The Wilderness Lodge and Villas FAQ (Part 7) Simbas and Tiggers and Humphreys OH MY!

We're here now. We have a standard room (6060) and can see half of the castle from the balcony. If they would trim 1 tree, we would have 100% view. It is over the parking lot by the smokehouse. I have heard a few trucks backing up in the am, but it doesn't wake me up. We could watch all of Nightastic fireworks from our room. THe pool is a bit smaller than I would have thought, but it hasn't been overly crowded. WE are fans!

It sounds like you have a good view! If you have a chance (or if anyone else knows), could you let me know if they have yogurt for sale in the pantry section of the store? If they do have some, do they have any kid friendly kind like yogurt tubes or Trix? Thank you so much!:worship:

Great pictures! We had the best time meeting
Hi everyone!!! We really should put another DIS MEET together somewhere! I'm always ready! You know funny, thing I thought the DIS meet would be a quick hi how are you, and stay for 30 minutes, WRONG! We stayed, I believe over 2 hours! Everyone was so nice and it was fun talking about the DIS threads!

Sorry some of you could not make it. I would have loved to meet some others here. Maybe at the next DIS MEET, huh? lol

Brunette

I agree, "hands down" (LOL) it was one of the best times of the week there. I also thought it would be a quick hi, down a Dole Whip, and nice meeting you (glad it wasn't). Instead, it turned out to be a great time of conversation, joking, and telling of stories. I'd love to do it again sometime. :thumbsup2

As for talking about the threads, What's said in WDW stays in WDW. You already have a dousy of a thread going on now. :rotfl2:

They do have the same yogurt in the Pantry and Roaring Forks. $1.99 for the single serve strawberry. I'm not sure if they had the tubes as I didn't look. Sorry. :flower3:

CAn you tell me if you have the solid balcony?

Currently working with a TA to book our next WL stay! I loved loved loved our first WL stay from the sound of the brook in the lobby to the ducks swimming in the pool when it was empty! I seriously cant wait to go again!

Thinking of staying next year in a Junior Suite. Does anyone have current pics of this particular suite? Are the ones on allearsnet.com current? Its just that the one TV looks abit dated. Thanks

Please bear with me, I'm probably missing something very obvious. I called and booked a courtyard view room, and when I got my printed reservation, it read "courtyard view (JC)". Does anyone know what the (JC) means? I feel like I'm missing something. It was all so fast -- I had a standard room and called to apply the 40% off discount, but they didn't have any standard rooms left so I went with the courtyard view, but I think I might have missed something the CM said...my cost still went down $410, so I think I'm happy, but I'm wondering if I should keep calling back to try to get a standard room at the discounted rate. I'm not that interested in the room itself, and I'd like to save as much as possible, even though this is a splurge for us. On the other hand, dh has accepted this price, so maybe I should just go with it? We're going for marathon weekend, so I'm not sure how much is really available, anyway. Also, we're both running (on different days, I'm doing the Half and he's doing the Full), so I think we might really like having the balcony and view to relax with after the races...Sorry if that's TMI...

JC is simply WDW resorts' booking code for "Courtyard View".

Keep checking the resort booking website periodically for your std. view. People cancel all the time, especially before the 45 day window for packages and the 5 day window for room-only bookings.

Good luck running! If you haven't already seen it, here's a WDW running site:

Thanks! I feel better now, I wasn't sure what I had booked! This is our 4th year at marathon weekend, we've stayed at POR and CSR in the past, so I am looking forward to something different. :thumbsup2

Isn't Disneyrunning Robert "Ultramickeymouse"'s website? He was on Team Ohana with me for a couple of years. I also met him at a marathon weekend WISH meet. Very nice guy!

We are heading down for our first stay at WLV in 17 days  (THANKS for all the fantastic info on this thread!!) I have an ADR for Akershus on 9/8 at 8:30, and was wondering what the best way would be to get to Epcot and how early we need to leave?

TIA!

Hi, folks! Happy to say that we're heading "home" to the Wilderness Lodge in February.

I was wondering, my memory fails me, is there a microwave available for use in Roaring Forks?
