Ok I'll be honest, I didn't read all of the posts. I tried hard though.

Thank you to all who posted questions and answers. We are very excited about our trip and June.

Happy New Year!

We have a standard view room booked-now the kids want bunk beds-does anyone know if they available in standard rooms??And a ground floor? Have a sleepwalking issue. Thanks.

There are only rates for Woods-view and Courtyard-view for bunk beds.
Sorry.:sad1:
Not sure about the ground floor for those two views.

Hey gang, I've been away from the boards for a while...........Question= has Ranger Stan officially retired or is he still working a limited schedule? Unfortunately I've not been in contact with him this year.

From what I understand he is still working a limited schedule.

Thanks. I actually read my booklet & it did say that, so.....I called after my post & upgraded to woods view ground floor-have an issue w/ sleepwalking & don't want to chance a balcony. CM told me they would email my change but nothing yet-so I tried going on the website-it's down. We'll see!:goodvibes

How much is bottled water at the store in WL and at some of the theme park stores?
Also, is the tap water decent in the rooms?

He is retiring this year. September to the best of my recollection.:thumbsup2

Hi All,

We are looking at staying at WL from may 16 - 25. Woods View is what we are going to chose. Can I request to stay in a room facing MK and tell them we would like an opportunity to maybe see the castle and some fireworks????? Do you think woods view would qualify for this or even be honored?????

THANKS!

You can also see the fireworks from the public balcony just above the carport, where you unload your luggage. And no one seems to go there to watch them.:thumbsup2

Does anyone know any companies that make deliveries to WL? My DD 4 will be taking her 1st trip there this May and our DS will turn 1 during our trip. I would love to have a basket delivered to them. Thanks for all the great information and reviews everyone!

The CM I spoke w/ said to have a king bed room w/ full bath, we'd need to book woodsview, would that be right? Also, any tips on what woodsview room area to request? Any help appreciated, we're still trying to choose btwn WL and CBR. Thanks!

Oh, no! I love Ranger Stan!

Well, his retirement is well-deserved, but Disney will be losing a wonderful CM. It was so nice to talk to him when I last took his tour. Now I will have to seek him out and congratulate him!

Can't WAIT to go back to the Lodge tomorrow!!! I need a nice relaxing weekend.

Hey--does anyone know--I booked a Woods View room; last time I got one it was on the north end of the resort, 5th floor facing the MK and you could see the fireworks through/above the trees (that was a year and a half ago). Do you know if it's still possible to see the castle and Wishes from rooms on that side, or have the trees grown up too much? If so I want to request when I check in.
Thanks!

Just to clarify, if you want a bunk bed room, you have to specify that and pay extra -- assuming it's available. (I wouldn't want you to be disappointed if you choose a regualar woods view expecting that it will have bunk beds.)

Have a wonderful trip.:)

On the first page of this post, it lists that the boat that goes to Magic Kingdom starts only 1/2 an hour before park opening. Is this true?! This seems very late for those of us that would like to get an early start on the day.

It was for us in Oct. If you have an early breakfast ressie, just take the busses. Worked out just fine for us with an early breakfast at CP!

Thanks-being that we have never stayed there before we are still learning about the resort. I did call & upgrade to woods view & bunk beds. I didn't realize that standard didn't have bunk beds...I did see photos somewhere bunk beds standard-not sure if they meant the view or what? Still learning.:goodvibes

for the poster who was wondering about checking in for Southwest. They were able to check in for us and print our boarding passes at the front desk. We were supposed to fly home to N.H. on Dec 19th but because of the storm we flew in on the 20th.

Southwest and Disney were very accommodating and although we switched resorts (the price went from $209 to $480 a night at he WL on Dec 19th) everything went smooth. We were able to get a room at POR for $128 on our last night.

For the PP's that were wondering about WCC. I have to say it was by far the best meal I had the entire trip! We also ate at Le Cellier, Chef Mickey's and at the 50's Prime Time Cafe. Chef Mickey's was our second favorite dinner. We thought Le Cellier was overrated and 50's prime was decent but not much selection.

We had dinner ressies for WCC at 5:30 pm and the canyon skillet was awesome especially if you like BBQ food. The brisket and the chicken were good and the pulled pork, Mashed potatoes and corn were very good!

My wife said her chicken pasta was decent but that she was disgusted by how much I ate...

Thanks for that info...we are flying SW & we were wondering about checking in too. We aren't bringing laptops with us & I wasn't too happy hearing that HS has a place to check our flight in 24 hrs before....
