Dinner tonight will be the cheeseburger salad on PW's site. Sounded really good to me and the kids! I've got everything except the buns for croutons, so I'll just use some regular bread for that. Then, I don't have to leave the house today! It's a jammie day for sure! I think Timmy and I will snuggle in my bed and watch movies all day!

Would you please give a review on this? I looked at it on PW and was sort of . I didn't know what to think.

P.S.-I'm in my jammies too.

So the car has been to get its second opinion and both came back very close... The independent garage told me that it could not guarantee Acura parts and that I would be better off going to the dealer.... (I have never heard of this, David thinks it is just too much work for him)

Anyway, not I have to spend more $$$ than I wanted to but hopefully everything will be fixed.

I am getting very nervous about tomorrow, I feel like someone has punched my in the stomach.

Hi ALL!!! Happy New Year!!!

I am proud to say that I am about 75% finished with my End of Year procedures. It wasn't near as bad as I was fearing. Actually they all went very easy. I am SO glad!! Hopefully I can get caught up here and be a more active participant. I really miss you all when I don't get in here.

Awesome! So glad things are moving fast for you.

I am not going in again today. I need one more day to get better. I think it may be some sort of virus, because of all of the symptoms I'm having.

I have no idea what dinner will be today. I haven't thought that far ahead.

Alan comes home tonight. Can't wait! I talked to him this morning, and he's exhausted, and dealing with his own version of our head cold. Unfortunately, he's a man, and won't hear of taking something to help him out. I told him to get some Nyquil and take it as the plane is taking off. Should help him, and the other passengers on the plane. However, being a man, he'll tell me he will, but then he won't, and he'll come home all miserable and spread his misery around. Guess I'll have a slug of Nyquil waiting for him here.

Gotta love men. Hope he doesn't spread his misery throughout your house when he gets home!

Would you believe I've not cooked at all since Christmas?

Life is starting to settle down into 2012. Between Christmas, New Year and going away for a 2 night mini-break, its been pretty much rush, rush, rush over here. I still have until Tuesday before I go back to work; so I'm trying to make the most of the down time.

Went and saw the boys last night. Ethan and I watched The Wizard of Oz and Liam slept. I did my dardnest to wake that baby up - no way!! I swear that is all he does is sleep. He is growing like a little weed though and changes every time I see him.

Stephanie is feeling great. We went and bought the nursery furniture over the weekend. They have some painting to do and then the nursery will be put together. I can't believe how the time is flying. They are (heck we all are) getting very excited.

It is a balmy 55* here today. It is suppose to be in the 60's tomorrow. I just walked to the Post Office and saw 3 people in shorts. But it isn't snowing so I will take it.

I am not sure when that caught up to me but it was fun while it lasted!

I hope you are better soon! My neighbor wnet through a long spell of antibiotics and leviquin was one of the ones that was not strong enough!

You are so right about lady issues and men! I was trying to readjust my MIL so Buddy took off. She did not want to be covered but I had to explain that her big burly tough son was squeamish and would never be able to come into the room if she was flying free

The first semister of school is almost over. In 2 weeks Mr A's has his finals. I think he is sweating it. He has a headache tonight. It is unlike him to have headaches. Hopefully he is not getting sick.

The finals must mean a great deal to him then. He is a good student so he will do fine, he just does not know it.

Dinner is a chicken bake nanatized from the thread. I have mushroom gravy and mashed potatoes and salad to serve with it. BBL!

Well, I didn't want the ribs, and I didn't want the potato, all I wanted was the steak. I offered to cut it in half so we could share. She swears up and down that I took two bites off first and THEN cut it in half. I don't remember it that way.

She does this impression of me going at that steak with a glazed over look in my eye. I always tease her that that's when she fell in love. And that she should have learned right then...don't get in the way of Jen and her meat.

I made a new cheesy bake for dinner. It was super easy and it's cooking right now. It looks good. I'll post pics and the recipe later.

Tomorrow is back to work for me. I know I won't be 100% so I'm planning on making it a paperwork day. Wish me luck!

I have to sahre once again, my nephews served 5 tours combined in Iraq. My sister, love her a lot.........gets her food mostly from Costco and is not a great cook. The guys were here one night shortly after Tim came home and they were EATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Both said they had been looking forward to Gails cooking DH was he said they sure had to be really hungry!

Here was our dinner:

Four Cheese Pasta

16 ounces ziti or small tube pasta
2 cartons (10 ounces each) refrigerated Alfredo sauce (I used a jar of Barilla)
1 cup sour cream
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 carton (15 ounces) ricotta cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided
1/4 cup grated Romano cheese
1/4 cup minced fresh parsley
1-3/4 cups shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese

Preheat oven to 350.

Cook ziti according to package directions; drain and return to the pan. Stir in Alfredo sauce and sour cream. Spoon half into a lightly greased 3-qt. baking dish.

In a small bowl, combine the eggs, ricotta cheese, 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, Romano cheese and parsley; spread over pasta. Top with remaining pasta mixture; sprinkle with mozzarella and remaining Parmesan.

Cover and bake for 25 minutes. Uncover; bake 5-10 minutes longer or until bubbly.

***I didn't have grated Romano, so I used 1/2 cup of Parmesan in the ricotta mix and then more to sprinkle on top of the casserole. I also didn't have fresh parsley, and added 1 T dried.



This was YUMMY. And creamy. Creamy yummy...that's what they should call this.
