Off today to do what I hope are my last gift errands.

WFD- homemade pizza

So Anabelle is at the vet. When I went outside to take her there, my car had ICE on the windshield. ICE! :faint:

Granted, not much, the defroster took care of it after a few minutes, but still....ICE! I don't DO ice!

Good morning everyone! The kiddo has a snowday today, it didn't stop snowing here until about 6 last night. I think we got about a foot, but we had high winds so the drifts are pretty deep. My pup is having so much fun bounding in the snow.

Bethany- Is everything okay with Anabelle? Hope she does well at the vet.

Ann- Those cookies look really good. I made seven kinds yesterday, but I'm out of eggs now. Gotta get to the store so I can make more.

Laura- Glad you all made it back, it must feel so good for Greg to have slept in his own bed in his own house. Hope you all had a great trip.

I better get going, we have lots of sledding to do today. My husband got my sled down this morning before he went to work and I can't wait to play. It's also my puppy's birthday so we need to get him a special treat. And of course I have more cookies to bake.

Don't know what's for dinner, I was going to have beef stew, but I think that's better the next day. I'm pretty clever, I'm sure I'll come up with something.

Good morning everyone!

Laura - Glad to hear your families made it home safely. I'm sure you have a lot of work to do, not to mention, I'm sure your husband would like some of your attention, so we don't expect to see you on much.

Ellen - My kids liked the runzas, but Kenny didn't really. I should have predicted that because he isn't wild about bread unless it is slathered in honey butter. The kids said they were "just like hot pockets". And that, my friend, is a compliment. :goodvibes

And thank you for the card. I would have hung the ornament, but Hailey decided it belonged to her. As do most items in my house.

Lauren - What a cute mental image! T in the tote, being pushed around by his minions. :rotfl: BTW, I showed Mom your card with the boys and she couldn't believe Andrew wasn't 18. She kept saying that he looked grown. I told her he was as tall as me, but still wasn't 18. But she and I both agreed that both boys are just precious (don't tell Andrew though, I know that would hurt his manly feelings). :rotfl:

Wendie - Heavens, Ross has grown. No traces of little boy left in his face at all. Sigh. With your pics, Glynis's, and Lauren's, I'm feeling quite old today.

Janice - I hope you feel better.

Kat - Hailey got your card, but mine hasn't come. Stupid mail delivery. She loves hers, and has had a blast opening and closing it. She loves music and really loves being in control of the music. Thank you so much.

I have an appointment for a hair cut this evening so dinner is take out. Then I need to do some laundry for P & A. Their mother is going to be spending Christmas with Baby Daddy  in PA and has asked P & A to go with. So I have to run around and find real winter coats for them and get them some other cold weather gear together.

Have a great day!

Hi Everyone,

We did make it in safely yesterday and Greg and the kids and I were able to drive home this afternoon.

Welcome Home! Glad that you made it in safe and sound :thumbsup2

Oh....and dinner was Cane's...delivered no less! :D

:thumbsup2 Looking to hear how Annabele is doing after her surgery

Wow! Lots of snow! Have fun sledding!

I feel the same way. I have been following the growth of our WFD kids for the past few years and I am amazed! Now Kyle is in college, Ross is teaching little kids, Andrew is as tall as can be, Katie is a poised young lady, the twins have lost their baby faces and we have Luke, Emma, Timothy and Thomas. Now to mention the cuties we have been able to enjoy on FB.

Will A and P be gone the entire Holiday?

I baked 4 kinds of cookies yesterday and one bombed! I made Pixies and they all ended up in the garbage. I have no idea what went wrong. I also made some awesome ginger cookies if anyone wants the recipe. THen chocolate chip and Daniels Cherry surprise things with fudge on top. Today I will bake some fig thumbprints. I made the dough yesterday.

Buddy took Marisa to the Dr to have her brace adjusted.

Nancy - I agree with you about watching the kids grow up! I haven't been on the thread as long as you, but I still am amazed at the difference in some of these kids!

