Just stopping in to say hello and check on the Emma Status.

We got the truck all loaded. We fly down tomorrow. The truck will arrive probably around Thursday but we will find out later. We used a freight company that does residential moves but they cannot guarantee a delivery date; just give you an estimate. I'm in no hurry so I don't care as long as I GET my stuff back! The holiday next weekend could foul up getting things on Friday. Gives me a good reason to go clothes shopping if that happens, right?

Sorry I haven't posted today. It's been crazy busy here! I'm babysitting my niece and nephew today. My sister and her husband are at the hospital with their son, Ian. They found out about 3 months ago, that there's a problem with his heart, and today he was schedule for surgery to see exactly what the problem is, and if it's fixable.

The good news is that they found the problem, and were able to fix it. There's a 1 or 2% chance that the problem could come back, but those are odds we can live with.

I'm so glad it was fairly easy! I hope you can get some rest soon from all the kiddos.

I love the FB stuff, I never get to it all at once, I check out the new pics and videos when I have my coffee in the afternoon. It is just perfect for a break.

Sheryl- How on Earth do you keep Alexis busy all day? Kady was here yesterday and wanted to play a game. Okay. How do you play Mancala? Well that was a disaster, she ended up in tears because I said I'd call Marisa to help me, she wanted to teach me. On a good day I cannot figure out her rule...never mind on a game that I never saw before! We played Trouble so all was well but I was thankful that I had Princess Protection Program on my DVR! WE snuggled on teh chair for an hour until she was done woth that too

Dinner will be grilled steak. I have the rest of the package in teh fridge so it will be an easy night.

Checking in for an Emma update! Thanks Kathy for keeping us up to date!

Well, last night I was planning on grilling hamburgers. Ran out of darned propane. Seems like we just exchanged our tank, but I'm sure it was last summer. So, I might be using Lauren's oven technique for hte ribs tomorrow--as I'm sure DH won't be out to exchange the tank before that.

We spent last night finalizing our plans for the 4th. We decided to head to Dallas b/c it's not a bad drive from here (the lakehouse didn't pan out) We got a great deal ($54/night) at the Dallas Intercontinental. And we're gonna got to a Rangers Baseball game Friday and then Six Flags on Saturday. And then if DD has her way, the American Girl Place on Sunday. Fun, fun!

Bethany--safe travels! Update us when you get to your new home! And yes, holidays do screw up deliveries. We moved over Memorial Day weekend once. We got to our new house on Friday and our stuff didn't arrive until Tuesday. It was a GREAT excuse to go buy new furniture!

Nan--it's extremely hard for me to find things that keep my two busy all day during the summer. That's why they love Tues/Thurs when my mom is here for a bit. She always has something for them to do. I'm also lucky that my kids love going to the daycare at the gym. So it gives me a break and they get a break from me too! I'm really looking forward to next week--they are both in camp from 9-1 all week.

Okay, speaking of my troops, need to see what they want to do this morning. Have a great Tuesday. Hope to have an Emma update soon!

Home safe & sound. Came in late last night. What a magnificent time we had!!!!!

I have no idea what we are having but I can assure you that whatever it is, I won't be cooking it. I'm exhausted! I had to take my sister to the airport this morning and it is 75 miles away. We were up at 3:40 this morning so I'm really, really, looking forward to crawling in my bed tonight. I just hope Hailey cooperates.
