My dinner tonight was a big hit. I really liked the mango avocado salsa with the swordfish. I can post the recipe, if anyone is interested.

Liam's team won tonight, 9-0. He didn't have any significant impact on the result, but he did play. He didn't bat last tonight either.

I'm glad they won!

So the truck came today....it's all unloaded and partly unpacked. We have a HOT MESS up in here! We need to go to the supermarket but I just can't bring anything else in here until this mess gets tackled a bit.

Augh, I hate moving. Esp in the summer heat! Your new pup is a cutie, hope all is going well in her adjustments!

Well, my first baby is turning 12 today. I have no idea where the time has gone! I have to get her up and moving soon. A bunch of her friends are coming over at 10:00 to decorate her room, so I need to get her out of the house for that surprise.

have seen Uncle Bob (and Nana and of course Princess Alexis) watching tv with crowns on our heads! If Uncle Bob's crown slipped off, the Princess kindly placed it back on his head!

The Boy is very well house trained and pretty good company for an 8 years old but if its not a night for wee ones that is not a problem.

This cracks me up.

Only one more day of Day Camp It's been a tough week but it's almost over. Whew.

Tonight I made tuna casserole - DH hates it so I make it when he leaves for any amt of time. Yum!

Aimee -- Good luck with the one more day! It is nice to be able to eat the foods you want, isn't it? I love having Greg home, but meal planning is way more involved.

Mango Avocado Salsa

1 ripe mango, diced
1 ripe avocado, diced
1/2 red onion, minced
1 jalapeno, seeded and minced
2 tsp fresh mint, minced
juice of 1/2 lime
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp red wine vinegar
salt and tabasco to taste

Gently combine all ingredients except salt and tabasco. Add salt and tabasco to taste. Serve with grilled fish, chicken or steak.

Had a nice night with my cousin but, oh my goodness, was it cold in the pool. We just had burgers on the grill and chips, then floated in the pool for about an hour. After we got dressed we had cheescake and talked for a while.

I am thinking of having some curried shrimp tomorrow night.

I am so happy that it is a warm and sunny day here, yay!!

Dinner last night ended up just being turkey burgers. I used the recipe that is on the cover of this month's bon appetit. They were actually quite good! No pictures though. I have not really been taking pictures this week because I am still trying to finish editing all of my vacation photos. I am really close to being done though, so this weekend I will have lots of food pictures to share!

Tonight I am making grilled shrimp in a blackstrap rum glaze, and also grilling a filet mignon for John. Vegetables will be whatever looks good at the farmer's market this afternoon.

Did I just post yesterday morning?! Y'all sure were chatty yesterday!! HUSH, I can't keep up!

We had a nice time at the rehearsal dinner last night. She is getting married in one of the old churches in the city & it is just gorgeous. The place we had dinner is also very old & was beautiful too. The food was just okay, but the company & wine was great!

Maria, Gretchen, et al. I am getting a new rx today, so I should stop itching! Thanks to all of you for worrying about me!

Lauren, So glad T is doing so well! I'll bet you are going to go broke on those pictures! I don't blame you one little bit!

Ann, You are so sweet to be thinking about Angelina with your new little Emma & Luke to keep you busy! I'm so touched! tears...

Angelina has been sending out resumes & nothing is really happening! She has been busy helping out with the wedding preparations & the one PR job she picked up. She and Josh have also decided to go into business for themselves. They are close to closing a deal on purchasing an Anytime Fitness franchise! She is still activily looking for something, but no longer seems upset that it's not happening. Thank you for being concerned about her!

Maria, I'm glad you are doing a bit better! Prayers that it continues! I'm sorry I haven't confirmed on all the F&W stuff yet, but I will go over it with DH tonight! I am definite for Cali and pretty sure on most of the others. I just want to look over the F&W events again.

Arent any of you checking out the F&W dinners & such? I'll go look for the link with the info. after I finish here.

Laura, I'm glad Liam's team won, but sorry he's not getting a lot of action! I'm confused I thought Greg was coming back next week, I didn't realize he was already home & getting ready to head out again! I'm sorry for not keeping up with that.

Dinner last night was really nice. Chris is a quiet man but lately he is more talkative. Buddy draws him out and he will share what he can about his "birds". and where he can go from this position. Gail and I did get teased a little because we manage to confuse what the kids do. Apparently Debbie was embarrassed when we told everyone she was going to China for the Olympics....Gail got Kinosha Wisconsin mixed up with Bejing. Hey...it could happen to anyone at least that is my story and I'm sticking to it

Hello all. Thinking of doing a grilled curried shrimp tonight. Have a busy weekend ahead. I have to finish making jelly, work on two quilt projects, clean the family room and clean out my closet. I also have tickets to a concert tomorrow night. It is the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra playing along with Bugs Bunny cartoons, I think.

The jelly would have been done already but my DM decided to make blueberry sauce for ice cream last night instead of doing jelly like she told me she was going to She wanted to make the entire 4 lbs of blueberrries into sauce until I asked her what she was going to do with it once she was done. She has a very bad habit of making and buying things for us to "try" which translates into she'll eat little to none of it and expects me to eat the rest.
