The What's For Dinner Thread - March '11 (recipe index in OP)

Marilyn - I totally agree! There is nothing that makes you feel better after an upchuck! :rotfl:

:rotfl: She was running around within 10 minutes chasing my oldest godson with an inflatable hammer he found and gave to her.

Marilyn – I’d have been throwing up right along with your niece, I don’t do anything that spins.:eek:

Neither do I. :thumbsup2 And I have to say I handled it pretty well, no feeling like I needed to follow her. :rotfl:

Sorry for all the sickies.

Dinner last night was fried oyster, fries and roasted veggies. Tonight I have not a clue although my DM had out a thing of some sort of ground meat.

Hi, everyone! We made it back from Disneyland ok. It was a fun trip! I'll give y'all the highlights in just a minute.

First of all - Welcome to the newcomers!!! It has been wonderful to come home and find a couple of new posters!

Jen - I didn't know you were a speech pathologist! That's wonderful!! My mother was a speech therapist/pathologist in the school district for many, many years! I loved helping her with stuff!!

Ellen - Welcome home!!! Sorry that the one grandbaby is not being an exhibitionist! All my girls kept themselves nicely covered... if that gives you any hope. Congrats on the second baby coming in March!!! Your cup truly runneth over, doesn't it???

Kathy - Congrats to Kyle on the job! I hope that he likes it, and that they will work around his schedule!

Lindsay - Hooray for the book date! Sounds like you had a great time, all things considered, and maybe, just maybe, you've created a tradition! Sorry about Chloe's ears. All my kids have a high tolerance for pain, and I never knew they had ear infections, until those little ears were just oozing icky stuff. I hope she's feeling better now!

Vickie - I'm super touched by your spiritual experience! What a special feeling. I'm so happy for you! Sometimes we just have to remember that He never gives up on us, no matter how many times we give up on Him! I hope that the boy's feet are feeling better. I can't tell you how glad I am that your vacation "mix-up" is all cleared up! If you need someone to take Colin's place... you know, to teach him a lesson, be sure to call. I'd be happy to sacrifice and come with you!

Princess - Your dinners look amazing, as usual!! Sorry about the food poisoning. That is vicious! I shudder to remember how it feels. Hopefully, all is better now.

Marilyn - I'm glad you enjoyed the fair, upchucking and all. How many goldfish did you come home with this year?

Janice - Sorry about the thunderstorms. I know some people would be glad to take them off your hands!

Dinner here tonight is Sloppy Joe Hashbrowns.

Be back in a minute with a small (highlights only) trip report!

First of all, I plan on having some pictures up on facebook soon. Well, soonish. Alan has the cable to download them, so you'll have to wait until tomorrow. He works late tonight. Also, I don't have any pictures of the lake portion of our vacation. My camera's batteries died, and there wasn't a store close enough to get any.

Our vacation at the lake was really nice. We stayed on the eastern side, and there were hardly any other people around. Thus, our kids were able to play in a very secluded area, and we didn't have to worry about them annoying other people. We had some spectacular thunderstorms on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons, but other than that, it was nice and sunny.

We headed to my dad's house on Friday morning. We arrived there in time for showers and to throw a load of laundry in his washing machine before we went to the theater for a matinee of "Noises Off!" Very funny!!! The kids slept through it, though, as camping really wore them out! That evening we went to a birthday dinner with my brother and his family and then to see "The Music Man" which was fantastic!

Saturday morning, we began our trek to Anaheim via Primm, Nevada. Our first stop was at the outlet stores in St. George, Utah, for my hubby to find some shoes and shorts for Disneyland. I told him it was stupid to buy new shoes and not have them broken in for all the walking we were going to do, but he wouldn't listen to me. Oh well, he paid for it in the end. A few hours later, purchases in hand, we were on our way. We stopped again, in Las Vegas, at the Disney outlet store. I was hoping to find some autograph books, but no luck. The kids did find some hats, so I was ok with that. After that, it was on to Primm to meet up with my sister and her family, my second brother and his family and my dad. We got checked into our hotel (after waiting in the check in line for 1 hour... no exaggeration), and then grabbed some McDonald's to eat in the room before bed. We settled into our beds, and watched some Harry Potter while going to sleep.

We were up bright and early to finish our trek to Anaheim. We left Primm at 7:00, and drove over the Sierra Nevadas through the worst thunderstorm I've ever seen! It was blinding. However, it ended as we descended into the valley. We arrived at our hotel in Anaheim (Park Vue Inn, across from Disneyland), at 11:00 and met up with my first brother and his family. We quickly loaded up Timothy's stroller with bottles of water, snacks and sunscreen and walked across the street to the main gate of Disneyland! We had an amazing time that first afternoon, even though it was terribly hot. We rode several rides, even though the crowds were terribly high. We just ignored Tomorrowland, and spent our time in Critter Country, New Orleans Square and Frontierland. My twins were able to conquer their fears of Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion, and Big Thunder Mountain that day. I had offered the kids a reward for riding all the rides that they were big enough to go on, and they really wanted it, so fears were laid to rest. After checking in to the hotel at 2:00, we rested for a couple of hours, and then went back to the park to use our fast passes for Indiana Jones. Great ride!! We did a few more small rides (for Timothy and his cousins Paxton and Cooper), and then headed back to the hotel to sit on the breakfast patio and watch the fireworks. Nice!!!

The next few days followed the same pattern: Disneyland by opening, back to the hotel by 1:00 for swimming, lunch and naps, California Adventure at 5:00 with some hopping back to Disneyland. We went on the new Star Tours more times than I thought we'd be able to in the 5 days we were there, and never had a completely identical tour. There were several elements that were the same in the rides, but each ride was different. Jacob was chosen as the rebel spy once, and Mary was as well. A couple of the other cousins had turns as the rebel spy, too, and that made their trip!

Timothy absolutely loved Flik's Fun Fair! He went on every ride there multiple times. His favorite was Tuck and Roll's bumper cars. Luckily, he had a never ending line of cousins that were willing to go with him and drive him around. He also loved Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters. He even managed a respectable score for a 2 year old! I was really looking forward to him going on Toy Story Midway Mania, but the heat got to him, and he began throwing up in line. Alan took him out and back to the hotel. Lucky me, I got to deal with standing in line waiting for a CM to clean the mess up!

We had breakfast one morning at the Plaza Inn with Minnie and Friends. This was one of the highlights of the trip! The kids got to see so many characters! They all loved it, from the oldest (19) to the youngest (2 months). My dad just sat back and enjoyed watching the fun! Timothy got to meet Pooh Bear and Tigger, and you'd have thought he was meeting a rock star, he was that excited! He just kept hugging them and giving them high 5's!

I got to spend an entire afternoon alone with my dad while Alan took the kids to the beach! Dad and I didn't want to go, so we had lunch at the Plaza Inn, and then did some shopping at Downtown Disney. It was so much fun! We didn't buy a lot that day, but spent some real quality time talking and being together! I forget that my dad is 80, since he acts like he's about 50, but when I saw the heat getting to him, we quickly got a diet Coke and made our way back to the hotel to put our feet up in air conditioning and rest!

The last afternoon, my dad and I took Katie and my niece, Marina for a shopping trip. We shopped up and down Main Street, and ended up in the ice cream parlor for root beer floats. Actually we had 2 Coke floats, 1 orange float and 1 root beer float. This has become a tradition on the last day, and we all look forward to it! Afterwards, we went to Downtown Disney, and did our real shopping there. We found some wonderful stuff, and since dad had coupons for 20% off, we made out like bandits!

