done that with Christmas presents and found them months later :rolleyes1

Lin said:
We didn't have time to eat anything before we boarded. Well, actually, we might have, but Buzz didn't want to go through the line at the snack bar so we didn't get anything. We were starving.

Oh no...that Buzz

Coming next: Popcorn for breakfast! Nutritious and Delicious!!

Nothing wrong that popcorn::

Woohoo...I'm ready for another installment :yay:

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight

Ssshhhhhh don't tell anyone we went out Friday night for a chicken dinner :thumbsup2 at the Plaza Inn.

It was a totally therapeutic trip, Boot Strap was there providing his normal comical entertainment :rotfl2:
