Ok,I'm getting use to the idea of cubside checkin with my E-ticket,but that still doesn't help me for my return trip. Should I use a copy of my E-ticket(I have many!) to get my boarding passes? Running around Disney trying to find a computer and printer just isn't anything I want to be doing. Can I just go to the counter at the airport with my E-ticket and get my boarding passes?
:scared1:

Man, I know what you mean!! It has taken me forever to get used to E-ticketing. I still take them to the gate with me, just in case:) . What airline are you flying? We have flown Song the past couple of times and they have been really easy to use. I'm thinking we'll use the curbside check-in this time also. When we got to MCO, for our return, we used the automatic kiosks.(at least I think we did!!) But, as far as I know, yes...you can just go to the counter. It's all in their computer.

I know once I actually go through the process,I'll laugh at how easy it is,but right now,I'm not laughing!!!!!

AA, JetBlue, Delta or Song, I just show up with a driver's licence and credit card now, and I might have a computer printout of my e-ticket or itinerary. It is good to have the Itinerary number handy, which would be the main (or only) reason to have any kind of printout.

If I can, I'll never go back to paper tickets again. Just curbside with your driver's license and credit card and you're on your way. Wheeee!

It is still a good idea to have a copy of the itinerary/receipt/confirmation with you. Once in awhile something in their computers is messed up and having something that is human readable helps.

You don't have to pull out the itinerary sheet right away, your license or other picture ID is enough practically all the time.

We're flying Spirit Airlines out of Detroit Meto. I recently assigned our seats and printed out our boarding passes for both legs of the trip. This is my first doing this - the few times we've flown in the past - always thru a TA with actual tix.

Now my only question is whether our airline has curb-side checkin for our luggage. I guess the worst case scenerios is we'll have to stand in the regular ticket line to check our luggage. But I am still a little anxious - doesn't "feel" like we have real tickets (yet).

mco had curbside check in during easter , we just came back again 2 weeks ago and i was not checking luggage so i just used the checkin machines for southwest and printed my boarding passes right there and had no problem getting" A " boading pass.

Ok so let me get this straight.

We check in curbside and then head directly to the gate? No counter..........no lines other than security check point? Cool!

Basically, all of the options cited are available for getting your boarding passes with an e-ticket. If you have luggage to check, curbside check in is the easiest, but you also can just go to the counter or, in some cases, use the self-service kiosks. Printing your own boarding passes from the Web site isn't really a timesaver if you have luggage to check, so I wouldn't even consider that as an option.

If there's no luggage to check, my experience is that the self-service kiosks are great, but you also can use the main counters if you prefer face-to-face interaction. Online boarding passes are great for this too, but certainly not worth hauling yourself all around WDW to get.

You should have a copy of your e-ticket receipt (not just your itinerary) available, but usually it's not needed. If you have tickets under multiple record locator numbers and/or members of your party have tickets under different last names, you'll probably want to point that out to ensure that you get boarding passes for everyone. Again, usually not an issue but something to be prepared for just in case.

You guys are GREAT!!! I now know EXACTLY what I need to do:

I check my 2 suitcases cubside,with license and/or cc
(E-ticket confirmation/receipt/itinerary in my pocket )
And tip the person who takes my luggage
Then go to the security line!!!!

I think I can handle this!!!!

I'm gonna guess its the same routine at MCO when I come home!

THANKS!!!!

Me too!!! :bounce:

It's the simple things.................

Yes, that is exactly it. You get your boarding passes for your return trip when you go to the airport to leave from the skycap when you use curbside checkin at MCO

It's so easy.

and what's going to happy to your pupdog while you're gone?

My brother and his family are going to "vacation" at my house. I live about 5 miles to the beach so that's what they'll do during the day. And,they can bring their dog,"Louie". Usually,I kennel my dogs, but I have a very old Doberman(12 yrs old) that would have a hard time doing 2 weeks in a kennel.

Good to hear pups will be treated well at home.

You live 5 miles from the beach! I am so jealous. I live amongst cornfields. Altho, lately, the cornfields are now mini lakes with all the rain we've had.

I get to see a beach once a year if I'm lucky. Have fun in Orlando, and hope the weather holds.

If you are flying SWA is not only a great time saver but, a great way to have a decent chance of an A or B boarding pass.
It is a definite advantage.

The only receipt I get from SWA when I book online is a printout of the Itinerary with the confirmation number on it. I feel assured it is acceptable, as I have never had a problem.

I show my license to security but not my E-ticket? Got it!!

You will need your photo id when you check in at the curb or counter. You will need your photo ID and boarding pass when passing through security.

You know, I am SO proud of you!!!!! We got you to book online and now you are checking in online and have all "your ducks in a row". That is AWESOME!!!! Way to go airhead. :)