We all picked up a nasty virus while we were there. My BIL started us out, and it just kind of worked it's way through us all. I think we're getting over it, although Jacob is down today. It has been nasty!!! Think, flat on your back for at least 3 days! Ick!!! Luckily, my dad has been spared! That was the only downside to the whole trip! The night before we came home, Leslie came down with a fever that was so high! We ended up having to stop on the way home and take her to an urgent care clinic. She had the virus plus a double ear infection. One shot in the butt later, and we were on our way home. By the time we made it home, Alan was down with aches, chills, fever, bronchitis and general ickiness!

I feel badly that we weren't able to go to World of Color while we were there, but with the amount of little people we had, it just didn't make sense. Most of them wouldn't have been able to see most of it, so we just didn't even consider it. That was my only real regret of the trip. The rest of it was great fun, even if it was really hot! Dad agreed that it's back to June for us! No more August!!!

This was a trip of independence for Katie! She and my niece spent a lot of time together, on their own in Disneyland, etc. We kept in contact through cell phones, but they had a great time on their own. They did Fantasmic together, and rode many rides that the little ones didn't want to. It was a fun thing, and they've decided to make it a tradition.

Anyway, that's our trip, in a nutshell. I didn't take trip notes, so I can't tell you what we rode, when, but we rode all our favorites, and bypassed those we don't like. Crowds were terrible on Sunday, Monday and the first part of Tuesday. However, by Tuesday afternoon, they had thinned out considerably, and the last couple of days were really sparse! Nice for us!!!

I'm glad to be back, even though it means that school is right around the corner. Now, I just have to dream about another trip to Disney. I'm trying to get Alan to agree to a solo trip in the Spring, but we'll see about it.

Hey all! I briefly read back but cannot catch up now. Hugs for all. I did a really crazy thing and drove to NJ this weekend and adopted another dog. :rolleyes1

I have really been trying to cook healthy and made this yesterday and it was awesome and so easy so I thought I would share. Tom said please put this on a weekly rotation (since I rarely make the same thing twice or Nanatize too much!).

Garlic Brown Sugar Chicken

4 boneless chicken breast, cut in chunks
Montreal Steak Seasoning, use to your liking
1 - 2 tbs extra virgin olive oil
1 - 2 garlic cloves sliced
1 tbs butter
3 UNPACKED tsp brown sugar

Place chicken, olive oil and seasoning in a ziplock and marinate for at least 2 hours.

Melt butter and saute garlic until lightly browned.

Add chicken and brown.

Add brown sugar and toss to coat. Add a couple tablespoons of water if you want more sauce.

Serve.

Yum, yum, yum!

Love to all! i will try and check back later. Tom is not home so I have the evening all to myself...well, after the kids and doggies settle!

dinner tonight is grilled pizza...with bacon and lots of veggies! I have no idea why I have never done grilled pizza before...its great!

Lauren That chicken sounds really good. Mr A doesn't do sweet dishes though:confused3 I'll have to do it for me or make some without the brown sugar.

WFD is grilled burgers and salad. It has been a beautiful day low humidity and temps. :thumbsup2

Glynis, Welcome Home! :goodvibes Wow that sounds like a jam-packed vacation! Must have been wonderful to spend time with your Dad & the rest of the family! Other than the virus, it had to be a great time. :cool1:

Lauren, Heeaaay! Miss you friend! Come back more often, I need inspiration to eat healthier. What did you serve with the chicken? Garlic & brown sugar is different, something I want to try. What kind of pizza dough are you grilling?

Alexis was much improved today!! Chris realized she had been taking narcotic medicine for too long, so today I gave her just tylenol and it was like having my girl back! Honestly thinking the drugs were just making her feel yucky & so she complained more about the pain, so we gave her the meds. :upsidedow She finally sees the dr. tomorrow for her recheck.

Nancy, You know me too well. You & I are very much alike. I get really :mad: but then I love them & get over it!

Aimee, That beef looks delicious! Another one I will have to try!

Princess, You must be worn out! :hug: I hope your DH is back to normal tomorrow!

Oh I took a break. Our aide Miranda was here, we were chatting & laughing but now it is way past bedtime & I didn't finish here!

Sorry, I'll have to try again tomorrow.

