Disclaimer :scared: : Okay, let me first start off by saying that I am a cheater. Yes, I couldn't come up with my own title so I kinda combined some previously used titles from amazing trip reports that have been previously told here on the DIS! Kay7979 and AshClan, I really hope you don't mind me not being creative because a lot has been on my mind and to sit down and think of a title is just more stress. Besides - I think this title suits be quite well! :hyper:

Me. Yes, this is me. My name is Chris and I am 21. I am "THE" yes "THE" Disney Dork! :snooty: (No flames please, all in good fun!) Everyone knows me as the guy who wears the ears "EVERYWHERE" yes "EVERYWHERE." In fact, I have been known to wear them to take exams - there like a good luck charm. :scratchin I talk about Disney all the time and I am sure my friends and parents get tired of hearing it, but who cares! I try and spread the Disney magic. pixiedust: I love all the characters and movies of Disney but I am not to fond of Peter Pan. :sad1: My favorite movie is The Little Mermaid. This will be my approx. 8th day trip to the Magic Kindom. :disrocks:

Stephanie. This is Stephanie. Stephanie is 29 and a mother of an amazing 11 year old. :rockband: Stephanie has overcome all odds. ::yes:: If I had to write an article about her the headline would read something similar to this "Obese Teenage Mother Overcomes All Odds - Returns to School and Now 160!" Please, don't take this the wrong way. But when we met she was rather large and this was mainly because she never lost her baby weight and had a tough marriage before getting a divorce. :crazy2: This really does it to ya, let me tell ya. Anyway, she was aroud 360 - I believe she said. Well, as said below - she had to drop out of school because of her son, but she returned and is now in Nursing school and has a strong grade point average at that :grouphug: . She is rather new to Disney, with one previous trip as a child. She loves all things Disney even though she doesn't remember much. My best friend! My life long friend :chat: !

Disclaimer :scared: : Did I bore ya yet? :faint: Forgive me, I am rather new to this!

Episode 001: Background

Most of you may know me by now. If not let me introduce myself. My name is Chris and I am 21. I am currently a junior at the University of Central Florida majoring in elementary education. :teacher: It has always been my dream and passion to teach. :duck: I am aiming more towards primary elementary, with first grade being my focus. I currently hold a four point zero grade point average, but it hasn't been easy. When I was a child I thought becoming a teacher would be one of the easiest professions - boy was I wrong.:worried: However, I do not regret it for it is my passion and life long dream. In the past year, I transferred from a community college and felt what life in college was really like. In my opinion, community college was easier than high school. I recommend that if anyone plans on attending college and has finanical issues - start off at a community college. It is easier and cheaper.

In August of 2003, I entered Daytona Beach Community College. Yes, Daytona. It is here at which I met my best friend - Stephanie. Stephanie, what can I say - amazing! No, I can't say that because it doesn't give her justice. Stephanie is more than amazing. We met in a math class. She just returned to school after eleven years and just recently got her G.E.D at the time. I helped her through math, etc... and we have been practically inseperable ever since.:thumbsup2 In fact, we took 'several' and I mean 'several' classes together. Some include: Introductory and Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra :scared1: , Statistics, English 1, English 2, Oral Communications, Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Psychology of Adjustment, Drama Appreciation, and I believe some more others that I can't think of. We have helped each other along the way. If anyone plans on going to college, may I suggest you find a good friend and study buddy early on. It really helps. :wave2:

Oh, just to let you know. Sometimes when they say you graduate from a community college after two years - their not telling the truth. :sad2: It actually took me three years because an advisor guided me in the wrong direction. :scared: However, it was fine because I did graduate.

In August of 2006 I transferred to the University of Central Florida. Stephanie was extremly upset. :confused3 I was happy to be moving on but sad at the same time. Heck, why were we sad? I would still be seeing her each and every say! Instead of attending the Orlando campus, I would be attending the Daytona campus which is practically right next to Daytona Beach Community College. :crowded: We would no longer be able to take classes with each other but still thought we would see each other all the time. Unfortunity, this was not the case. :crazy2:

As school started, I noticed that life at a university level wasn't so easy.:sad1: Becoming a teacher felt like hard work to me and took up a large part of my time.:faint: Over all the course work, I had to complete four five hours of volunteer service. Wow, what a rush. However, I do not regret it.:hyper: I finished that semester tired, stressed, and emotional. But I did get all A's. Yes, I got an A in all of my 6 classes! Stephanie graduated that fall semester and was accepted in the Nurisng program at Daytona Beach Community College where she would start in the spring