Meanwhile, I'm still waiting for me to start cooking. :rolleyes1 You see, I joined the WFD and NOLA threads at roughly the same time - last fall. Well, I MOVED to NOLA after being on that thread; I'm waiting for the cooking thing to rub off too! :rotfl:

Morning, all! Sorry about your snowy weather. It's clear, cold and beautiful here. Although, rumor has it that we'll have snow sometime before Christmas Eve. Better get my running around done today!!!

Alan and I went to visit a friend who has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on Friday night. It was a good visit. He has a really good attitude, and his family are very supportive of him. While we were gone, Katie mustered the troops at home, and made her very first batch of roll out sugar cookies. We came home to lots of angels, Christmas trees and stockings. The kitchen was a disaster, but no one was burned, or hurt at all! Hooray!!! She was so proud of herself, and volunteered to clean up.

Not sure about dinner tonight. I have to run to the store, so I'll see what looks good. We had chicken last night, so I'm thinking beef or pork tonight. I have to do all the shopping for Christmas Eve and Christmas dinner. All the gift shopping is done, so now I have to attack the wrapping.

Have a great day, everyone!!!

Bethany – Hugs and prayers, keep us posted.

Robin – Have fun sledding! I’d love to see your pup playing in the snow.:goodvibes

Gretchen – I’m so glad Hailey is enjoying her card.

I’m watching Rod Stewart on Rachael Ray’s show, LOVE him!!!!!!!

Woke up with a sore throat & feeling yucky.

WFD - Red beans & rice with grilled cajun sausages.

Sorry I was MIA this weekend. So much to do and so little time. Ethan's Christmas program was yesterday here at Church. Oh so cute.
It is suppose to snow/blizzard starting tomorrow thru Christmas Eve. We are to get 10-12" of snow with winds upwards of 45 mph. Not good for the travelers. I really hope they are wrong on this one.

Busy, busy busy here at the Church today. We have the preschool program tonight with BloodMobile tomorrow then 5 Parties here. So much fun.

Right now there is no way I will be able to go back and catch up. Please know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers each and every day. I will try to be better this week.

WFDT ~ Angus hamburgers with Blue cheese dressing, sweet potato fries and applesauce.

Make it a great day my friends.

Good morning. Dinner last night was roasted chickens, gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, and eggplant sticks. Tonight I am making crispy salmon with bok choy and asian noodles.

Well, I mailed out the last of my Christmas cards this morning! The farthest that batch is going is to Texas; the rest are all within about a 3 hours drive here in Louisiana so they should (hopefully) all make it before Christmas!

I just got a call from the vet. Anabelle is out of surgery and doing well. I can go get her in a few hours. :goodvibes

Wee bit Disney magic fell thru ma door today.

Post card from Mickey and the gang saying how much they miss us !!

Made my boy (and me ) smile and fill up....

HI all! WOW I received alot of cards in the mail today. Thank you all. You have no idea what just a little card does for me this time of year

I put my cards in the mail I hope they make it to you before christmas. Sorry usually I am more organized.

Vickie I mailed your card early last week so you should get it soon.

Laura, Becky Glad you made it home safely.

Tonight I am alone for dinner maybe just a salad. I've been a eating machine lately.

Hi y'all,

Lauren, I'm sorry I missed your birthday! :sad1: I'm a rotten friend. I hope you had a nice day.

I've missed so much, I can't possibly cover it all.

Laura & Becky, I'm glad y'all are home & safe!

Marilyn, The pics are amazing & scary to this southerner.

Kathy, Hope you feel better!

A's play was very cute on Friday & she loved being up on stage.

I'm doing okay, had a physical therapy evaluation today, another MRI tomorrow. Trying to get the wrapping done & a couple of gifts I forgot. Feeling annoyed at family, for either not coming for Christmas Day, or asking me to change the time of the meal or not offering to bring anything. Kind of overwhelmed.

Going look on FB to see what else I've missed.