Oh dinner. Shredded chicken, carmelized onions, peach & guacamole salsa in ww tortillas. it was good!

/
Lauren- That chicken looks amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!! Miss you Girl!

Marilyn- loved that your DN was running around so quickly, I would be out for the day ;)

Sheryl- us Nana's are all alike :thumbsup2 Glad your girl is back to normal :goodvibes

Welby came in last night looking fresh as a daisy. On the other hand, I was floppy droppy mop :dance3: and Kady crawled out of here. She earned the $10.00 that I had decided to give her if she played nicely with the girls. Buddy took one look at me and sent me into the shower and I did not argue. I forgot how fast those little girls were........there is water in my couch, chips hiding everywhere, blockades still up, and my floor will never be the same :laughing: But when Nola begged her mom "Don't take me home" it was all worth it princess: I love my girls!

I am going to cook tonight, but have no idea what. I am taking Kady to lunch and then to see the Smurfs. We will stop in at Costco after the movie and then off to Collins Creamery for homemade ice cream. I am hopping off my diet for one of their delicious cones :yay:

Next week we are going to the Butterfly Conservatory and maybe back to the Science Center. I cannot believe how Kady loved the exhibits there, especially the weather center.

Nancy Enjoy your day with Kady. I wish A would see movies like that still, but he thinks they are too silly. Well that is the point:rolleyes1!

I am totally exhausted this morning. I was sleeping pretty good but A woke me to come look at something:rolleyes: It was a big ole centipede :scared1:. I totally hate those things. After that I was totally icked and couldn't sleep.

I added another chapter to the birds and the bees. The one about that the male kills all centipedes :lmao:. I told him that makes for a successful relationship when the male or other special person kills the bugs and catches the mice.:teacher: He was not excited about that addition. He says he will capture the ants but draws the line with multiple legs and furry faces.:rotfl2: I fear my son with be living with me forever :rolleyes1

If it is Wednesday (Hump Day) night, it must be dinner at mum's. Yup! In a mild food coma tonight.

Thanks all, for your well wishes for DH's speedy recovery. It is very much appreciated.
DH woke up this morning still feeling sore and experiencing the cold sweats; but he was much better. I hightailed it out of the house as quickly as I could to head to work where I could work frantically in the salt mines and recover from the last 2 days with DH!! :rotfl:

I love him to death...but when he's sick...yeah....death is a word that does figure; but not in a good way. :headache:

But the good news is that he ate well at mum's....hmmm.....wonder who's food he prefers???

Glynis - welcome back! Your holiday sounds fantastic and, if you want a(nother) peek at World of Colour....I captured a couple (or a hundred) shots of the show in Jan this year. There is an index in the second post in the thread http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2614243, and you'll be able to see the World of Colour posts there for quick links.

And if anyone is interested....there is also a couple (or a hundred) shots of Club 33, including food porn, in my TR. :rolleyes1
Yes - also clearly marked in the index on the second post.

Glynis – Welcome back! With the exception of the virus it sounds like y’all had a great time. I especially enjoyed Katie’s “independence” and your alone time with Dad.:thumbsup2

Lauren – I’d love that chicken but, like Janice’s boy, my guys don’t do sweet. How’s the precious new puppy doing? I just saw the pic you sent last night…I’m still not used to this phone.:sad2:

Sheryl – Glad to hear Alexis is doing better! When does Jude come back?

Nan – Enjoy your day with your girl!!!!

Janice – You’re killing me with the male kills all centipedes…:laughing:

Princess – We have all posted at one time or another about when men get sick, it’s not fun!:hug:

WFD – Grilled pork, pineapple & pepper kabobs and fried rice.

How cool! I love my job! :lovestruc I just got a call last night from the lead speech pathologist, and during our large district meeting on Monday, we're all going to dress up like biker chicks. :lmao: I'll probably take pics and post them on FB.

And so glad you're back from your vaca. Sorry about the sickies, but I do hope the rest of it was good enough to drown out some of those yucky times.

