Just back from our first ever trip to WL, and 1st time ever staying on property! (been to WDW many times, but always stayed with family in the area). Had a GREAT time, and loved everything about WL! We had courtyard rooms overlooking the rocks to the lobby side of the pool - could sometimes hear pool noise in the early evening if we were around, but usually we we so tired when we got to the room we dropped into bed immediately and noise was never an issue!
had connecting rooms with my parents - we had our 4.5 yr old and 19 mo old with us. Only issue was the missing Pack n Play when we checked in but they had it up to us within a few minutes.
I second whoever said that the bus to MK is the best kept secret - one morning I was the ONLY ONE ON IT!! DH and DD waited 45 min that day at the ferry dock so I can say that he was frustrated with the ferry service - bus was DEFINITELY faster. I hate boats so it was the way to go for me - did the larger ferry once, and that was enough for me
Roaring forks was great, I loved the refillable mug!! got all the milk and bagels and stuff we needed at the mercantile for quick room breakfasts for the kids. mousekeeping was great, we had towel animals every day in both of our room and we were encouraged to take them home at the end of our trip which my DD loved!!
even by the end of the trip I was still getting a bit turned around with the 37 differnent ways I could get to and from our room, but the walk wasn't bad. loved watching the electric water pageant each night - man, it is LOUD though -- and we took the girls to watch it from our beach one night. big hit!! Loved the "quiet pool" and hot tub - I forget what the name is but I loved having that empty hot tub after a long day in the parks! we hardly had time to explore at WL and I know we will be back - all in all a great experience, and thank you for this thread, I did a ton of research in advance! Happy to answer any questions now that I am a big one-time seasoned expert
