She had a migraine. She's had them since she was a teen and I know how nasty they can be. I was more concerned than mad, but at the same time upset that we were once again heading back to our resort and wasting an entire evening.
We went into the Boardwalk resort and Grumpy went to the restrooms in the lobby to bring back a cold washcloth for her forehead. When Jessi gets a migraine she tends to really crash, and it almost turns into a panic attack, especially when she's in public. Grumpy had been carrying Lexomil in her purse - it's an anxiety medecine that Granny takes and Grumpy had taken them for the plane trip, she usually slips me one so I leave her alone and sleep. She gave Jessica one and we waited to see if it'd help. But after 15mns of sitting in the lobby of the Boardwalk she was still feeling awful and we headed outside to ask for a cab.
Grumpy was looking really glum. I knew she'd wanted to see Wayne and chat with him.
"Look, do we have to ALL go ? She's gonna go to bed anyway. What are we gonna do to help besides watch her sleep?"
Jessi heard us talking and said that we in no way had to go back with them. Stay, enjoy yourselves. She even told Alex to stay, too, but Alex would have none of it.
So we put them in cab, gave them money for the ride and for dinner, and I told Alex that if they needed any help, if Jessi got sicker, call the front desk and have them call paramedics. They took Grumpy's cell phone and left.
We went back to Spoodles. When Jessi had started getting sick, Grumpy had gone back in to cancel our ADR. I hoped they could still fit us in and they did. We begged to be in Wayne's section.
He had his back to us and was explaining the menu to another family when we sat. Then he turned around and faced me. The look on his face was hilarious. I wish I could have gotten a picture.
"YOU !!!! And YOU !!! Give me a minute please, these people here, we're almost related."
We've seen the guy twice in our lives
It was great to see him and catch up. Grumpy was very happy.
We had a great meal and chatted a LOT with Wayne, exchanged phone numbers and emails (he's coming to Europe soon and I hope we can meet up!), and took some silly pictures. I took me three tries to get a decent picture of these two !
TAKE 1, AKA Open your eyes, Wayne!
TAKE 2 AKA WHAT THE HECK???
TAKE 3 - SCORE !!
We wanted to get decent seats for Fantasmic, so we couldn't stay very long. We paid, hugged Wayne goodbye, and left.
The Epcot boat was just leaving when we arrived and we missed it, so I killed time by taking pics of everything and anything.
We called Alex who said Jessi was in bed, and she was going to the hot tub for a while. Then whenever Jessi woke up they'd order room service.
Grumpy & I went straight to the Fantasmic theater and got great seats in the center area. I had bought glow bracelets on eBay and had brought them along tonight for all of us to enjoy. Since there were only two of us, I passed them along to all the kids that were seating next to us. Hey, why pay $15 for a glow thingy from the cart when your kid will be just as happy with a 10 cents glow stick ??? By the time the show started, everyone in our area was glowing. Grumpy & I chatted with a Canadian lady who was here with her son. She'd left her husband at home because he was too lazy and a pain to have around at Disney. Hmm that sounds familiar to any of you ???
Being close is great for pictures, but we got splashed !!! When the show ended and everyone rushed to the exit, Grumpy, the Canadian lady, her son and I stayed behind and waited for the masses to leave. They took the bus to AKL and we went back to CSR.
Jessi was awake when we got back to our room. She was feeling much better, but still a bit tired. They had ordered burgers and wings for dinner.
Alex was coughing a lot. She said she'd gone to the gift shop but couldn't find cough syrup. Since Grumpy & I wanted to go fill our mugs anyway, we offered to go and get her some. While we were at it, we got cough drops and some cold medecine too. Better be prepared. And because they hadn't had dinner with us, we bought them a gift card. This way they could get anything they wanted without having to ask one of us to pay for it. Even silly stuff.
We had quite a lot planned the next day - Animal Kingdom in the morning, with a before-park-opening ADR, then a very early dinner and Pirate and Princess party that night. Too much ? We couldn't manage to do the stuff we had planned for "light" days.
Of course, it was too much.
