The What's On Your Mind Thread and the Countdown to Opening Day

I have trouble spelling certain words. Like I will ALWAYS spell them wrong.

Thank Lard for Spell Check.

Some kids in my class have no English skills. They can't spell, capitalize, or anything. I think they are texting way too much. xD

There are kids in my class who do that as well. I text sometimes and when I first got my phone, I did it a ton, but I think if it coincides with schoolwork you are doing it too much or just don't understand the fine line between texting and an essay.

My grammar is ok, but I think because my sentences are so complex and I use a lot more writing techniques than most kids in my class, grammar is hard for me.

same i love writting i am eiather gonna be an english teacher or an author so i enjoy writting. I have the highest average of my grade too :P but when i write my essays or stuff my sentences are long with lots of puncuation and verbs and adverbs and all that good stuff. They are more advanced than the usual sentence so thats why my grammar isn't so good :(

I text 24/7 but my grammar is average, if not above (:

That's because you are a genius. ;)

I think I would fail writing essays without spell check. Subtle is one word I have trouble with because I always want to spell it as suddle.

They cross that fine line all the time.

Spell check is the greatest invention ever. I just wish my phone had spell check.

I can't spell "definitely".

I keep trying to put an "a" in there. I know there isn't one, but I keep typing one anyway.

I want to be an author too! :) But that would be a side thing. I have an A- in English and I'm in Honors as well and so far, I'm definitely getting honors credit for all the classes I have Honors in. If I did it for all my classes, I would get honors for all of them as well. Its pretty awesome :cool1:

We are reading the Witch of Blackbird Pond. that has to be one of the best books ever!

I write Fantasy and SciFi. Sometimes I'll do Realistic Fiction since it sometimes comes easier for me, but mostly Fantasy and SciFi. Yeah, my English teacher is very much the same way. He'll teach us the stuff, but expects us to really learn about it by looking through the 50 billion pages of packets he gives us. He needs to be better about re-enforcing. He still is pretty funny though. We laugh so much in his class.

I always have problems with the word "receiving" because it doesn't follow the "i before e" rule :P

First show for Fiddler on the Roof, my school musical tomorrow! EEEEPPPP!!!!!! Very excited :)