Hey all! I briefly read back but cannot catch up now. Hugs for all. I did a really crazy thing and drove to NJ this weekend and adopted another dog. :rolleyes1

Awwww. Did I miss it? What kind of baby is it?

Alexis was much improved today!! Chris realized she had been taking narcotic medicine for too long, so today I gave her just tylenol and it was like having my girl back! Honestly thinking the drugs were just making her feel yucky & so she complained more about the pain, so we gave her the meds. :upsidedow She finally sees the dr. tomorrow for her recheck.

Ya' know, I've been on some of those meds over the past week and it's shocking how bad you feel sometimes when they're supposed to make you feel good.

Glad she's doing better. :hug:

there is water in my couch, chips hiding everywhere, blockades still up, and my floor will never be the same :laughing:

That sounds like my kind of party. :rotfl2:

I am totally exhausted this morning. I was sleeping pretty good but A woke me to come look at something:rolleyes: It was a big ole centipede :scared1:. I totally hate those things. After that I was totally icked and couldn't sleep.

:scared1: I wouldn't have been able to sleep either.

If it is Wednesday (Hump Day) night, it must be dinner at mum's. Yup! In a mild food coma tonight.

Thanks all, for your well wishes for DH's speedy recovery. It is very much appreciated.

:goodvibes Glad he seems to be on the mend. :rotfl:

