Did we go to the party anyway ? Yeah, we did. And we were about as much in "party" mood as you can expect it. Jessi wasn't talking to me. Alex wasn't talking to anyone.
Boy were we glad we were spending $50 a piece to "party" together.
The tickets were waiting for us at will call in Grumpy's name so she went to get them. I talked to a lady who had seen Jessi and Alex's "first visit" buttons (pinned on their bag) and wanted to know where we'd gotten them. I directed her to Town Hall.
The party had actually already started, and people were already waiting for the parade. Grumpy said she wanted to really see it from upclose this time but she can't sit on the floor if there isn't anything she can lean on.
"How about a trash can??"
I swear you've never ever seen anyone so excited about a trash can. Even Push. Finally we'd found a way for Grumpy to be able to wait for a parade without going Quasimodo.
Grumpy & I sat down on the curb, with Grumpy leaning on her beloved trash can. We named her Trisha. The scary thing is this is not the first trash can we've baptized.
Guess what ? Jessi and Alex didn't want to sit on the curb and wait with us. They weren't that crazy about parades anyway.
I suspect - in Jess's case - that the only thing she's "crazy about" is fitted sheets.
We didn't even blink an eyelid. Fine, go do whatever you want. Grumpy gave them her cell so they could call if they wanted to meet or whatever.
Our spot was accross the street from Casey's and I know Grumpy loves hot dogs, so I offered to go get her one. Didn't think there was anything there I could eat but when I was in the place I saw a lady with a cup of little round thingies and asked her what they were. Corn dog nuggets she said. Try them with mustard on. I figured if I didn't like them Grumpy'd eat them.
OMG they were so good !!!! How did I live 29 years without ever tasting this delicacy ?
We had made ourselves some custom shirts for tonight's party and kept getting compliments from people. Grumpy's especially was a hit. It said "I'm a princess, deal with it!!!". Since I couldn't decide between princess and pirate, I put a crown on a pirate's head and declared myself a pirate princess.
Jessi & Alex had pirate shirts with quotes from POTC on them.
We had a great view of the parade. Grumpy kept telling me to just enjoy it and don't bother taking pics, but I had to. Grumpy went nuts when she saw the dwarves coming and even got to high five Doc !!!! She LOVED it !
Very bad pic, sorry, but we loves us some dwarfies.
The princes and princesses first came out.
And then our favorites, the pirates !!!!
Here comes Johnny !!!!!!!!!!!!
The Mouse himself closed the ball.
This was an awesome parade and when we come back for Spectro our one goal is to find Trisha again and finally get to enjoy that parade from upclose. Who knows, I may even be able to get a decent pic of it for once.
After the parade, Grumpy surprised me BIG TIME.
"Let's not go meet them yet."
Wow. I guess they must have really gone over the line this time.
"What do you feel like doing?"
"Maybe it's the hot dog talking, but I kind of want to do Stitch."
Double wow. Grumpy hates Stitch almost as much as Hannah Montana. But I sure wasn't going to argue.
Hmmmmmm, chili dog !
This show is so disgusting. I love it

I wanted a T-Shirt but couldn't find any in my size. That bugged me. Next time I'm buying the biggest size they have, and I'll get into it somehow! Poohs love Stitch too.
When we came out of the shop we bumped right into Jessi and Alex.
Had they seen the parade ? No, not really. They'd gone to look at Astro Orbiter but decided not to ride. And then they'd gone to the bathroom.
Do they know how to party or what ??
It was time to grab a spot for the fireworks and we told them about our "secret" spot. They came with us but when realized that they'd have to stand, they decided to go somewhere else.
Earlier they had not wanted to sit, and now they didn't want to stand.