As spring approached we knew we would both be super busy and would have very little time to each each other. Which is why we wanted to take a trip to Disney. :drive: However, things came up and we never did get to go. :sad1: So, we set a date to go during the summer of 2007. Would we make it that far? No, why? Cause were going Saturday! pixiedust: Anyway, back to the story. Stephanie had to get a large loan because Nursing is not cheap.:furious: It was so expensive to get all her books and supplies, jeez! Spring approached and we were both in classes. As expected, we didn't talk for sometime except on rare occassions when we met up at Barnes and Nobel to study.:duck: This past weekend we went to the mall and out to lunch. Stephanie is starting her clinicals this week and my midterms are this week. However, next week we are both on spring break.:beach: At the same time, Yes! So, I proposed we escape reality for just one day and go to Disney now. She was so happy and approved. :clown: Therefore, we are going to Disney on Saturday! Yes, it is only one day because we have other projects to do throughout the week - but at least were going, right? :confused3

Below is a link. There you will find three different slide shows. One of them features me throughout the ages. One is from a previous trip to Disney with my sister. And the last is Stephanie and I on the Daytona Beach. This was taken some time ago so we don't look that good - and the wind was horrible!

Episode 002: Tickets and More

The more I think of it, the more happy I am to be attending the University of Central Florida. ;) Last semester the school started selling theme park tickets at a cheaper rate than you pay at the gate. :joker: When my sister was down I purchased Universal Islands of Adventure tickets for only thirty-seven dollars a piece. This was a great deal and we used them. This semester our school must have gotten a tab bit smarter. :flower3: They started selling Walt Disney World tickets. :wave2: They are priced at fourty seven dollars a piece and that is a great deal, in my opinion. Usually if you want to pay at the gate it costs an arm and a leg and sometimes an ear or two. :rotfl: This would be awesome because we can save the rest of the money for extra goodies in the world. :hyper:

Yesterday was a decent day. After my morning class I had several hours before my late afternoon class. Therefore, I went to student government and purchased these tickets. pixiedust: Just like that. :p Were going to disney! :worship: Okay, I am going to get a bit off topic here, so please deal with me - but it does relate to the report.
:offtopic:
I am a long time visitor to the parks. I love the designs on their tickets; however, I am especially in love with these newer ones. Have you seen them? I am to afraid to scan them because I dont want them to get messed up right now but I sure will describe them. :thumbsup2 :upsidedow

One of the tickets is a picture of Cinderella on the stairs to her castle and the prince putting the glass slipper on her. It is so cute and sweet. It also reads "Where glass slippers always fit." After I read this, I totally said that this ticket is so for Stephanie. It reads her completly. princess:

Now, the other ticket features the class Mickey! My favorite. It features Mickey, Minnie Doald, Goofy, and Daisy, and the three little ducks. Mickey is signing in their autograph book - so cute. It reads "Where everyone screams at the sight of a mouse" ::yes:: pixiedust: :hyper: That is so me. Where is that mouse? :scratchin
:offtopic:

Okay, so we know have our tickets. I know almost all about the Magic Kingdom, where we will be going, but I have been asking several questions on the DIS. :disrocks: One of the questions was pertaining to dumbo. We both have never rode this. :rolleyes2 We want to but we are scared and embaressed. However, I have come to the conclusion that were going to ride it wearing our mickey ears and all. After all, isn't everyone a kid at Disney? :cool1: The other pertained to the tiki room. We never done this either and I have heard mixed reviews. Some say it is great to relax while others say it gives them a headache. I guess to each his or her own. We are not sure if we will be doing this or not, but time will tell. :)

My family is going this summer to the mk. I plan on wearing my mickey ears on dumbo too! I'm 18 btw lol :rotfl: But your right, everyones a kid at disney! It would be a totally different story if you were at your neighborhood carnival :rotfl2:

great pre trip report so far!

Episode 003: Off We Go!

Well, I just woke up. :yay: Yes, I am super excited that I am up rather early because were going to Disney! I spent the night at Stephanie's so we can head out together. I slept rather well. Who the heck am I kidding, I didn't sleep a wink! :scared1: But, I am super excited. I am now - showered and dressed. I have my bag on my back, my laynard on, and my mickey ears on my head - yes, I am a dork, indeed! :rolleyes1
I am now waiting for Stephanie. Women are take longer to get ready in the morning, which is very understandable. I had/have a sister and a mother so I certainly understand. She is getting read now. We plan to leave soon. :wizard:
As soon as she is ready - we are out the door and on the road. We plan to get there early. She want's to see the magic, as do I even though I been there so many times. :teacher: Today, I am going to put my teaching skills to work and teacher her how to DO Disney! :scared: Is that even possible in a day's time? Well how about, teacher her how to do the Magic Kingdom. :sad2: Nope, still wouldn't have time. Therefore, that is another excuse to plan another trip during another school break. :cool2:
Okay, well I am going to get going. We plan on hitting the parks the entire day. I will report back tomorrow afternoon. When I report, this will be moved and I will complete the report with millions and millions and millions (well let me just say tons :confused3 ) of photos. :)

Walt Disney World, here the heck I come!