And :wave: to everyone else!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today, I'm cooking. I NEED to participate in my family again. This being "out of commission" thing is frustrating.
Still taking it easy though and I'm making some homemade pasta salad to go with some hot dogs. It's good enough though. :goodvibes
I'm feeling MUCH better today, but still not myself. I suppose this whole recovery thing takes time, I'm just not used to it. :lmao:
I hope everyone has a great mid-week. The weekend is almost here. Which means it's almost time for me to go back to work! :scared1:
Have a good day!
Good Morning! Quick fly by...I need to get straightened here and head to the gym. Dinner tonight will be fish (whatever looks good in the store) packets for me A and T and tom will have a steak. sides will be potato packets and tossed salad...maybe broccoli too.
Lauren That chicken sounds really good. Mr A doesn't do sweet dishes though:confused3 I'll have to do it for me or make some without the brown sugar.
WFD is grilled burgers and salad. It has been a beautiful day low humidity and temps. :thumbsup2
It would be easy enough to pull some out of the pan for A before the sugar goes in. I thought the combination a little wierd but I already plan on making it next week. Love the centipede story...sorry you did not get good sleep though. A is squirmy with bugs too.
Lauren, Heeaaay! Miss you friend! Come back more often, I need inspiration to eat healthier. What did you serve with the chicken? Garlic & brown sugar is different, something I want to try. What kind of pizza dough are you grilling?
Hey! Miss you too! I loved our texting session a couple weeks ago. Glad Alexis is feeling better. I used the premade dough from Trader Joes. They came out really good. Lots left over though so I guess I will have veggie pizza for lunch!
Lauren- That chicken looks amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!! Miss you Girl!
I am going to cook tonight, but have no idea what. I am taking Kady to lunch and then to see the Smurfs. We will stop in at Costco after the movie and then off to Collins Creamery for homemade ice cream. I am hopping off my diet for one of their delicious cones :yay:
Next week we are going to the Butterfly Conservatory and maybe back to the Science Center. I cannot believe how Kady loved the exhibits there, especially the weather center.
Miss you too! Have fun today! I am glad Kady is having a blast and you are loving your girl time. xx How is Marisa? I really need to get back on track with you girls.
If it is Wednesday (Hump Day) night, it must be dinner at mum's. Yup! In a mild food coma tonight.
Enjoy dinner. I am glad your DH is feeling a bit better. We all suffer when the men get sick.
Lauren – I’d love that chicken but, like Janice’s boy, my guys don’t do sweet. How’s the precious new puppy doing? I just saw the pic you sent last night…I’m still not used to this phone.:sad2:
Pull some chicken for the boys and add a bit of sugar for yourself. I think it would be really good without it too...maybe add more garlic clove.
She is doing really well.
*******
Jen, I am glad you are feeling a bit better. Please do not over do it. The new doggie was found on the streets of Philadelphia so we are not too sure of what breed she is. She looks like a yorkie/shih tzu mix. Right now she is shaved with a mohawk since her fur was so matted when they got her. My neice (a Vet student in Philly) fostered her and was present during her nuetering so she thought it would be funny to give her the mohawk under anethesia (sp). She is very loveable so I think someone let her go on the street.
Glynis, glad you had a nice trip. I have to come back to read your TR.
Have a great day all. have to go before the terror (thomas) rips more of the house apart. Right now he is moving the stool from the island to reach something on the counter...not good! :headache:
Morning, everyone! Well, the virus still lives! Jacob is dealing with dizziness and a very high fever, and Katie has a sore throat. If hers continues, I'll take her to the doctor. They've both been coughing a lot, so I kind of think her sore throat is due to that.
Not much going on here. I'm compiling lists of school clothes and supplies that the kids need. On Monday I'll start taking them shopping, one on one. It's a fun time for us all, and we get a lot more accomplished that way.
Dinner tonight will be the honey-lime enchiladas Aimee posted. They looked so yummy and easy. I've never had much luck with enchiladas, before, but I'll give them another try.
Welby came in last night looking fresh as a daisy. On the other hand, I was floppy droppy mop and Kady crawled out of here. Welby fresh as a daisy?! Those young women just tick me off!!! :laughing:
You're throwing some wild parties over there, glad your girls had fun! You & Kady have fun!:goodvibes
I am totally exhausted this morning. I was sleeping pretty good but A woke me to come look at something:rolleyes: It was a big ole centipede :scared1:. I totally hate those things. After that I was totally icked and couldn't sleep.
The big ole boy woke you to look at a bug?!!!
Oh yeah, I think he's going to be around a while!!:rotfl2:
I know this probably sounds stupid, but not being able to kill bugs, is one of the things that frustrates me the most about Bob's handicap!!! Seriously I'm not kidding!
Angelina & I used to argue over who would kill the roach! Hate, hate, hate, these giant roaches we have down here! Have not had one in a long time, but used to get the big Flying ones in our den!!! :scared1: Picture Angelina & I screaming as we cover our heads & swat at the thing with a broom. Bob knew better than to even smirk!
If it is Wednesday (Hump Day) night, it must be dinner at mum's. Yup! In a mild food coma tonight.
