Is there a boat from WL to the TTC?

My husband and friend think that would be the easiest way to get to Poly to watch me come by during the marathon. (Poly is their favorite spectating spots.) They can avoid buses, and therefore road closures, if the boat goes to TTC because they can walk to Poly.

There is no boat to the TTC. What you can do is take the boat to the Contemporary and from there take the Resort Monorail to the Polynesian.

First trip to the WL is coming up!! A couple of quick questions....

We have ADR's at Chef Mickey's for 8:20am. If I'm reading correctly, taking the boat would be the best option? Can anyone give me an idea of what time we should be prepared to head to the boat dock in order to make it in time?

When I made my package reservation, I didn't see any options for a room request, so I'm guessing I do that during my online check-in?

At what point should I make a request for bed rails?

I might have more questions later, but this is what's burning my brain at the moment :)

I just booked the new tour at AK for 9:00 a.m. I'm wondering if we should take a cab so there's no chance of mistake getting there. Any thoughts on bus transportation to AK or what time I would need to be at the bus stop to get to AK by about 8:30 a.m.?

Honestly, I would probably check with the front desk for options. If you wanted to do bus I would go at 7:30ish and probably take the Character Dining bus to AK.

Not entirely sure though.

Brian

The boat to the Contemporary starts at 6:45 AM, so I would try to be at the boat dock before 7:30 AM.

1. I would definitely take the boat. They leave every 20 minutes and the next stop in the CR, so 30-45 minutes would be fine.

2/3. If you want a room request you can call CRO and have it added to your reservation. I believe you can also request the bed rails that way, but I am not sure of that.

Thanks! I will ask the front desk, but at this point, I'm leaning towards a cab.

I booked a breakfast at CRT before the park opens - 8:25 AM. After reading the suggestions, it sounds like I can either take a bus to MK or take the boat to CR and then walk from there. Am I correct on that? Which one is quicker?
Thanks!

I'd definitely take the bus.

I would take the bus to the Magic Kingdom.

I know it's a 10 minute walk from CR to MK.

We are going 1st time to the fort may 27 to june 4th ,It looks great I hope it is as great as it looks. Takeing our grandaughter for 12th birthday...:surfweb:

I booked the Hoop dee doo review show! I've never been and thought I'd take advantage of WL's proximity to Fort Wilderness. We have a 7:15 pm show. What time should I leave WL? I believe there is both a bus and a boat but I'm leaning toward taking the boat - but let me know what you think!

You'll love HDD! They put on a great show and the food is great and don't forget about the unlimited beer and wine;)

You'll probably want to get to the FW marina by 6:45 so I would head to the boat by 6:15 in case you just miss the boat and have to wait the full 20 minutes. The boat will drop you off very close to HDD, it's only about a 2 minute walk from there. Definitely take the boat and not the bus.

Have a great time! I know you will:goodvibes.

More newbie questions.....:)

We will be arriving on late Sunday morning, and planning to head to Epcot after checking in. Would it be better to take a bus, or drive to Epcot seeing as how it would be mid-day by the time we head there. Keeping in mind we are 2 adults, a walking 5 year old, and a 2 year old in a stroller.

In our package we purchased a 1-day park ticket, and then bought Florida Annual Weekday passes for the remainder. What will I get from WL during my check-in? Will I need to get to the TTC before heading to the MK on Monday? If so, is it possible to walk to the TTC from the WL?

When going to DHS and AK, is the bus the best option?

Take the bus to Epcot after you check-in.

You will get your KTTW card which will have your one-day passes on them and charging privileges, if you so choose. They will also give you a folder with a park schedule, WL map, a park guide, and schedule of WL activities.

You can not walk to the TTC. You can only walk to the TTC from the Poly. Are you asking because you need to exchange a voucher for your FL resident passes? If so, this can be done at the Guest Relations window at the MK. The easiest way to get there from the WL is to take the boat.

The bus is the only option for going to DHS and AK, unless you drive yourself or you are already at Epcot or the Epcot Resort area and want to walk to DHS on the walkway.

Yep, that's why I was asking. So Guest Relations is at the front of MK where the boat drops, and I won't need to go to TTC for that?

That's what I meant, sorry - better to take the bus or drive? I wasn't sure which would be less of a pain with two little kids in tow. Parking is free at the parks for resort guests, correct?

At the MK, you will first have to go through security (or not if you have no bags) and then go to the right of the entrance turnstiles to the Guest Relations windows to exchange your voucher. Vouchers can always be exchanged at any park or the TTC.

If you park, you'll still have to take a tram to the entrance. The bus will save you one step. Yes, parking is free to resort guests.

I hope you have a great vacation!