I thought that you had been very restrained! :thumbsup2 You've had a sick man for what, 2 days & this is your first little gripe! You're a better woman than I!! :lmao:
Sheryl – Glad to hear Alexis is doing better! When does Jude come back?
WFD – Grilled pork, pineapple & pepper kabobs and fried rice.
Jude comes home today!!! :banana::cool1::dance3::yay: Yes his Mommy & Daddy too! hahaha! I miss that sweet boy sooo much!
Oh those kabobs sound really good!!
How cool! I love my job! :lovestruc I just got a call last night from the lead speech pathologist, and during our large district meeting on Monday, we're all going to dress up like biker chicks. :lmao: I'll probably take pics and post them on FB.
Sorry that you've been out of commission!! Glad that you are improving! I hope you'll be good as new very soon!
I'm not sure what to have for dinner. I am having trouble chewing, can't get into the dentist until Friday morning. I want tuna or scallops, thinking that will be okay. We'll see.
I know I'm probably going to confuse the heck out of everyone reading, but I going to delete my vent earlier. Feeling guilty.:guilty:
What did I miss,I hate to miss a gid moan,hope everything is ok ??
You have no idea how I wish you were closer too! I would love to have you and all my WFD friends as my guests, distance is not fun!
Do you do cornflakes and candy ?
I hate the distance even stops me speakin to you guys,I really need to get skype.....but first I need to work out how to use my computer.
We shopped up and down Main Street, and ended up in the ice cream parlor for root beer floats. Actually we had 2 Coke floats, 1 orange float and 1 root beer float. This has become a tradition on the last day, and we all look forward to it! .
I love this, your family trips are always so awesome.
Colin is on his last WDW legs so I have you down as first sub.....:thumbsup2
I did a really crazy thing and drove to NJ this weekend and adopted another dog. :rolleyes1
and I can just picture the Bobster not smirking....aye right !!
:rotfl2:
I know you guy would get my " moment " :hug:
So Saturday I got a little closer to the big man....and Sunday I nearly met him !!
Driving home from the fitbaw we were involved in a minor road accident that was 2 good drivers away from being rather nasty and very probably fatal.
:scared1:
Next fitbaw road trip - money,ticket,scarf and clean knickers.
Marilyn - I'm glad you enjoyed the fair, upchucking and all. How many goldfish did you come home with this year?
Three. Two, sadly but thankfully for my tank, have already died. They were kind of small. Being the good Aunt I am going to tell the youngest DN that hers is the one that survived. She actually did not win hers, the nice young man at the booth gave it to her when she got mad and started to cry. :sad2:
Your vacation sounds great. Our plans have changed four times for this month already and at this point we are just doing day trips, maybe. :rotfl: Originally my Dsis and DN's were going to go to the Bahamas for a travel agent thing, then we, and the BFF and her youngest, were going to do a road trip across the US and then we were going to go to the beach and Busch Gardens.
What with the Bahama trip being too expensive for Dsis, my BFF taking a road trip to take her oldest to college and would not be back until sometime Saturday and my Dsis now needing to buy a new couch it all just fell through.
Again not sure about dinner tonight. Last night ended up being an oyster pie, carrots and asparagus.
Hey y'all..
Been reading for a few days but didnt have anything interesting to post..
Pizza for dinner because..
My son left to go to his dad's in Indiana on May 31, and he comes home today!!! I havent seen him in so long, and missed him so much! :yay:
I
Thanks all, for your well wishes for DH's speedy recovery. It is very much appreciated.
DH woke up this morning still feeling sore and experiencing the cold sweats; but he was much better. I hightailed it out of the house as quickly as I could to head to work where I could work frantically in the salt mines and recover from the last 2 days with DH!! :rotfl:
I love him to death...but when he's sick...yeah....death is a word that does figure; but not in a good way. :headache:
And if anyone is interested....there is also a couple (or a hundred) shots of Club 33, including food porn, in my TR. :rolleyes1
Yes - also clearly marked in the index on the second post.
You poor thing :hug: My DH is a big guy but when he is sick..the World comes to an end. :sick: And I want to take up drinking.
Morning, everyone! Well, the virus still lives! Jacob is dealing with dizziness and a very high fever, and Katie has a sore throat. If hers continues, I'll take her to the doctor. They've both been coughing a lot, so I kind of think her sore throat is due to that.
What a way to come home from vacation :sick: I hope that virus goes away quickly!!!!!!!!!
Do you do cornflakes and candy ?
I hate the distance even stops me speakin to you guys,I really need to get skype.....but first I need to work out how to use my computer:
So Saturday I got a little closer to the big man....and Sunday I nearly met him !!
Driving home from the fitbaw we were involved in a minor road accident that was 2 good drivers away from being rather nasty and very probably fatal.
Next fitbaw road trip - money,ticket,scarf and clean knickers.
Vickie- you are giving me gray hair! Well making the gray show faster! Thank the Big Man, (or as Buddy would say The Man Upstairs) that you are alright!
We had a great day! Lunch at Ruby Tuesday, Smurfs, and then ice cream! i am not at all hungry!
Good morning all. Breakfast time and I'm having some porridge this morning. Still need my coffee.
WFDT? No idea. But I'm heading out to Costco; so I probably might come back with a quiche or something.
Have a great day!
